Hiei ran into the dark night sky. This girl passed out shortly after I picked her up. Hiei laid her upon the ground and stared at her. Hiei reached down and lifted her eye lid. Huh!?! This girl she has the devil's mark in her eye. Who is this girl?

 

 

 

 

 

Huh!?! Oww!!! God my head hurts. Huh!?! It's, it's, it's you. Brooke said scooting back.

 

Hiei stood up walking towards Brooke. Who are you? He said. Your not Yuske's sister are you?

 

Um I, I, I don't really know. Brooke said biting her lip. I'm not sure where I came from but, all I know is that what I was told is that Yuske is my brother and he seems to recognize it., and even my mom. I think. Brooke said looking up at Hiei.

 

Hiei stared down at her for awhile before saying anything. You don't know who you are exactly? Hiei asked.

 

No I don't. I know it seems like a sad excuse but it's all I have. I got expelled from my other school cause my principle thought I pushed this girl out of the window, and so all I had left to turn to was my mom and Yuske. Brooke said staring at the ground.

 

“Hn” such a pathetic story. Hiei said turning away.

 

What!?! Brooke said staring at Hiei. What's your name? You never told me. Brooke said staring at Hiei.

 

“Hn”

 

Ugh he's really gonna be that way isn't he? I'm sitting here alone in the dark with a complete stranger. Well I'm leaving I'm not just gonna stay here you. Brooke said getting up and walking off.

 

It's Hiei. Hiei said walking towards the window sill.

 

It suits you. Brooke said walking towards him. Look I can't really explain what happened earlier. Things just happen when I get mad. That's all I can really say.

 

 

 

 

 

~Urameshi's House~

 

 

Yuske what exactly happened? Koenma said.

 

I don't really know, she got mad and when she yelled a large amount of energy pushed me out of her room. Yuske said running.

 

Then it's true. Koenma said.

 

What's true? Yuske said.

 

The prophecy about a young maiden. It say's that she will come back to this town and kill every single human, and will rip this town apart piece by piece. Koenma said. Yuske your sister is the key. That's why we need to find her before she kills anyone. Konema said looking at Yuske.

 

She's gonna kill us all if I don't stop her. Yuske thought to himself.

 

“Kurama” Yuske called out seeing him sitting on the porch of his house. Kurama where's Brooke? Yuske asked looking around.

 

She's gone kurama replied, Along with Hiei. There's no sight of either one of them. Kurama said looking up at Yuske.

 

We have to find them and now. Yuske yelled. She couldn't have gotten far. Yuske thought to himself. Where would a sixteen year old girl go? Yuske said aloud.

 

With a boy too! Kurama put in.

 

What! Yuske yelled.

 

Yuske I said she's probably with Hiei! Kurama said.

 

My God! Yuske said putting his hand on his head.

 

 

 

 

 

 

~in the old broke up house~

 

He looks so confident of himself. He doesn't even look scared. Brooke thought to herself.

 

I don't get scared. Hiei said.

 

What???? Brooke said looking surprised. Can he read my mind?

 

Hiei got up and walked towards the door.

 

“Hey” wait a minute! Where are you going? Your not gonna leave me here in the dark? Brooke asked all at once.

 

Hiei turned and looked at her sitting on the ground. This girl acts as if she just lost her whole world. . Do you want me to stay here? Hiei said looking outside.

 

Um, well would you please? Brooke said looking at him.

 

Hiei turned to look at her. This mortal is like no other I've encountered. She's so……

 

Brooke got up and walked over to Hiei and took up his hand and said

 

My names Brooklyn! She said

 

Hiei stared at her wide eyed. This girl what is she doing?

 

Hiei you look scared. Brooke said am I worrying you?

 

Hiei stared at the mark in her eye.

 

Hiei will you come over and -

 

Brooke passed out. Hiei caught Brooklyn in his arms. What- what happened?Hiei asked himself.

 

Hiei took his eyes off of Brooklyn. Hiei looked up at the door and saw Yuske running towards Brooke. Kurama standing in the door way by Koenma. Hiei watched Yuske pick Brooke up and run out of the door with her. Hiei stared at Kurama and Koenma walked ran out the door after Yuske. Hiei stood up and walked out the door.

 

~Yuske and Brooklyn's Home~

 

 

O my head hurts. Brooke sat up rubbing her head. Huh!?!

 

Brooke awoke to seeing three guys staring at her.

 

 

“Ugh”

 

 

Excuse me ms. I'd like to ask you a few questions if you don't mind. Koenma said looking down at Brooklyn. Where's the Sacred Jewel?

 

With its keeper I guess. Brooke said biting her lip.

 

YOUR TELLING ME WITH ALL THAT POWER YOU HAVE YOU HONESTLY DON'T KNOW!!!! Yuske yelled.

 

STOP YELLING AT ME! Brooke shouted pushing Yuske and Kurama out of her way to get down stairs. God Yuske why do you keep on I don't know anything I told you. Brooke said.

 

Ms. Brooke then tell me why do you have miko powers? You have very strong amount of spiritual power. Kurama said walking over to Brooke.

 

What powers? Brooke said.

 

You can't control them either. Kurama said

 

I don't know what you're talking about. Brooke said walking out the door.

 

I can't let you leave Brooke. Said Yuske said stepping in front of Brooke. Brooke turned around and looked at Kurama.

 

Kurama your wrong about one thing, “I can control my powers”

 

Kurama stared at her wide eyed in surprise.

 

Koenma came running down the stairs. “Yuske get out of her way”

 

HUH!?!

 

Brooke turned around and stared at Yuske.

 

Yuske get out of my way or I will make you move.

 

Brooke “NO” Yuske shouted

 

Brooke grew angry with Yuske.

 

“Fine”

Brooke pushed Yuske out of her way. Yuske went flying into old shrine. Brooke stared out athim and walked off.

 

My god he'll have to kill her with his own hands. Koenma said

 

What! Kurama said staring at Koenma.

 

She'll grow stronger by the minute now. Koenma said.

 

~Graveyard~

 

Dad I need you now more then ever. I'm not strong enough without you. I came back home as you asked before you left me. I found Yuske, but he's different he's not the child I once knew. Dad I'm doing this weird stuff I can and cant control sometimes. Like when I get mad, the person I'm mad at get the worse end of the deal. Dad I really need a place to call home. There's -

 

After all your only human. A voice called out behind Brooke.

 

Huh!?!

It's- it's - it's you, from earlier. Brooke said in surprise. I didn't think I would see you again

Hiei come with me I want to show you something. Hiei looked up at her and saw her leaving, he followed behind.

 

~Higarashi Shrine~

 

 

 

Hiei watched. Brooke called back. She held her hands over the well and closed her eyes and the well started glowing. Hiei stared wide eyed.

 

She's a miko. Hiei said to himself.

 

Hey Hiei C'mon I have friends waiting for me. Brooke called up from the well and jumped in Hiei following after.

Hey Brooke, how did you get here exactly? Kagome questioned.

Kagome and Brooke went on a looooooooooooong walk. Together into the forest of Inuyasha.

 

 

So Brooke your running away from your brother? Kagome asked.

 

“So Brooke your running away from your brother? Kagome asked.

 

“Yes”

 

Let's drop the subject. Brooke said looking around. Hey where's Hiei? Brooke said. He was just here. Kagome have you seen a shot black haired kid? Brooke asked.

 

Umm, no I don't recall seeing anyone. Kagome answered. Okay then. Well I'll go looking for him. Brooke said.

 

“Brooke” come Brooke you shouldn't do that. Kagome called.

 

“Don't worry I can handle myself” Brooke called back running off. Where is that short fool? Brooke asked herself. Brooke stopped and saw a Grave stone marked: HERE LIES THE GREAT RUNKASIA. What is this a demon burial? Brooke stared for awhile. I feel like his is where I'm supposed to before the first time I feel like I'm home. What is this and who is runkasia?

 

He was a demon. A voice said behind her.

 

Huh!?! Brooke turned around to see Hiei looking at her.

 

Well I think I know that he was a demon. Brooke said sarcastically.

 

Your sent is all around this burial site. Hiei said looking around.

 

My scent? Brooke said confused. How do you know what I smell like?

 

I'm a demon. He said. I thought you would have figured that out by now. Hiei said. She honestly didn't know I was a demon. This girl acts so innocent.

 

So why did you come with me Hiei? Brooke asked sitting on the ground looking up at him.

 

“Hn”

 

Damn you don't have to act like that. She said getting up and walking past him rubbing up against him. Hiei turned around and grabbed her by her arm and pushed her up against a tree.

 

“Ugh” Hiei what are you doing? Why are you looking at me like that? Hiei? Are you even listening to me? Hiei?

 

This girl…. Hiei thought to himself a girl he had known no longer then a month; he felt he had fallen in love with through such short time.

 

Hiei? Brooke said one last time. Brooke stared at him for a while, he looks like he's gonna do something. Brooke leaned in towards him and kissed him. To her his lips felt so warm as if she had found home. Hiei kissed her back. Hiei grabbed her shoulders and pulled her into him. They separated for while to breathe and Brooke made her way to the ground pulling Hiei down onto her. Hiei could here Brooke breathing hard, while he was sliding his hand down her body from her neck.

 

Naraku was watching from a distance staring at the human and the demon. Look at that poor girl. Giving herself up to that demon. She's such a fool. How is it a demon can fall in love with a human?

 

 

Hiei looked up from Brooke who was lying on the ground half asleep. Hiei looked back down to her to find her asleep. Naraku disappeared into the darkness.

 

 

~Next Morning`

Brooke awoke with a black robe on top of her body. She looked around for Hiei. So he makes out with me and then takes off on me. O that's such a boy thing to do. Did I say that right? O well. Brooke started getting dressed and walked off into the forest to find her way back to the village with Kagome and the others. Brooke looked around listening silently she heard a voice. And out pops a figure from the bush in front of her.

 

 

Huh!?!

 

Hello girl. Said Naraku, I'm Naraku. I'm here to help you, and ask you of a favor. I wanted to know if you could help me take care of a certain demon. His name is Inuyasha. The half dog demon. Brooke stood in front of Naraku. I can't move. He's holding me here, I can't feel my legs. Brooke looked up in horror at him. Young maiden don't be scared I won't kill you, unless you defy me. He said looking down at her. So, young woman will you do as I ask? If you choose to defy me woman I will kill that half-wit you fancy so much. Brooke listened in horror.

 

 

“NARAKU”

 

“WINDSCAR” Inuyasha yelled slashing through trees.

 

Until next time woman, Naraku said disappearing from sight.

 

“Brooke” Kagome called out running up to her. Are you alright? Kagome asked

 

Brooke fell to the ground hitting her knees on the ground. She looked up at Kagome.

 

Kagome I'm fine don't worry about me. I need to go for a walk. I need time to think about something. Brooke said walking off into the forest.

 

Who was that? Inuyasha asked.

 

She's a friend from school. She has a reason for being here so don't ask please. Kagome said watching Brooke disappear into the forest.

 

How could this happen to me? How could I let myself slip to him? O I shouldn't have done any of this to myself. How could I be so stupid?

 

Huh!?!

O it's you. Hi, Hiei. So I had a question what do you exactly want to call what happened last night? Was it a one night stand, or are we sorta a thing? Brooke asked.

 

 

It doesn't matter, call it what you want. Hiei said walking past her. Brooke got angry and pulled him back by his arm and fell to the ground and he fell on top of her. Brooke started laughing. What are you laughing at? Hiei asked sitting up and looking down at Brooke. Brooke started crying, she's crying! Why's she crying? Hiei thought to himself. Why are you crying? Hiei asked?

 

I don't really know. She said still crying, lying on the ground looking up at him. I met some demon named Naraku who said if I didn't help him kill some half demon Inuyasha he would kill those who I loved most. Brooke said crying.

 

This girl…..loves…loves me?
