Sesshoumaru walked through the forest. Next to him strolled the two headed dragon Ah-Uhn. The demon lord was thinking about what had happen during this last week. Much, that was for sure. The demon slayer had found her mate, the young miko got her perverted monk and his little brother had found a mate from another realm. Soon the young female wolf would have a mate as well…. Sesshoumaru stopped and looked to the sky where the clouds wandered with a snails pace. "And what about me? Why can I, Sesshoumaru find a mate as well?" he thought and felt a lonely ache inside his heart. He really wanted somebody to share his life with.

- What do you think my old friend? Do you think there could be someone out there for me as well?

- [Of course there is Sesshoumaru-sama.]answered the dragon telepathically.

- Perhaps I don't need anyone. I have you and little Rin.

- [Don't forget about Jaken.]came the dragon's reply.

Sesshoumaru actually laughed at that and he shook his head saying he would not forget about Jaken. But his thoughts were cut short when he smelled another demon, a low level demon he guessed by its stench. But he could also smell a human female nearby. He followed his nose towards the female. "She could be in danger." He thought and frowned. What ever it was that had happened the past week it certainly had affected his cool way of thinking. Before he could not care less about a stupid human female, but now - if she was to be hurt and he could have prevented it, he would feel awful. "Stupid feelings."

He reached the site where the old battered well was. He could see a huge bear demon raise his body on his back legs and his roars was deafening. Next to the well stood a human female, in her mouth was something small and white.
Sesshoumaru could see smoke rising from its end. Her clothes told him that he probably had come through the well just as the strange miko Kagome. She did not look afraid at all, instead she looked rather bored. He smelled the air trying to figure her out, but he could not smell any fear coming from her. Sesshoumaru was impressed; he never met a human who did not have the slightest smell of fear when they stood against a large demon as this. But she did and she did not smell of fear at all.

He used his energy whip to decapitate the demon and it fell to the ground with a heavy sound. He then turned to look at the female and was surprised to see her blow out smoke.

- Why did you not run away? asked Sesshoumaru with his deep voice and saw his friend and companion came walking through the forest.

- It would only add to his excitement, said the female with a raspy voice that sent chills up and down his spine and he saw her take in more smoke into her lungs.

- You are not afraid of demons?

- No why should I? Are you something to be afraid of?

She looked bored again and that made Sesshoumaru furious. She was defying his power. With a leap he was in front of her. He looked down into her face, into her golden brown eyes. He carefully sniffed the air around her only to get choked on the smoke she exhaled into his face.

- Bitch! he snarled.

- Yeah, I know, sighed the female over dramatically. - That is what everybody tells me, I should have known that a macho male like your self would call me that as well. Tell me demon… do you feel threatened by me?

- I will never feel threatened by a mere human female.

- Are you always this angry? Do you want me to be afraid of you?

- Most humans are.

- Well, I am not like the others, said the female and dropped the white smoking thing on the ground and crushed it under her feet.

She looked at him again and this time she smiled mischievously and she could see that it made him even more furious. She laughed softly and walked over to the two headed dragon and patted him on his two heads. She was rewarded by a content sound.

- You were a cute one, what is your name? asked the female, making Sesshoumaru very confused and off balanced.

- His name is Ah-Uhn, said Sesshoumaru and wondered why the hell he felt compelled to answer her in the first place.

- Hi Ah-Uhn, nice to meet you.

Sesshoumaru heard the tone of her voice change into a more softer one and he felt a wave of jealousy hit him. He wanted her to talk to him like that. "What the hell is wrong with me??"

- [You like her Sesshoumaru-sama.]the dragon's mental voice echoed through Sesshoumaru's mind.

- The hell I do!! snarled the demon.

- What?? the female turned around and looked at the demon with curious eyes.

- N-nothing… "Fuck, this Sesshoumaru does not stutter in front of a mere human."

- My name is Shizuru, what is yours?

- Sesshoumaru, he answered with a snort.

- Well it was nice meeting you, but I should get going now.

- Where are you going? asked Sesshoumaru.

- I don't know, actually I have no clue to where I am, said Shizuru and looked around as her fingers found yet another cigarette and she lit it with her lighter.

Sesshoumaru wrinkled his nose in disgust when the smoke filled his sensitive nostrils. Why would one want to do that to her body?

- You came through the well I presume… began Sesshoumaru.

- How did you know? Shizuru was surprised.

- You wear the same kind of odd clothing as a young miko not far from here. She is able to travel through the well, my first guess was that you had done the same.

- Oh, can you take me to her??

Sesshoumaru only nodded and made a swipe with his claws, cutting her cigarette in half and then picked her up bridal style and took to the air. He could hear her shriek in surprise, but still no traces of fear could be detected in her scent. "Truly one odd female." thought Sesshoumaru and headed towards Kaede's village.

Ah-Uhn would have laughed if he could. His master had finally found his match and it was driving him insane. [I wish you all luck my master, you deserve it.] thought the dragon as he began walking back to the village. Perhaps he could play with Rin and Shippou a bit. He liked the little girl and her fox friend.

Shizuru was angry, hell she was more than angry, she was in total rage. He had just plucked her up and carried her like groom does with his bride. It felt good, it felt too good. It took all her will power not to lean into his warm chest. It took more than her willpower to bury the egging feelings inside her belly. She knew demons often had a very good sense of smell and she would not give him the pleasure of knowing that she liked being inside his arms.

But she was not that good. Sesshoumaru had for the slightest moment detected her arousal and that made him painfully hard. He growled when she moved a bit in his arms, her body rubbing against his.

- Be still bitch, he snarled and held her even tighter to his form.

- Don't you call me a bitch…!!

- I call you what ever I want and besides - you are a bitch!!

- I am not a dog!!

"No, but you will be my mate and I am a dog demon…"the thought flashed through Sesshoumaru's mind and he knew he paled. Hopefully she would not notice it. He was glad to see the edge of the village and he landed not far from the old miko's hut. "Thank Kami…" he thought and released his grip on her and she struggled to get away from him. He could not help it, he smirked and patted her behind before taking to the sky again.

- BASTARD!!screamed Shizuru with flaming cheeks before she gained control over her emotions again. "You will pay for that demon."

- My goodness, what's all the racket about? asked Kaede and saw the flushing young woman.

- Who are you? asked Shizuru fishing up a new cigarette since her last one had been killed by Sesshoumaru but she put it back again. It could wait for a couple of more minutes. Now she wanted some answers.

- The name is Kaede; I am the miko of this village. Who might you be? Are you a friend of Kagome-san?

- I am Shizuru, but I don't know anyone here. Who is Kagome?

- That would be me, said a soft voice behind Shizuru.

Shizuru turned around and saw a girl in a school outfit. "Is this the girl Sesshoumaru spoke of perhaps?" she thought and nodded towards the girl.

- I am Shizuru, that conceited bastard of a demon, Sesshoumaru, said there was a girl around here that had come through the well, is that you?

- Yes, that is me. But how come you did it? asked Kagome and invited Shizuru inside the hut. Kaede began making tea for them all.

- There was this whelp who pushed me into the well inside this shrine I was visiting, saying it would give me a real adventure, snorted Shizuru.

- Souta-chan, I will get him for this, muttered Kagome.

- Souta??

- Yeah, my little brother. He actually made another person fall through the well too. Kurama-san..

- KURAMA!!????yelled Shizuru and was up on her feet again.

- I'll take it as you know who he is? asked Kagome with a smile.

- Of course I know him.

- Then you know who Botan-chan is as well? asked Kaede and handed Shizuru a cup of tea.

- Botan-chan? Here???

- Yes, she was here on a mission, but since Inuyasha made her his mate she will be staying here. She is carrying his pup now and she is the adoptive mother of a little kitsune demon, said Kagome and nodded her thanks to the old miko when she got her cup.

Shizuru sunk to her knees, barely able to process the information given to her. "Botan, she is pregnant?? She has a mate? What will it be next..??" She sipped the tea and found it to be very tasteful.

- And Kurama-san has mated my friend and sister Sango, she is a demon slayer. And I think there is another person here that you might know as well.

- Kurama have done WHAT?? And who is the other one??

- I think they called him Hiei and I think he is "courting" a young female, a wolf demon, said Kaede.

"Has the world gone mad?? Hiei - courting?? I can not fucking believe it."thought Shizuru and wanted to faint, this was getting hilarious. Hiei - courting? Hell would freeze over before he would even consider touching a female. They must have been mistaking something.

- I don't believe you; Hiei would not touch a female at all. He hates the female race, said Shizuru.

- Maybe, but that was Kurama-san told us, said Kagome.

- Then he must have been mistaking it for something else. Because… No, that little shrimp would not even consider courting a woman even if she was the last female on earth, stated Shizuru.

Kagome and Kaede shrugged their shoulders. They began talking about other things, how Kurama ended up with Sango, how Inuyasha made Botan his mate. They talked about what they were doing here. Kagome told Shizuru about Naraku and how his minions wanted their freedom. In the end Shizuru was not able to go back to the future. She wanted to stay and fight as well. It had been awhile since she had been able to kick some evil ass as she put it. "Liar, all you want it to be near that macho demon that saved you… Sesshoumaru." whispered her heart and she shook her head in denial.

Two hours later when the darkness had fallen Shizuru met the rest of the group, both Botan and Kurama was very happy to see her smoking appearance outside the old miko's hut. She was glad to meet them as well and now she could see that Kurama had taken a mate, the taijya was perfect for him. And Inuyasha, he was perfect for Botan. She liked it when he cuddled his mate and adoptive pup right before they went to sleep. "I like them all, they seem to be very good people and demons." thought Shizuru and moved to sit on the stairs to the shrine above the village. "I wonder where that other demon went… Is he coming back tomorrow?" she sighed as she killed another cigarette under her boot. This was not good, not good at all. She had lost her heart to that freaky demon lord and she knew it. "Love at first sight - and here I thought that was just a saying…"
