She sighed, and gazed her eyes upon the dark blue sky. The moon was high and seemed to look back down at the erethal creature that was she. Her long raven colored tresses gently caressed her milk white shoulders. Her grey/blue eyes held a mystery to them, that only she knew. Another sigh left her lightly pink lips, as her thoughts were focused on another.

"Kagome?" She was broken from her thoughts by her friend, the taijya, Sango. "Kagome? Are you ok?"

"Umm..., yea I'm fine, I'm sorry I just kinda zoned out." She gave her friend a reassuring smile.

As Sango was about to say something, a rustle from the bushes interrupted her. She quickly gripped a rock, and chucked it into the bushes. A loud thud was heard, the rock had made contact and a now unconscious Miroku fell from them.

"Grr, damn lecherous monk!" Sango yelled, which caused Kagome to giggle and she was brought back down to earth.

"Come on Sango, lets get dressed then drag this...thing... back to camp." Kagome said with a laugh, throwing a towel over the monk's head, just incase he was really awake.

Kagome stretched as she rose from the steaming water, shaking her hair gently, she got out and wrapped a towel around herself. Her eyes turning to meet the back of Sango, she looked at the many scars that lined Sango's back, and suddenly had a flash of the pain Sango has been through, not just physically either, she could distinctly make out the scars of an arrow's piercing point, which were from her own brother.

Kagome shook her head, and dried and dressed. "Ready?" Sango asked now fully dressed.

Kagome nodded and grabbed up her things, while Sango picked up Miroku and slung him over her shoulder like a bag of potatoes, which caused Kagome to giggle softly.

Silence loomed down on them as they walked back to the villiage. Shippou pratically bum rushed Kagome when she set foot into the hut. "Hi Shippou." She smiled hugging him back.

She looked around. "Where is Lady Kaede, and Inuyasha?"

"Kaede is out picking herbs, and Inuyasha just up and ran off, and...I see you found Miroku." She said, looking at the lump on the floor that was Miroku.

Kagome set Shippou down."What do you mean, he just up and ran off?"

"Exactly what I said, one minute he is sitting quietly, the next he's gone."

'Hmm..' Kagome thought. "Shippou, which way did Inuyasha go?"

"I think he was headed towards the well."

"Arigato Shippou-kun. I'll be back in a bit, ok? How bought you keep Sango company till I get back."

Shippou smiled up at her and nodded.

Kagome wandered unto the outskirts of the villiage, hoping to catch some kind of glance of Inuyasha, but so far, she found none.

"Inuyasha, where are you?" She spoke to herself, and if almost on the instant, she saw him hop down from a tree in the distance. "Inuyasha!!"

He didn't seem to hear her, because he kept on walking into the dense area that was the woods. Kagome blinked. "With his good hearing, he should have heard me." She took a few steps, before jogging after him.

She kept her distance from him, keeping at least 10 feet away from him. 'I wonder where he is going.' Kagome thought, moving a bit faster to keep her eyes on him.

Kagome stopped behind a tree as Inuyasha neared a clearing. He was seemingly waiting for someone, and that's when she saw her.

Kagome's eyes widen as the scene before her continued to play out. Inuyasha embraced the clay figure, and Kikyo snaked her arms around Inuyasha's waist. Kagome watched as Inuyasha kissed the priestess, she watched as his hands slowly undid her robes and slid them off her pale, cold body.

Kagome turned her head, she could not bear to watch the rest. Her eyes burned with unshed tears, and her body quivered with soft sobs. 'Why? What did I do Inuyasha?' Was all she could think about, as her legs sprung into motion.

As fast as her legs would allow her to, she ran deeper into the evergreen forest. Sharp branches and thorns attacked her body, leaving cuts and marks in their wake, and tree roots shot up every where demanding that she fall into the dirt. She stumbled blindly into a moss covered area, and fell to the ground.

Sobs wracked throughout her fragile body as she cried out her breaking heart.

"Damnit Inuyasha! Damn you!! Why? Why!!"

Unknown or unseen to Kagome, a black mist began to form around her. She sat up trying to calm her jagged breath, but couldn't, the mist choked her, it was as if cold, dark hands were around her neck cutting off life giving oxygen.

Kagome soon was fading in and out of consciousness, her last thought before cold darkness swept over her was of Inuyasha and why...

Crimson red eyes chuckled in delight...
