Chapter Six: Meeting Him

As Kit lied motionless in the hut, an old lady slowly walked up towards a group of people; a dog demon, a fox demon, a cat demon, two human females, and one human male.

"Is she going to be alright, Lady Kaede?" the female with a huge bone boomerang asked the old lady. "She be alright for now, Sango. All she needs is rest. Inuyasha, who did this to her?" Kaede asked the dog hanyou.

"Who else, Naraku. Why do we need her for anyways Kaede?" Inuyasha asked as he sat up. "Do you not see it, Inuyasha? She be your sister, your half sister from your mother's side." Kaede walked closer to Inuyasha as his face went from a calm expression to a shocked one. "Now that you mention it Kaede, they do look similar," Kagome, the other human female, spoke.

"Yes, and I sense a familiar energy coming from her, it was exactly like Inuyasha's energy, plus they smell the same, except for a few differences," The little fox youkai, Shippo, spoke as he took the lollipop out of his mouth. "But, her scent reeks of Youko Kurama."

"Do you think she is his mate?" Miroku, the monk, asked. "Even if she wasn't, why would it matter to you?" Sango questioned the monk. "Uh, uh, hehe, it doesn't. But it would explain why she smells like him, though," Miroku backed up from Sango as flames appeared behind her.

While Miroku and Sango were having a little talk, Inuyasha silently walked into the hut and sat down beside Kit.

"Could you be her? The one that my mother talked soo much about when I was younger? Are you her, are you Kit?" Inuyasha gently stroked her cheek as her eyes began to flutter open.

"Who are you? Where am I? And where's Youko?" Kit spoke loudly and she stood up and backed away from Inuyasha. "First of all, I'm Inuyasha, you're in Kaede's hut in her village, and I don't know where this Youko is. Now, who exactly are you and why the hell was Naraku fighting you?" Inuyasha stood up and walked towards Kit.

"My name's Kit and…" Kit answered, but was soon interrupted, "Kit?!? Tell me, who was you mother, what was her name?!? And if you're lying about who you are then you're going to have to face my tetsusaiga!" Inuyasha spoke as he took the hilt of the tetsusaiga in his palms.

"Why would I lie about my identity!?! And to answer you other question, I don't really know, but the villagers in my old village told me that her name was Izayoi. Why does it matter to you anyways?" Kit took her fighting stance, but soon calmed down as Inuyasha let go of his tetsusaiga. "That was my mother's name. I guess you are her, you're Kit, my sister that mother has told me about when I was younger." Inuyasha slowly walked up to Kit and hugged her.

"So it's true, she survived. I thought she died. Why didn't she come and find me?" Kit gently pushed her brother away. "She thought that you were dead as well. So I guess you're my older sister now, huh?" Inuyasha said as they began to sit down once more.

"Yup, you're stuck with me now." Kit laughed as she gently punched her brother in the arm.

"Kit, who's Youko?" Inuyasha asked, in hopes that he didn't have a new brother as well. "Youko, his father adopted me into their clan of thieves when I was a baby, after, well you know. We grew up together with our friend Kuronue, a bat demon. They were like my brothers; they mean the world to me. Then Naraku came and well, here I am. Oh my gosh! Youko! I have to find him!" Kit stood up and she began to panic. Soon she and Inuyasha ran out of the hut in search for Youko.

"Ahhhchooo!" Youko sneezed as he was running. "Kit! Where are you?!? Kuronue, I can sense her, but I don't know exactly where she is. It's like she's running around," Youko told Kuronue as he (Kuronue) flew up towards the sky to see if he can spot Kit. "There she is! And it looks like she's running from a demon!" Kuronue yelled and he and Youko advanced towards Kit and Inuyasha.

"Come brother, he's this way, I can sense it!" Kit ran towards Youko's energy.

"Hey, you just called me `brother'." Inuyasha spoke as he matched Kit's pace. "I guess I did." Kit smiled towards Inuyasha as they entered a clearing, and stopped completely.

"Kit!" her name was yelled as two shadowy figures approached both Kit and Inuyasha. Once revealed in the light, the two shadowy figures were revealed and both Kit and Inuyasha began to prepare for a fight; Inuyasha wielding the tetsusaiga and Kit standing in her fighting stance.

Inuyasha: dammit! Who are they!?!

TLS: you should know, you're fighting them.

Inuyasha: is it Sesshoumaru?

TLS: why would I tell you?

Inuyasha: or is it Kouga? Or maybe it's Naraku again?
