A Dark night, clouds covered the light of the half moon,

The shadow could easily slip unnoticed through the gloom,

moving from building to building, quickly working its way toward the castle.

The figure paused at the base of the castle,

"Let's do this, Hale," he muttered taking a sack out of his dark cloak,

Something squirmed inside the bag as he drew out a long length of rope and tied it to the end

of the sack. He picked it up, tested the weight, then threw it and watched it sail through the cold night air.

The sack hit the rim of the castle wall with a thunkand started glowing an odd shade of blue.

The figure watched from below as the sack began to freeze, the fibers in

the sack beginning to expand.

There was a loud popand the figure below moved to the side to avoid the shower of ice crystals.

He tested the rope to make sure it was firmly tied up above, he began to climb up the rope.

About halfway up the rope he heard the sounds of a struggle up above.

Hurrying up the remaining length of rope he

saw two castle guards with there feet frozen to the ground,

"What the---" they began

A swift slice with his katana was enough.

He re-sheathed his sword.

"Nice job."

The ice imp purred, grateful for the compliment.

They continued along the wall, cautious, should any more guards still be

patrolling.

"Here it is, the royal treasury,"

The lock was bigger then he had expected, he hoped Hale could still break it.

Hale began focusing her energy inside the lock.

nothing happened.

"Try harder...." muttered the figure, beads of sweat starting to form on his brow. If she

couldn't do it he have to risk being caught

Frost began to form on the lock as it slowly began to freeze,

No, not freeze, cool,he thought.

Suddenly there was a loud explosion followed by a rush of ice-cold air.

On the ground lay the lock, perfectly intact, amidst the ruins or the

Shattered door.

The man, who's name was Hiei, was surprised with his companions power,

He would set aside time to ponder this later, first he had to find the crown?

There! In the center of the room, on top of a pedistile sat an amazing crown,

with three magnificent jewels strung together like a necklace,

The crown of Arieona.

It was magnificent, but Hiei wasn't interested in it,

He needed the jewels.

It would take to long to separate the jewels so he decided

to do that later. He grabbed the crown and spun to leave but stopped dead

in his tracks, there in the doorway stood a shadowy figure, blocking his

Escape.

I've been waiting for you.

With that, the figure summoned a ball of pure dark power,

and hurled it at Hiei.
