I'm not dead, really! Nor have I abandoned this story. Honest. I just keep writing, glaring at what I wrote, and rewriting the next chapter. Then I get busy, and forget about it for a while. I was being bussed out to several shops for a while filling in places, you know, boring stuff you have no interest in.

On with the story, woman! Right? I'm working on it. Promise.

So… yeah! I don't really have that much to say, except an updated thanks to everyone that continues to read, and support. Honestly, I'm not a praise hound, nor do I really mind whether reviews are positive or negative. I think my favorite though, are ones where people point out grammatical errors. Even with beta-ing things are bound to slip by unnoticed. So double thanks to those reviewers.

As for the whole Yusuke/Yuusuke spelling, both are right, it's all in how you choose to romanize it. In Japanese, there`s a difference in pronunciation between “Yu“ and “Yuu“ so that`s why I favor the more traditional romanization. At least I go with the American spelling of Kuwabara, as opposed to Kurabara. But then I figured Kurabara would be too confusing for people, and it reminds me of “Carrabarra” and that's a whole rant on the ills of fake!Italian food.

Oh, wow! I have been insanely busy the last few months. I apologize for the lack of updates, it's just been reshuffling schedules and time management issues.

Thanks for all the feedback and encouragement. Don't worry, I haven't abandoned this story, even if it takes me forever and a year to update.   I've also already started in on the draft of chapter 8. So here's hoping that this next one won't take as long to get out. Though I make no promises.

EDIT: HA! Figured it out. Found MSWord. *hugs* Word.

Excuse me while I plot bloody murder to all things screwing with my formatting. New chapters will be posted in plain text until either, I quit throwing a tantrum and figure out the issues coming with this new computer I'm on, or fix them on the trusty old hunk-o-junk.

Oct 1, 2004   I haven't been happy with my chapters ^^; so... I'm rewriting everything. Well, they're already drafted. And I'm proofing them, and checking for errors. I've also started the drafting of the newest chapter, but it's not done.

I just felt like I was forgetting to put in ALOT of things that needed to be there. And I'm much more pleased with the new versions. As I get them finalized I'll repost them.

Firstly, thanks to everyone who's reviewed so far. *grins* Your ponderings are quite amusing. I think the answer is pretty obvious, but then I'm writing the story, eh?

Second, updates may ((read that: most likely)) will be slow in coming. Sorry, but I'm a busy girl. *shrugs* I'll do my best to work towards expedient updates, but I make no promises.

Third, all the places I've listed by name so far are REAL places. Let's not think of the hours I've spent staring at maps of Tokyo and Kyoto online.

Fourth (why, yes, I do like counting), I've been doing alot of research of kitsune lore. And the youko variety in particular. YES, a youko is a type of kitsune (rather rare, too, apparently... I knew it was a title, but didn't know it was an actual type of kitsune heh) NOT A NAME. *coughs* Pet peeve, sorry. Anyway, a youko is a born fox (the cute four legged furry kind) that is somehow embued with magic and become a "demon/ghost/spirit/faerie" fox. *nods wisely* Which is basically what Kurama says his backstory is, if you kiddies paid attention, I'm sure you recall. There's also this stuff about hoshi-no-tama and every kitsune having and protecting one, and stealing it from them forces them to obey you. *hmmm* Kinda like a leprechaun and its pot of gold. Doesn't that just scream brilliant fodder for fic? And tails are an indication of age, so going by that Kurama would be roughly 400 (though the manga likes to change his age depending on the mangatsu's whim, yay for that), since he has 4 tails. ((that'd also make Kirara 200 because she has 2 tails.))

Fifth, there'll probably be spoilerage of InuYasha manga up to current editions (as in out in Japan). Cuz the latest twists (especially concerning Kikyo and Midoriko) are just too good not to work into the story line.

Sixth... is there a sixth? Eh-heh. Oh yeah! minor technical updates to help fix the formatting, since mm is kinda screwy with it, and I'm anal like that. I'm going to start using the Spanish quotation mark thingies for telepathy.

And that be's all, so keep checking back here, for any form of author's notes; namely because I hate having to scroll half a page just to get to a story. And yes, I'm weird.
