Sticks and Stones Love: Chapter 3

(The next day)

The Girls POV-

Life Sucks. I hate Koenma, yet now im working for him again. I hate mornings yet I'm up. I hate people, yet I'm stuck with working with them again. The only good thing is I
live alone. My parents just up and left last year. No one seems to care so I stay here paying bills out of their accounts, which I got when I was ten to go out and buy the
stuff I wanted. Its not much diffrent then normal my parents were never home before anyways. One was a doctor the other a phyciratrist. I dont think in my entire life my
parents have had a clue how old I am, what I like, what I hate, anything. That was just fine with me. I hated them they hate me all is well and good. People well they just suck.
Kids at school thought I was weird and left me alone. When they did talk to me it was just to insult me. I have had one friend my entire life. Jessica, we did everything together.
We hated the world together, we stole together, we beat people up together. That kind of thing. She ended up moving in on her 16th birthday. Her parents were drunk all the time.
They are dead now. They died in an "Accidental" house fire. Actually that might be true, we never did it. Most likly it was her brother. Off in college or in a girls bedroom one or
the other. Jessica were is she now you ask. Well she's dead. 6 months ago to the day, today.

Ya well I'm up in Koenma's office. He's going on and on about this and that on "our" new assingment. All I heard was some thing about power and a jewel or somthing. That
reminded me of somthing. I got off my rump and started to walk around the room. I pulled out a necklace with a blue jewel on it. Blue has always been mine and was Jessica's
favorite color. We found this thiing on one of our first assingments and Koenma let us keep it. The demon we fought broke it in half, so I took one and she took one. When
she died I took her peice and it just melded together. There is a black stripe in it that was never there before but its most liikly just because of when it came together.
Whats weird is when Koenma did some reaserch on it, he found out its called the Stone of Death. Weird name but hey, its cute.

"Hey what is your name anyways. The paper Koenma gave us had ketchup all over it and we couldent read any of the paper." Kurama asked as I walked by him.

"JADE! PAY ATTENTION!" Koenma yelled at me.

"Shut up you jack ass!" I sent a glare his way and he just looked sadly back at me.

"Well go ahead, the faster you get done the faster you can leave." He said looking straight at me. I flipped him off as I got teleported back to Tokyo.

"Where are we going?" I ask Kwabara shoved the piece of paper in my face. 'Higurashi Shrine' I think. "Oh well come on I had to walk past their place to school all the time." With that
I took off at a jog, I watched as Hiei jumped into the tree's and took off. 'Well looks like he knows were he's going'. After about 10 minuets we got to the shrine. Well the bottom of
the steps anyways. Kwabara and Yusuke's jaws dropped. Kurama looked impressed and Hiei was at the top. I took off jumping 3 at a time all the way up. Kurama walked and seemed
to be counting the steps Botan walked with him looking at the sceanery, while the other two dragged themselves up the stairs. I glared at Hiei when I got to the top of the stairs and
he glared right back at me. Like I said I hate people, and people does include demons in the catigory. I cant believe he's haveing me work with two demons! I mean Kurama dosent
seem all that bad but alot of the worst dont seem bad.

I walked up to the gate and just walked right through. The house seemed to be empty except for a girl with a huge backpack walking towards a little shrine. She turned towards us as we
came through the gate.

"Jade... is that you? OH MY GOD! JADE!!" She dropped her bag and came running at me at full speed. She hit me hard grabbing me and giving me a huge hug. "I havent seen you
in forever! Its been ages."

Ok I guess I lied then, I have two friends.

"Umm. Ya ages Kagome." I said starting to return her hug.

"Whats this?" She asked pulling up my necklace. "Wow" She mouthed, she tried to touch the jewel but pulled back as if it burned her. "Wait" she said and looked at it again, then looked up at
me. "No.. what happened?"

"She died, 6 months ago, no biggy." She looked like she was going to say more but there was a ruckus from the shrine. We all looked over.

"Shit!" Kagome said and rubbed her temples. "I'll be right back..." But just then the door slid open and a man with silver hair and dog ears came out of the shed.

"Well now thats a nice trick." I heard Hiei mutter.

'Well well, another little demon boy!' The man with silver hair pulled out his sword and faced us.

"Get away from her demons!" He growled.

I just got my muse back, sorry about the last two chapters the rest should be better. More reviews please, flames are welcomed i guess.
