Disclaimer: okay people, I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho, any Inuyasha character that is mentioned and the Shikon no Tama, just Suiichiro, Kit, and other un-important people named here. Oh, and there might be some cursing in this chapter. So for this chapter, the rating is pg-13. Viewers discretion is advised.

Chapter Four: Their Life and Meeting Up With the Past

As years past since that very day, only two questions plagued everyone's thoughts, will Kit ever know the truth and if she did, what will she do?

The day is coming to an end and soon night shall fall upon the sky. Youko, Kuronue, and Kit are currently out on a theft. Stealing treasures from the rich and killing those in their way is what they did best.

"We must pick up the pace if we are to live you two," Youko ran faster than his two companions due to his long legs. Youko Kurama, a six foot tall silver kitsune. Golden eyes that made even the sun jealous. Long silver hair only to be matched with his long bushy silver tail and two fuzzy silver ears. Wearing only a white tunic and grey ninja-like slippers. (A/N: gomen, but I don't know what they are called)

"Baka kitsune! Slow down!" the young bat demon yelled to his comrade. His name, Kuronue. Just as tall as Youko Kurama, long black hair tied up in a long pony tail that is covered up by a black tattered hat. Two long elfish eras poking out of his hat, wearing an all black outfit, a blood red pendant around his neck and two leathery black wings on his back.

"Kuronue, Youko is right, we must run faster. Give me some of your load and you can fly up ahead," Kit, the young female kitsune suggested. Not quiet as tall as her two `brothers' as she calls them, but what she lacks in height, she makes up in strength. Shoulder length wavy hair, charcoal black hair, two fuzzy black ears and six bushy black tails. One eye of chocolate brown and the other golden as the treasure she carried. Her clothing was blood red with black stripes and resembled the tunic of Genkai. And around her waist was a jewel shard, not just any jewel shard, but a shard of the Shikon no Tama.

Doing as he was told, Kuronue gave half his load to Kit and took off. Not long after Kourone took off, arrows began to shot towards the two kitsunes. The townspeople chasing them and shooting whatever they had at them. Running at the fastest pace they could, Youko and Kit dodged as many arrows as they could. But, as they ran, a demon came into their path.

"Kit! Take a left here!" Youko screamed to his only fox friend. "But what about you Youko!?! I'm not going to leave you to face this demon alone while we're being chased!" Kit matched the pace of Youko. As both kitsunes continued to run along the narrow path of the forest, the townspeople catching up and the huge demon closing in on them, Kuronue witness what was happening. Descending from the sky, Kuronue flapped his bat wings as fast as he could, until he reached Youko and Kit. Taking out his scythe from his back, he flapped faster till he cleared the demon, decapitating while doing so.

"Thanks Kuronue!" both kitsunes picked up their paces and soon the trio reached a cliff. Youko and Kit taking a dive off of the cliff, while Kourone flew down with them and taking a sharp right into the cliff, narrowly missing the arrows. Inside this cave was a maze itself that led to their true den.

"Lady Kaede, we lost them," one of the townspeople said to the old priestess hoping off of a horse. "What shall we do now?"

"We pray that Inuyasha will come." Kaede spoke in a gentle yet wisdom filled voice.

"Hahaha! Did you see the looks on their faces when we escaped yet again!?! Oh, how priceless!" Youko laughs with excitement and joy.

"Youko! We were either almost caught or drawn into another fight! Our bounty is high enough as it is. Do you know how much money is on my head alone? Over 200 million yen!" Kit argued with Youko. Even though she was a thief, she had fears and worries just as anyone would do. "Really? Then maybe we should turn you in," Kuronue joked.

"Ha-ha. Both of your heads are worth more, so shut it bat boy," Kit's voice filled with venom. "Remain calm Kit, we were just having fun." Youko tried to calm down the angry female kitsune. But he forgot rule number one: never get in the way of an angry female, whether she be a demon or human. And for that, Youko earned himself a punch in his face that made him slam into the cave walls, with that, Kit dropped her load and ran towards the entrance. "No one understands my feelings!" she yelled as she jumped out and landed in the forest below.

"Kit! Come back! We're sorry!" Youko tried as hard as he could to reach the young kitsune. "Hn. Just leave her. She'll come back once she cools down," Kuronue said in hopes of lifting Youko's spirit. And with that, they both trudged onto their den hidden within the waterfalls.

Walking along the dirt road path, Kit ponders of the days events. Hmph. Youko says that he understands the things I go through, but he has no clue what so ever. And Kuronue! Hmph! Both of them don't understand me, and maybe they never will. They have no idea what it's like to have no memory of your own parents. Bastards. As Kit's mind became clouded with her thoughts, she was unaware of the two glaring eyes piercing through her back. (A/N: not literally, duh.)

"Whoever is there, come out now, and I may spare your pathetic life!" Kit yelled in an intimidating voice. But the answer she received was most unexpected.

"Ku-ku-ku. You spare my pathetic life? Highly laughable, your power may be great, but not as great as mine, fool." The deep voice replied to the young hanyou. "Who are you and what do you want?" Kit's voice filled with aggravation. "I am Naraku. And what I want is you. You and that jewel shard around your waist." Naraku, said. His face shadowed by a white baboon pelt on top of his body.

"Never! This jewel shard is all I have left of my parents! And you shall never get your filthy hands on it, Naraku! So just shut up and get the fuck away from me!" Kit, clutching her jewel shard, said while backing away in the process. Youko. Help me. Please, I need you. Help me.

~~~~~~in the den with Youko and Kuronue~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Kourone! Did you fell that?" Youko curiously asked his winged friend. "No, why do you ask Youko?" Kourone turned his head to Youko and placed down the pearl necklace down on the table. "I felt Kit, she's in trouble, I just know it. Come on, I felt it coming from this way!" Youko yelled as he ran out of the den and into the forest with Kourone not too far behind. Kit, please be okay! Youko yelled within his head. `Youko. Help me. Please, I need you. Help me.' Kit's voice echoed through Youko's mind. "Kit!" Youko whispered to himself as he picked up the pace.
