“Brooke” Yuske said looking down at her. Yuske the girl is passed out. Hiei said. Sitting over on the window sill.

“Yes”, we should let her rest.. Kurama replied. Yea I guess your right. Yuske said as everyone walked out of the room except Hiei.

 

This girl carries so much spiritual energy within her body. How is it she can carry so much and barely know it, Hiei thought to himself.

 

~Downstairs~

 

“Yuske” Kurama called. What is it? Yuske called back.

 

Yuske there are some men down here who wish to speak with you. Kurama said. Alright, Alright……. Who is it? What the- who the hell are you. Yuske stared at the two men in the black hoods. Mr. Urameshi we don't have much time to tell you this, for evil is seeking our lives. The men said. So…? Yuske said rolling his eyes. It's about a girl you call your sister. The men said. She's…she's the key. You must protect her.

 

What the hell do you mean “the key”? Yuske said clenching his fists. You must protect for when the evil gets her they can do horrible things to her and with her. For they will kill her, and open the hell mouth. They will destroy every living thing and bring the demons fourth. The can do great things with her and you all must stop them before they do.

 

Yuske stared in disbelief. But before anymore could be said two arrows shot through the window and hit both men burning them in their places and they disappeared. Well someone didn't want us to know that! Kurama said.

 

~upstairs~

 

This girl has demon blood running through her veins, but she's human too. Hiei thought to himself.

 

Ugh! God my head hurts. Brooke said sitting up and putting her hands on her face. Ugh… I feel like I'm gonna throw up. Can this day get any worse. Brooke said lying back down. Onna… It just got worse. Brooke said aloud. Now I'm hearing things. Yep it's official I'm going crazy. Stupid girl.

 

Hey I recognize that voice. Brooke said in her head. Hey Hiei is that you?

 

You've got it.

 

Where are you at? I didn't know you were a telepath.

 

Behind you.

 

Brooke turned around to see Hiei standing on her bed frame. “HEY” Get off of my frame, you'll break it. Brooke said pouncing forward trying to ouch Hiei off of her bed, but went forward to much and fell off of the bed.

 

“Ouch” Brooke called from below. Hiei couldn't help but forge a smile. What are you looking at. Brooke said in an angry tone. Brooke got up and tripped over a roller blade and landed in Hiei's arms. Brooke looked up into the dark brown cold looking eyes. God is there no mercy in you? Brooke asked. Hiei dropped Brooke onto the ground. Geez, I was just asking.

 

“Hn”

Is that all you say? Brooke asked.

“Hn”

I'll take that as a yes! So….Are you gay?

Well Mr. bad guy so are you leaving soon?

Fine I'll be on my way.

He's really leaving. I can't believe him. Gosh I didn't even mean it.

 

I can hear you, you know. Hiei said telepathically.

Well then you should know I really want you to stay the night with me and be with me.

Hiei turned to look at Brooke and gave her a look of disgust. Well I didn't know you felt that way about me./ Brooke said getting up and climbing into bed. Well you can leave when your done being bored of me.

I never said I was bored. Hiei said.

Well that's kinda hard to believe with all of the “Hns” coming out of your mouth.

Hiei walked over to the window. Wait- Brooke called. Hiei turned around. What? He said. Hiei please stay the night with me. She said in a soft innocent voice. Hiei turned to her and said yes. When Hiei told her goodnight he realized she was already sleeping.

 

~Next Morning~

 

(Yawning) Brooke stretched her arms out and didn't realize Hiei was still there and she hit him in the head. This is the first time you've stayed and not left me in the blue. She said as she turned over to greet him. He just stared at her. You know your eyes are so hypnotizing. She said with a smile. Hiei smiled back and closed his eyes and went in and kissed Brooke on the lips. So Hiei what is this to you? She asked. What is it to us? Are we a couple? She asked sitting up. Call it what you want. They both heard noises coming upstairs. It's Yuske! Brooke said. Hiei ran and jumped out of the window.

 

Brooks! What do you want yuske I'm trying to sleep. Brooke said getting and attitude. Well get dressed. Yuske said. Were leaving. I'm taking you to see old lady Genkai. Who? Brooke said. Just get dressed. Well you can just STAY! She shouted. Yuske went down to the ground. Yuske jumped up and started arguing with Brooke. If you would just shut your mouth for once and keep your mouth shut and get dressed. Yuske shouted and barged out of the room. Well he sure is in a bad mood. Brooke said getting dressed. Brooke pulled out a pair of old black slacks and a black loose T-shirt and put on her black converse.

 

 

 

 

 

~Genkai's Temple~

Welcome back Pipsqueak. Genkai said looking at Yuske. So I guess your getting a little rusty so you've come back to see me. She said smirking. Well where's your sister? Genkai asked. Right here. Yuske said pointing at Brooke. Well she's the skinny little pain in the ass I've heard so much about. Genkai said. “Hey where the hell do you get the right to call me a pain, you don't even know me, and who the hell are you?” Brookes shouted. Well I would be you're very pissed off master, but there isn't anything I can teach you. Genkai said. So I'm leaving your trining up to Hiei.

 

O damn. I'm so screwed. Brooke thought to herself. And where the hell is he.

 

I'm right behind you. Hiei said.

 

Damn it. What have I done wrong to deserve such a bad punishment?

Fine. Well I'm leaving. Brooke said walking off. Where the hell do you think your going? Yuske shouted. Umm let me think…… I KNOW. I'm going to STAY out for a walk. Sound good to you. She asked. Why you- Yuske started but was interrupted by Genkai.

 

Girl, Hiei is waiting in the forest somewhere you need to find him and begin your training.

 

“Fine” Brooke said. How the hell am I supposed to find him? She asked. You tell me. Genkai said. Good luck Kurama said. I'm going to need a lot more luck to get through this night. Brooke said walking off into the forest.

 

~Deep in the Forest~

 

Ugh! Where am I? O this ant getting any worse. My clothes are torn, my hair is wet and sticky sorta, and O now I'm bleeding. Lovely now I have a new collection of cuts and bruises. She said.

 

I thought you would never make it here. Hiei said. Brooke looked up at him. What kind of joke is this? I don't need training. I'm a normal sixteen year old girl who just wants to go shopping and hang out with friends and flirt with boys. She said looking down. If I can put Yuske in check I don't think I need training. Brooke looked up, and saw Hiei take out a pair of daggers and drop them down on her. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Brooke screamed and leaned down and put her hands over her head and closed her eyes. Brooke got up when she heard each dagger land on each side of her. She picked the one on her left up and aimed it at Hiei and threw it as hard as she could and it hit the tree right by Hiei's head.

 

“Hn” you have bad aim.

Huh!?! Damn it Hiei! That's all this is about is training. Isn't it? Well, fine then I give up She said.

 

 

 

 

Hiei jumped down and pushed Brooke back. Ugh! She said. And she jumped forward and pushed Hiei to the ground, they both started wrestling, Brooke got in a few punches, before Hiei pinned her to the ground. Brooke finally got her feet up on Hiei's chest and kicked him off of her. Ge- Get Off! Brooke yelled. And a bright light pushed Hiei back.

 

~Later that night~

 

You fight dirty. Brooke said. She was cleaning herself in the river. “Hn” god Hiei give up there has t a soft side in you somewhere. Brooke got dressed and came and sat in front of Hiei. Brooke stared at Hiei and the cut the silence with a question. Brooke laid down on her stomach and looked up at Hiei and asked: What's it like? Hiei looked down at her. I mean to be a demon or just cold. She said smiling. You don't laugh much, do you? She asked. “Hn” Hiei turned away toward the moon. Brooke walked over and sat by Hiei. It's beautiful isn't it? She asked. “Hn” Hiei, Brooke looked over at him and he turned to look at her. “Hiei I- I, well what I'm trying to say is, umm… I - I want to be with you. Hiei looked at her and smiled. I really like you. She said. Hiei reached over and whispered in her ear, I love you. She looked up at him, and Hiei Kissed her on her Forehead.
