Kaede was having her hands full. She tried to talk to the two youngsters that practically were killing each other off with words. The redheaded young girl with a blue flower behind her ear shot green poison with her eyes towards the black haired young man with red eyes and a bandana over his forehead.

- Children, please calm down. I am sure we can settle this without getting violent, said Kaede and walked between the two.

- Miko-sama, he will not listen to common sense, snarled the red haired woman viscously.

- Onna, I will make sure that you don't say another word, threatened the young man.

- Please, I will not have a fight between demons in my village, said Kaede.

- Then we will take this fight outside the village, said the woman and used all her strength to kick the man in the stomach.

He flew several hundreds of meters away, landing unceremoniously on his butt. He was soon up on his feet again and was getting ready when his face was hit with another blow.

- HA!! That will teach you not to mess around with a wolf, snickered the female.

- Onna, I will spank you so hard that you will not be able to sit on your ass for twenty years, growled the male.

- Promises, promises, said the woman and sighed.

He growled again and launched towards her. They chased each other out of the range of the village and into the deep woods. Growling and snarling filled the air as they clashed together, fighting.

The shard hunting group reached Kaede's village late that afternoon. They had been travelling for two days and now they were back. Kaede saw that the group had grown quite a bit. Inuyasha took it upon his shoulders to explain what had happen during their last trip. He gave Kaede the pouch with Kikyo's remains and the old miko smiled sadly. Her sister was at last at peace.

Botan liked Kaede, she was a very good soul, she could feel it and she knew that Inuyasha looked upon the older woman as a grandmother. Sesshoumaru found Kaede to be a good source of knowledge.

Kurama sniffed the air, he could smell something very familiar, but he was not sure to why he could smell it. Although if Botan could be among them why couldn't he? Sango saw her mate's frown and she asked him what troubled him.

- I can bet my thumbs that I smell a certain fire demon named Hiei around here, but I am not sure to why I smell him. Miko-sama, has anything unusual happened here today? he asked Kaede.

- Yes, a young man came through the well and he found his way to our village.

- How did he look like? Did he have a black cape, black hair with some white in it and a bandana over his forehead?

- Yes, do you know him Kurama-san?

- His name is Hiei and he is a friend of mine. Where is he now?

- Well, he seemed to have angered a female wolf demon and the two crashed together both verbally and physical. They disappeared from the village around noon. I do not know where they are now, said Kaede with a sigh.

- Female wolf demon? Inuyasha chipped in. - What was her name?

- I don't know Inuyasha, she never told me her name.

- How did she look like? asked Kagome.

- Red hair, green sparkling eyes, a blue flower in her hair. She had a grey fur around her shoulders and hips, she wore a red and black armour on her upper body.

- Ayame? Inuyasha, it must be Ayame, the girl that chased after Kouga, remember? said Kagome rather excited, she liked the female wolf.

- Yeah, but why was she here? wondered Inuyasha.

- Perhaps we shall search for them? I don't think we can get any answers just sitting around here, said Kurama and released his hold on Sango.

- I will go with you Kurama-san, said Sesshoumaru and saw Inuyasha nod.

The three males said farewell and followed the nose of Kurama.

Kagome moved over to Miroku and sat down next to him.

- I need to go home for a few days love, she whispered and leaned her head against his arm.

- Hurry back Kagome-chan, I don't want to be without you too long, smiled Miroku and moved her to sit in his lap.

- I will Miroku. I need to tell mother about you, and if it possible, I would like to try to take you through the well too. It seems like its open for many these days, said Kagome and nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck.

- I would love to meet your family Kagome-chan.

- But first I need to prepare her a bit, then we will try ok?

- Ok, hurry back my love.

He tilted up her head and moved to kiss her. Just to feel her soft lips against his were heaven, he could never get enough of her taste and smell.

After waving good bye to Kagome - Sango, Botan, Shippou, Rin and Kirara helped Kaede with her herbal garden. They needed to do something while the three males were away. They would bring back any meat if they found any prey. But first their goal was to find Hiei and Ayame. Sango and Botan found each other that day, really found each other. They talked about everything.

Shippou, Rin and Kirara, well they did not help out so much, they were more interested in playing around instead. Kaede was glad, she liked the development in the shard hunting group. Together they would defeat the evil Naraku and free the lands from his darkness.
