Chapter 6 -

Kagome smiled happily as she looked at the two out of three friends who were dressed and ready to go. She made Inuyasha wear a pair of baggy pants and a red button down shirt, with black steel toed boots and a black hat. Kikyo wore a form fitting black pants and a simple off the shoulder white shirt with a black and white bandana covering her ears.

Kagome turned towards the bathroom door and knocked lightly. "Come on Angoli… we have to get going!" She giggled lightly when she heard Angoli whimper before opening the door. All three nearly choked on their tongues from the sight in front of them.

Angoli shifted uncomfortably and looked at their surprised expressions, one brow rising. She looked down at the shimmering purple strips of cloth that covered her breasts before it tied together around her neck, leaving her back completely exposed. Two black stripes were where he wings used to connect to her body. (Think Yura of the hair's outfit, only purple) The bottom of the shirt was connected to loose purple short-shorts that ended a little higher then mid thigh. A black skirt laid over-top the shorts, tying together in the front, leaving it open in a V shape in the front. Her tail, which she refused to hide, was wrapped around her waist.

She shifted her black boot clad feet and looked towards the ceiling. "Are you sure I must wear this, Kagome?" she asked, her cheeks tinting a light pink. The three shook themselves out of their stupor. "You look great Angoli! And I would prefer it, seeing as if you didn't and you needed your wings you would rip any of my others shirts!" Angoli nodded at Kagome's words, after all, she really didn't want to go topless!

Angoli sighed lightly, her bored mask on her face as she handed Kikyo and Kagome each a bracelet. "Just take the bow charm off when or if you need one and it will appear. It also has a spell on it, so all you need to do is pull the string back and an arrow will appear automatically." She said before turning towards Inuyasha. "Unfortunately, I couldn't do the same for your sword, but I have a concealing spell for it."

Inuyasha crossed his arms and pouted lightly, looking at the wall. "Feh, whatever." He mumbled, though was secretly glad. He really didn't want to leave it here at Kagome's house. Kikyo and Kagome put on their bracelets, admiring them for a moment. Kagome smiled brightly and looked between the three. "Ready then?"

^^ Three Hours Later With The Yu Yu Gang In Front Of The Shrine ^^

They had all been watching the Shrine for any sign of the person or people with the high energy levels when a portal opened up near them and demons began to pour out and attack them.

Kuwabara and Yusuke seemed to be handling their own alright, but after an hour and a half of fighting non-stop they began to slow from fatigue. Hiei and Kurama were all right, but wouldn't last much longer with their injuries. Kurama had a gash on his leg and upper arm, while Hiei was sporting a large gash on his stomach and two on his legs.

Yusuke panted as he knocked out a few demons. "What the fuck?? They just keep coming!" he huffed as he shot his spirit gun into a crowd of them. "You kill one and three come to replace it!"

Kurama narrowed his eyes at a few demons before lashing out at them with his rose whip; sweat trickling from his brow as he sighed. "We must be patient, Koenma is working on it." He watched the demons fall into the pile of dead demons accumulating under the portal before glancing towards Hiei.

Hiei slashed through a few more demons before he glared at the portal, readying himself to dodge a few attacks. "Hn. The portal is closing. But slowly." He commented before jumping into a fray of demons, his katana raised.

Kurama nodded slowly and sighed heavily, lashing out again. "Going at this pace, it will be a good twenty minutes until it closes completely, guys."

Suddenly, two streaks of pink and red came from behind the group, smashing into a few demons and turning them into dust.

Time seemed to freeze as everyone turned to see where it came from…

^^ Angoli's POV ^^

We were all walking back to Kagome's Shrine from that strange `Mall' place when I noticed the smell of demon's blood. I alerted the others before I started running towards the shrine, the sounds of battle in my ears.

I widened my eyes as we approached the shrine and heard Kagome gasp loudly from her spot next to me. Dead demons lay everywhere, in the middle was four men, two demon, and two human. They were fending off the demons, as best they could, but were obviously tiring.

I looked over in time to see Kikyo and Kagome let loose an arrow towards some demons. I sighed heavily and smirked, knowing they would want to help. Everyone froze and everyone turned to look at us, his or her eyes widening slightly before a few demons pointed at Kagome. "The Jewel!" they screamed before heading towards us.

^^ Author POV^^

Angoli growled deep within her throat as her tail unwrapped itself from around her waist. She leaned forward a bit just as her wings sprung from her back with a sickening loud popping noise. She waited until Inuyasha had his sword in hand before stepped towards him. "You two stay here and take out what you can." She grabbed a hold of Inuyasha's arms. "Ready?" she asked, watching him smirk and nod before she lifted him off the ground quickly.

Kurama turned towards the demons, watching them as some started after the other group, yelling something about a jewel. He raised a brow before flicking his whip towards some demons nearby. "Let's hope they can defend themselves, or run fast…" the words died on his lips as he looked up at the two flying figures, his brows rising slightly when he saw the man holding a sword as tall as him.

Angoli smirked lightly as she hovered in the air, her wings beating frantically. "Get ready Inuyasha…" she said softly seconds before dropping him, looking down at his smirk and watching him as he fell gracefully.

Inuyasha laughed almost evilly as he fell, watching as the demons approached, thinking he was an easy target. He charged his sword and swung it in a vertical line. "Wind scar!" he yelled, watching as the bright yellow and white energy engulfed most of the demons in front of him before he hit the ground. He chuckled lightly before dashing off to find his next victims.

Angoli dived into the closest set of demons, excitement and adrenaline coursing through her veins as she slashed open the demons with her claws and whipped at others with her tail. She looked towards the four strangers, who looked between her and Inuyasha in a state of shock. They snapped out of it quickly and began to make their way towards Kagome and Kikyo, destroying demons along the way.

Hiei eyed the winged one and the half-demon warily, but continued towards the two women at a semi quick pace. He raised a brow at the two women, noticing how similar they looked, he looked away quickly when he caught the younger looking ones eye, a very light shade of pink coming to his face as he slashed through a demon, confused and angered by his feelings of embarrassment for staring and the slight attraction.

Kagome notched an arrow and watched the three got closer to her and Kikyo. She quickly found a target getting closer and shot her arrow at it before she turned back towards the group approaching, accessing their injuries with a practiced eye. She blushed deeply when she caught the shortest staring her way, but she quickly shook her feelings away as she began to run towards them.

Suddenly, a large horned demon jumped between Kagome and the gang of boys, causing her to scream before stopping in her tracks and looking up at it's blood thirsty red eyes, her own widening in fear. Hiei and Kurama started towards the demon.

Just as quickly it was shoved backwards when a blur of black hit it square in the chest. The demon widened his eyes and made a gurgling noise when fangs clamped down on its throat and ripped it out, blood spurting everywhere. A second later the figure shoved one clawed hand through its chest cavity.

Kurama and Hiei widened their eyes and stopped in their tracks when they saw the bloody hand shoot out of the back of the creature, something looking like a mangled heart clutched in it's claws.

Angoli pulled her hand out of the demon and pushed it onto its back, throwing the heart to the side unceremoniously as she eyed the four men staring at her blood soaked features. She raised one brow before smirking lightly and taking off in the air. "Little more careful, alright Master?" she said to Kagome as she sped towards a few straggling demons.

Kagome just nodded dumbly for a moment, blinking once before rushing towards Hiei, who was bleeding heavily now. "There are only a few more demons and Angoli and Inuyasha can take care of them. We should get you four bandaged quickly." She looked off towards Inuyasha and Angoli, who seemed to be enjoying them-selves.

Kurama blinked and looked in the direction of the portal, which had closed minutes ago without him noticing. He looked between Hiei and Kagome, smiling happily at the offered help. "That is very kind of you… " he waited patiently for her name as he watched Hiei's reaction.

Kagome blushed and looked down at the ground before looking up at Kurama. "Forgive my rudeness. I am Kagome, and this is my friend Kikyo." She looked over at Hiei for a second before looking at Kurama. Kikyo bowed softly and looked them over, her impassive mask in place.

Kurama resisted the urge to chuckle as he watched Hiei glare at the young woman, but he could hear the other demons heartbeat quicken when she blushed and looked at him. He stepped towards Kagome and held out a hand. "An honor, Miss Kagome. I am Kurama and this is Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Hiei." He watched as she bowed her head softly as he pointed at each one and introduced them. Her eyes stopped on Hiei and they had a staring contest before she looked away, blushing a deeper color.

Kuwabara started drooling and rushed to her side quickly despite his injuries and took Kagome's hand in his own, ignoring the warning growl from Hiei. "Will you be my girlfriend?" Kagome raised a brow and started backing away warily, pulling her hand out of his grasp, "Your not gonna grope me are you?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.

Yusuke laughed loudly, holding his sides as he cringed in pain from his injuries. Hiei smirked lightly and Kurama chuckled as he watched Kagome eye Kuwabara, who in turn looked at her innocently. "Huh?!" he asked, confused. Kikyo shook her head and rolled her eyes, a small smile on her lips.

They all turned as Angoli and Inuyasha approached, both looking at the four men suspiciously. Inuyasha, being the way he is pointed his sword at them. "Who the hell are you and why were those demons attacking you?" he snarled, narrowing his eyes at them.

Kagome knew where this would lead and rolled her eyes, her hands on her hips. "Inuyasha…" she said warningly, tapping her foot on the ground. They watched as the half demon put his ears down and cringed, looking over at Kagome. "Sit!" his chin met the dirt and he yelped loudly before swearing like a sailor.

Everyone but Kagome, Inuyasha and Hiei laughed and looked at Kagome, who was blushing lightly. "Sorry about him, he seems like a real jerk but he is a sweetie once ya get to know him!" she chirped happily before gasping and stepping closer to Hiei, looking at his injuries. "Ouch, are you okay? Let's get you up to the shrine and treat that." She said, eyeing the gash.

Hiei raised a brow and crossed his arms. "Hn." He blinked in surprise when Kagome took his arm and began dragging him towards the steps leading to the shrine. Kurama watched in interest, a smirk coming to his lips as he followed. ^_^Ahh, so he has a soft spot for this Kagome girl. Interesting…^_^ Youko said to his counterpart, earning a glare from Hiei, who was reading his mind. ^&^ Shut up, fox. I just don't feel like arguing. ^&^ Hiei said telepathically.

Sorry this is so short, you guys, but next time I will try to make it longer! Hopefully the battle scenes weren't too bad, I am not very good at them ^_^ Thanks for reading and please R&R!
