Authors note: Kur/Kag pairings aren't my favorite, but when I heard this song… I just HAD to write a songfic about the two! I kind of suck at this pairing so forgive me!

Kurama and her had been mates for a good solid year now. Once again, he was away on one of his missions. Yes, she knew about everything, Youko, the spirit detectives, and anything else he would keep hidden from any normal person.

They had dated for 2 years before he had actually purposed to her. Though it had been hard, with all the missions going on and such, but they had managed to stay together.

I'm on the second floor

With a lock on my door

The apartment they shared was on the edge of Tokyo. If you looked outside the window, you would see mostly green plant life. Kagome didn't mind, as long as it made Kurama happy.

I'm looking at a picture of your face

You were looking really good

But somehow picture fade

Sighing, Kagome grabbed the picture frame off of the table and stared at it. It was a picture of Kurama and her together. They were on their first date at the festival, and he had won her a huge teddy bear. In the picture she was kissing a blushing Kurama on thie lips while hugging her prize.

She brushed her fingers longingly over the Kurama's face. His job took up so much of his time, that she barely got to see him. But when she did, she made all the time she had with him count.

We're on the phone

We're all alone

And that just ain't good enough

I go around the world

To see your face

`cause this just ain't good enough

He would call her when he would leave Tokyo and they would talk for hours. It was comforting to hear his voice, but wasn't as good as actually seeing him face to face. Once she had actually paid a surprise visit to him while he was in Sapporo; the look on his face was priceless. That night their bond grew even stronger.

So I'm just kicking it I'm counting the days

I hardly can wait for us to hang out

I'm really missing it in so many ways

I anticipate us making out

Kurama would always be gone for up to 2 weeks. She would put an `x' over the lost days. Every time she looked at the calendar, it seemed like he was going to be away longer. How she wished she could control time.

On the weekends they would just walk around down town, go window shopping, going out to eat, just simple little things. But those little things made her the happiest girl in the world.

One of her fondest memories is of her and Kurama cuddled on the couch, watching some horror movie. Every time she would get scared, she would bury her face in his chest, clutching onto him for dear life.

Chuckling, he would pat her back and kiss her on the forehead then her lips, which eventually led to other things making his eyes change from the beautiful green to the mischievous golden color.

Sip my morning tea

But you're not next to me

Here goes another day

All the time she had been with him, he had always been drinking tea, so now he had her hooked on it. Every morning, she would sip her tea and stare out the window, wondering where her beloved kitsune was at the moment. Too many things reminded her of him.

And driving in my car

I wonder how you are

While our favorite music plays

Turning on the radio, she smiled sadly when she heard their song. After their first huge argument, Kagome stormed out of the apartment and walked around the town. Of course, she ended up in the park.

It was late and only the thugs were hanging out, and just her luck, they had spotted her. Not wanting to use her powers on them, she tried hand to hand combat, which wasn't one of her strengths. She got scared when they had finally pinned her down to the ground, and pulled out a knife.

In the end Kurama came and saved her. He hugged her tightly as if she was the most precious thing in the world to him, and maybe she was. At that time, they heard the faint sound of music playing.

Smiling, they both danced in the park in sheer bliss, completely forgetting about the previous fight. And that's how that song became their song.

The flowers arrive to my surprise

But that just ain't good enough

And I got the note, it gave me hope

But that just ain't good enough

Whenever he had to cancel a date or was going to be gone for a long period of time, Kurama would always send a bouquet of roses to her. She loved red roses as much as he did, but she loved them because they smelt like him. What was funny was how he was just as beautiful as a rose too.

He would always send a card along with the roses with a sweet note attached to it. Kagome had kept all the cards in a small box inside her drawer, reading them every time she missed him (which was constantly).

So I'm just kicking it I'm counting the days

I hardly can wait for us to hang out

I'm really missing it in so many ways

I anticipate us making out

Touching her lips, she remembered all the soft kisses he would give her. She didn't actually get to kiss him till their 3rd date. Chucking softly, she shook her head. It was just like Kurama to be such a gentlemen.

Soon you'll be here with me

Soon you'll be right here with me

Every time he would leave, she would just remind herself that he would have to come home someday, and then he would be hers once again.

I'm with my friends till the night ends

But that just ain't good enough

And honestly you can trust me

And that just ain't good enough

When she was feeling down, her friends would always drag her out. Their `girls night' consisted of going to clubs, partying, and drinking. Of course Kagome never got too carried away, seeing as she was taken.

But when she came back, sometimes Kurama would be there and sniff her. He would get a little jealous that she would touch another male, much less dance with them, but deep down, both knew that they could trust each other no matter what.

So I'm just kicking it I'm counting the days

I hardly can wait for us to hang out

I'm really missing it in so many ways

I anticipate us making out

Getting back from work, Kagome dropped her back like it was made of lead. She lazily took off her heals and set them down by the door. Sighing, she took off her coat and laid it across a chair.

Once again, it was going to be a lonely night of eating ice cream in front of the TV. while watching chick flicks and worrying over her lover.

Entering her bedroom, she was met with firm arms embracing her and soft lips on her neck. "Welcome home mate." A smooth voice said seductively.

Turning around she came face to face with Kurama and tugged on his fiery locks. "It's been way too long…" Their lips met and stirred the passion in both of them.

Kurama lightly threw Kagome on the bed and immediately kneeled over her, his hair surrounding them in a curtain of vermilion. He touched her face lightly as their lips met once again, and stayed in a lip lock. His tongue played around with hers in an all out fight for dominance.

Kagome sighed happily inside her head, as she felt his hands roam her body. She just loved times like this… just making out with her kitsune.

Hmn. It started out good, but I couldn't end it really well… gomen! I hope you enjoyed it! Alas, that was my try at a kag/kur pairing! Ja ne~!
