Kurama, Sesshoumaru's General!

Chapter Eleven:

“Gather all the soldiers in the castle and my personal army. Have them report to the square,” Sesshoumaru ordered a nearby messenger. The young bear youkai ran off to complete his lord's orders as quickly as possible.
Kurama smiled at the words. `He has to express himself in the strangest ways. Why not just say “I don't want you to die, so try your hardest”? But I suppose, this is Sesshoumaru I'm talking about.'
They arrived at the square a few moments later and were surprised to see that all soldiers were ready already and awaiting orders. The two looked at eachother for a moment before Kurama spoke, “Do you have a strategy, Sesshoumaru?”
The Western Lord didn't answer. He returned his gaze to his army and examined what he had to work with. “Nenki is sending his army in a wave. I do not know what he may do with the remaining fourth of it. You and I will take care of those who are too strong for the army. I will kill both Nenki and Naraku if I can. I want you to take care of Nenki's general and then assist me with the hanyou and lord,” Sesshoumaru said calmly, knowing most of the army could hear him. He addressed the masses, “This war is what you have all trained for. I expect the best from all of you, no less. For those who did not hear, Nenki is sending his army in a wave across the border as we speak. He will have the assistance of the hanyou Naraku. Do not let him absorb you,” he paused to stress this part, “else you will be one more piece of his atrocious body. Do not go after the strongest youkai you can find. I will not have those who were too stupid to know their skill level slaughtered by the more powerful demons of Nenki's army.” Sesshoumaru looked coolly over his army before calling out, “We march Northeast.”
The army cheered before they got into formation for travel. Sesshoumaru and Kurama lead them out of the gates, riding their demonic horses proudly at the front.

It was the fifth day on the road, and still no sign of Nenki's army. With the lack of enemies, Sesshoumaru sent Kurama ahead to speak to the vegetation and locate the army. He discovered that they were attempting to come around to the left to attack. When he discovered this, Sesshoumaru stopped the march forward and lead them to the left. Within a day, they hit the army hard.
Kurama slashed his way through the endless sea of enemy youkai with his Rose Whip. He moved with grace cunning, defeating as many as he could. He spied Sesshoumaru wiping out almost twice as many as him with his poison whip. The lord was ripping a path through the army to get to Nenki and Naraku. Kurama, however, was going after the Northern General just as he was ordered.
Once Kurama had made his way to the other General, the two stared at eachother for a moment, sizing the other up.
“It seems you aren't quite as human as we all thought,” the other General spoke, his slitted brown eyes full of cruelty and scorn. “Are you a hanyou?” he asked curiously, a strange wind gripping at his dark brown hair, which was pulled back in a high pony tail.
Kurama said nothing and watched as the other General raised his sword. Kurama returned the rose seed to his hair and pulled out a blade of grass. It grew to a sword in his hand, thin as paper and sharper than metal. This made the other General even more curious, but he couldn't say a thing before Kurama attacked with Hiei's technique. It required amazing speed, but in comparison to the other General (who's speed was moot), Kurama was but a flash of colour. In the end, Kurama decapitated him and exchanged the blade for his whip once again. The General may have been weak, but Nenki and Naraku would not be so easy to defeat.

Sesshoumaru growled slightly as he continued to fight Nenki while Naraku was nowhere in sight. The idiotic Northern Lord wasn't as weak as Sesshoumaru had thought and was giving him a hard time. Suddenly, to the Western Lord's surprise, Nenki pulled back with a smirk. Sesshoumaru's eyes narrowed as he sensed a powerful youki behind him. Jumping to the side to avoid the attack, he quickly turned around to see his new enemy. It was Naraku, and the hanyou was more disgusting than ever.

Kurama spied the abomination that was Naraku attack Sesshoumaru with one of his many tentacles. As he fought his way through the demons to get to Sesshoumaru, he watched as the hanyou's flesh kept going back to him and healing. He watched in horror as a tentacle snuck up behind Sesshoumaru and moved to skewer him. Moving with a speed born only of desperation, Kurama ran towards Sesshoumaru.

Finally getting the upper hand, Sesshoumaru smirked. To his surprise, however, he was suddenly pushed to the side. Turning to look at what had pushed him, his eyes widened in shock as the tentacle stabbed through Kurama's lower left stomach. Blood flew in a colourful arch across the ground and his white haori.
“Can't have the Lord of the Western Lands dieing at the hands of a hanyou, now can we?” Kurama said weakly with a small smile before he was pulled away.
Naraku laughed evilly as he absorbed Kurama into his body. Sesshoumaru snapped out of his shock too late to help and could only watch as the last of red hair disappeared into the convoluted mass of Naraku's flesh.
Kurama was gone.
