Botan was the first to wake the next day. She tried to rise but she felt a small pressure on her chest and she opened her eyes and looked down. At first she was a bit confused, there on her chest lay a red bundle of something very hairy. It took her a few seconds before she realized that it was the little kit Shippou who had found his way up on her body during his sleep. She smiled softly and stroked the red head and was rewarded with a very content purring sound.

- I think he likes you!

The rough voice behind had her heart stop for a microsecond. She turned her head and saw Inuyasha crouching on his heels behind her.

- Gods Inuyasha-kun, you scared me, she whispered in one heavy breath.

- You scare to easily Botan-chan, he said with a smirk on his lips.

- Hmpf… snorted Botan and took Shippou gently into the crook of her right arm and rose to her feet.

Inuyasha looked at his newly gained son and his smiled inwardly. Shippou had taken his place on Botan during the night. At first the young kit had been wary, not sure if he could do it, but Inuyasha had nodded and he had curled up on her stomach. She smelled so good, safe and flowery, just like his real mother had done. And she was soft and warm.

Inuyasha wondered if Botan could see Shippou as her son as well. He smacked his forehead with the palm of his hand when his thoughts and hopes began to break up to the surface of his mind once again. He saw Botan settle down next to the died out fire and without putting Shippou away she managed to get the fire going again. Yep, she was good at handling children and other stuff at the same time. "A perfect mate." Inuyasha groaned again. "I need this shit to get out of my system before I take her by force." He thought and got up and took a giant leap away from the camp. He needed to relieve himself of the hardness that had grown considerable inside his baggy red pants.

Botan was concerned about the hanyou; he had seemed so troubled for a moment when she looked at him. She gently woke Shippou, the little kit rubbed his eyes and smiled lovingly at the deity.

- Good morning Botan-san, he said politely, trying to hide the fact that this probably had been the best nights of sleep he ever had have after his mothers death.

- Good morning Shippou-chan, have you slept well? asked Botan.

- Mmm, mumbled Shippou and stretched out in Botan's arms and yawned widely.

- Can you watch the fire, I need to find Inuyasha, he just took off.

- Daddy?

- Yeah, your daddy. I think I might have upset him or something, said Botan and bit her lip. - Please, just watch the fire while I talk to him ok?

- Ok Botan-san, said Shippou and hid a smile. He was pretty sure that his new daddy and Botan had a thing for each other, but none refused to show it. But he hoped that Inuyasha would take Botan as his mate, because that would make her his new mama.

- Good… Bye.

Botan summoned her oar and flew off between the trees.

Inuyasha had found himself a secluded area, a mountain cave. It was perfect for his little business. He sniffed around to make sure that there was nothing to disturb him, pleased to notice that there was nothing threatening in the neighbourhood he moved inside the cave and undressed. He sat down on his knees and put his left hand on his thigh and the right hand carefully gripped his aching flesh. He closed his eyes and imagined a certain blue haired deity with glittering lilac eyes.

- Yes Botan-chan, touch me, he whispered in a dark moan. - It feels so good Botan-chan.
