If you are checking the update, all I did was change the spacing to make it easier to read, all of the updates are just spacing changes, and the storyline did not change at all. I did just put op a new chapter though, that ones new!!!

 

Hay, I'm sorry it took so long to update. I had a lot of school work to catch up on and my cat spilled milk all over my keyboard, I had to get my keyboard fixed. Unexpected Turn

 

***In The Cave***

 

The demon slayers faced the group of fighters they were about to fight.

 

“I don't understand, there is no way they could have gotten out!” One of the slayers said.

 

“I don't care how they got out, lets get them back in.” Another one said.

 

“Heh, yeah right, you would need a bigger army then that.” Said a cocky InuYasha who was just glad to have Tetsusaiga back.

 

“InuYasha please don't kill them, there just human's.” Kagome begged.

 

“Feh, whatever wench…Yo slayer people let us through and we might kill you slowly,” InuYasha commanded.

 

Kurama as he scanned the fighters. All wore a similar outfit to Sango but all of their outfits were just black and gray, no pink.

 

Sango looked at the slayers, she couldn't believe it the legends were true, there was another demon slayer tribe.

 

“Wait how did humans get in here?” One slayer said as he looked over the travelers.

 

“Humans if you want to stay safe please get away from the demons.” Another one said, the group just laughed.

 

“Its us human you got to worry about, we will do more damage then the demons.” A happy to be freed Yusuke said earning him a few growls from the demons of his team.

 

“You have been warned.” One of the slayers said that they lunged at the gang.

 

Shippo laughed at the group of fighters. “You are just humans we don't have to worry about you.” Shippo was cut short when a knife whizzed past him. “That's it, your in a lot of trouble misters; Kagome hit them!” Shippo tattled on the bad guys.

 

No one was paying attention to Shippo; they were in the middle of a fight.

 

There were 12 demon slayers, all very strong looking. One took out a curved sword and sliced at Miroku, he barely dodged it but then another one came behind with throwing stars and the throwing stars pined Miroku to the wall, no they didn't just pin his cloths, some nipped his hands. Miroku yelled out a screech of pain when one went into his leg.

 

“Leave him alone.” Kuwabara said as he attacked one who easily dodged it.

 

Hiei attacked one that had the throwing stars, Hiei got a star in his arm but he just ignored it. Hiei held up his sword to kill the throwing star slayer when Kurama interrupted.

 

“Hiei don't kill him.” Kurama was shocked when Hiei just growled and picked up his sword and just knocked the slayer out.

 

Kurama thought about this, `What? Why would Hiei not kill him? Something is defiantly wrong with Hiei, I will explore it further.' Kurama then put his full attention back to the fight. As a slayer with swords attached to his hands attacked Kurama.

 

Kurama dodged but to his surprise he underestimated the slayers speed and got a slice across the chest it wasn't too deep but still hurt.

 

Kurama just looked at his chest and calmly proceeded to attack and within two minuets knocked his opponent out.

 

The slayers clearly didn't care if they killed anyone, human or demon as long as they won. Our group of travelers on the other hand didn't want to kill them, well some did.

InuYasha picked a fight with one of the slayers that had a spiked ball at the end of a chain. The fighter grabbed InuYasha's sword in the chain of his weapon and then pulled out a concealed sword from his leg. In an instant the concealed sword was stabbed into InuYasha's side, pulled out and slashed into both InuYasha's legs in one swipe. InuYasha quickly grabbed some of his blood and yelled “Blades of Blood” InuYasha had killed the first human, but his injuries were serious.

 

Yusuke was having a grand time, he was punching and kicking a slayer that had brass knuckles on their knuckles and toes so there punches and kicks really did a number on Yusuke. Yusuke got punched in the face, he spit out the blood and gave the guy one good kick to the stomach. “That should hold you.” Yusuke said but the slayer came up again to fight more. “D**n don't you people ever die?” Yusuke yelled as he got a punch hard in the stomach. Apparently that punch had a little kick to it so he had a little trouble breathing but turned around and punched the guy so hard he flew ten feet back into a wall, he didn't get up again.

 

Kuwabara was fighting a girl slayer and things weren't looking good.

 

“Urameshi I cant hit girls!!!” Kuwabara said as he tried to dodge attacks.

 

“Well you better learn to.” The girl said as she took out a giant spiked hammer.

The girl picked up the spiked hammer and sent it flying strait into Kuwabara's ribs, some were surly broken. Kuwabara responded by trying to get away. The girl followed him and sent her hammer into his head knocking him out.

 

“Wow what an idiot” Shippo laughed.

 

“That will show you to underestimate us.” Right as the girl said that Kagome's arrow flew down and stabbed her in the side. The girl turned around only to see Kagome's fist strait to her face. Kagome punched the girl three times and the girl was out. “Oh, I didn't mean to really hurt her.” Kagome said, as she looked really innocent at the girl.

 

“Wow Kagome I didn't know you could punch like that!” Kurama said with a smile.

 

“Neither did I” Kagome blinked, she then looked down at her hand.

 

“EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! I have blood on my hand, get it off, get it off get it off.” Kagome screamed.

 

`Okay, that's the Kagome I know.' Kurama chuckled with a smile on his face.

 

“KAGOME WATCH OUT”!” Sango yelled as her Hiraikotsu was sent flying out of her hand by another slayer and headed straight for Kagome, Kagome didn't react in time as the boomerang whizzed right towered her. Kurama reacted though. Kurama ran towered Kagome and tackled her down just in time for Kagome to miss the Hiraikotsu.

 

Kagome sight with relief, “Thank you.” Kagome said as she stared at the gorges Kurama on top of her. “Your Welcome.” Kurama whispered as they looked at each other and for one small moment they didn't even realize they were in the middle of a battle, they just looked at each other each one getting lost in the others eyes, they drew a little closer and then…

 

“MOVE IT.” InuYasha yelled as he tripped over them while fighting a slayer.

 

Kagome and Kurama quickly were snapped out of the moment and they got up.

 

“Well thank you again.” Kagome said with a blush as she ran over to help stop the slayers attacking InuYasha.

 

InuYasha had taken care of the two slayers that were chasing him. `Wow, that was a close one… wait no it wasn't. Kagome would of never kissed him. No Kagome would never she belongs to me and she has no feelings for the fox.' InuYasha glared at the two, `no no feelings at all.' InuYasha took out his Tetsusaiga and in frustration and jealousy he blasted apart a wall in the cave. But there was just another darker part of the cave behind the wall.

 

As all these fighters continued to fight the skilled slayers Shippo was the only one who seemed to see a poor monk still trapped to a wall?

 

“Don't worry Miroku, ill get you down.” Shippo said as he started to climb up Miroku to get out the throwing stars.

 

“Thank you Shippo, I owe you one.” Miroku said as the little kit pulled out a throwing star.

 

“Really, you owe me one, I want the next bag of chips you get from Kagome.” Shippo bargained as he stopped pulling out the stars.

 

“Shippo get me down” Miroku said annoyed.

 

“You have to promise to give me the chips!” Shippo smile.

 

“SHIPPO NOW!!!!” Miroku yelled. Shippo quickly took them all out; one was really deep in Miroku's wrist, on his left hand. (The one without the wind tunnel.)

 

“Miroku, that looks really deep, you should be careful.” A concerned Shippo said.

 

“Don't worry Shippo I will be fine.” Miroku had to struggle to keep the look of pain off his face.

 

“Good then you can give me the chips, right?” Shippo said.

 

“Go help someone else Shippo.” Miroku said rolling his eyes. `You think your own teammate could just help you once in a while.'

 

Sango was now fighting about two slayers who ganged up on her. Sango's Hiraikotsu was gone so she was only using her sword. The slayers had remarkable teamwork. Sango had forgotten that a lot of her training was in just working with other demon slayers, they obviously hadn't forgotten. They would attack her from both sides. No one really noticed because everyone was fighting with other slayers or trying to help their wounds. One of the slayers facing Sango had a long distance weapon, it was a knife attached to a chain, a lot like her brothers. The other had a close combat weapon, a knife on his elbow, knees, and fists, he had clearly mastered fighting with the knifes.

 

Sango fought the two but was struggling a little. She attacked one and sliced him in the stomach. In return he took his knife chain and sent it flying around her. For the second time in the last few days she was chained up and the knife went into her stomach again.

 

“D**n why does everyone target there?” Sango cursed as blood gushed from her stomach. Then the other enemy attacked her and sent most of his knifes into her, blood was everywhere, but she was still standing, yet chained.

 

“Hay what's up with the ganging up, non of your pals are doing it.” Sango said struggling for breath.

 

“You are one of the demon slayer tribe that shunned us, we have always held a deep hatred for your kind.” One of them responded as he took of his knifes of his hands and just hit her. “I want you to live for as long and in much pain as possible.” he said with an evil smile while hitting Sango. Sango never let out a scream; she just glared and took it.

Kirara saw her first but when she attacked the slayer with knifes on him turned around and stabbed Kirara and sent her flying towered a wall. He then returned to punching Sango.

 

Kagome like everyone else was fighting when one slayer came behind her and stabbed a knife deep into her leg, you could almost see the bone. InuYasha responded by slicing the slayer in half. “Are you okay, Kagome?” InuYasha asked with yes, concern in his voice.

“Yes it's just a scratOUCH.” Kagome fell to the floor in pain when she tried to stand. InuYasha was focused on her as was Kurama but she noticed someone else…Sango.

 

“SANGO!!!!” Yelled Kagome as she sat up and released an arrow and killed the punching slayer instantly and Kagome didn't even notice him because she was so mad.

Hiei then jumped down and sliced the one holding her chains in half, Sango fell to the ground but Hiei caught her…again.

 

All the slayers were dead or unconscious including Sango, so everyone gathered around Sango, well everyone that could, Kagome was helped over by Kurama.

 

“Sango…Sango…are you alright.” Kagome said looking with dread at the unconscious demon slayer (Sango).

 

“Is Sango okay?” Asked a panicked Miroku.

 

“What do you think?” Hiei glared coldly.

 

Everyone looked at her with worry until Hiei put his hand to her lips.

 

“She's breathing but I don't know how long she will stay that way.” Hiei said, he had not yet let go of Sango but no one seemed to notice.

 

“She looks in really bad shape, we need to get her to a doctor.” Yusuke said, urgency filling his voice.

 

“I agree her wounds are to bad to be treated by the medical technology in this era. Also Kagome is in no shape either, she should get to a hospital as well.” Kurama said assessing her wounds.

 

“Guys how are we going to get out?” Shippo said as a few tears came to his face. All the gang looked around and saw a bunch of doors, who knows where the doors lead.

 

“Ill just make an exit.” InuYasha said as he went to knock down a wall.

 

“Don't InuYasha, we don't know how sturdy these walls are, and knocking one down may cause the whole cave to collapse.” Kurama said as he studied the walls.

 

“Then we will have to find a way out…and I have an idea.” Kagome said. And she pointed at a slayer who was beginning to wake up.

 

InuYasha catching what she meant demanded; “How do we get out?”

 

“I would never tell you if my life depended on it.” The slayer said with a grin.

 

“Funny thing about that, your life does depend on it.” Yusuke said with a grin. As he cracked his knuckles and went towered the slayer.

 

“Okay, Okay, I will show you the way out if you let me go afterwards.” The slayer said loosing all courage.

 

“How can we trust him?” asked Miroku.

 

“We cant, but if he takes to long getting us out we will kill him.” InuYasha said as he walked over and put a put a sword to the guy's throat.

 

“Now show us the way out and tell us your name.” Kurama said in a deathly calm voice.

 

“M-My name is S-Soloc.” Soloc had lost all traces of bravery.

 

“Then get us out now Soloc.” Responded Yusuke, he hated being trapped and didn't want the slayer to die, he didn't know too much about her but from what he could tell she was an honorable fighter so she was okay in his book and Kagome was just a nice person.

 

“The way out is threw that door.” Soloc said pointing to another door.

 

“You aren't getting away that easy.” InuYasha said, “Your coming with us.”

 

“We need to get all the injured out.” Said Kurama looking at all the hurt members of their team after he put some plant bandages on Sango and Kagome.

 

“Simple we will need to carry them, ill get the stupid.” Said Yusuke as he picked up Kuwabara and began to carry hem.

 

“Ill help you Kagome.” Kurama said as he walked towered her.

 

“Oh no you don't fox!” yelled InuYasha. “I will take care of Kagome.”

 

“InuYasha that doesn't make sense look at you, your opponent sliced your legs, you can barely walk. Besides we need you to keep hold of the hostage.” Miroku said who also realized that it was time for Kagome to move on.

 

Everything Miroku said was true, InuYasha wasn't in good condition. He let the fox help her, but he wasn't happy about it, he kept on mumbling to himself and all anyone could pick up was “stupid…fox…. pervert…monk…Kagome…hate…. murder…die…” and muttered curses, most people ignored him.

 

“InuYasha Kagome told me never to use that word.” Shippo said.

 

InuYasha explained his point with a sharp punch to Shippo's head.

 

“Owe mommy he hurt me!” Shippo said.

 

“Sit, InuYasha.” Kagome said, to tell the truth she would much rather be helped by Kurama.

 

“I will help Sango.” Miroku said as he walked towered Sango and Hiei.

 

Miroku bent down to pick up Sango when his wrist gave a huge wave of pain. “Ouch!”

 

“Miroku you cant carry Sango with that wrist, you have to be careful.” Shippo said.

 

“I guess your right.” Miroku stood up and thought.

 

“Hiei you have to carry Sango.” Kurama said to the fire demon.

 

“What, why do I have to carry the filthy human.” Asked an annoyed Hiei.

 

“Because no one else is able to, Kirara, InuYasha, and Miroku are hurt, Shippo is too small, and Yusuke and I are taking care of Kagome and Kuwabara.” Kurama said. `And I know you want to Hiei, you can't hide it from me.' Kurama thought but would never say.

“I don't care if she dies, I hate her.” Hiei said simply.

 

“Hiei pick her up or the only way you will be coming out of this cave is if you're in my wind tunnel.” Miroku said clearly not messing around. Hiei thought for a minute.

 

“Hn.” Hiei picked up Sango and to the shock of most he did it gently, well gentle for Hiei.

 

“Be careful, she's not a bag of dirt.” Miroku said.

 

“Yes, she's lower then that.” Hiei said with a smile that made everyone except Kurama regret that he had to carry Sango. Kurama could tell that he was being very careful with the woman in his hands he just had to make it seem like he wasn't.

 

Hiei looked down at Sango and in her unconscious state she snuggled closer to him; he subconsciously tightened his grip as he glared at her.

 

Shippo went over to the hurt Kirara. Kirara had turned into a kitten and Shippo tried to pick her up. “Wow Kirara, your heavy” Shippo said as he tried to lift up the kitten almost his size.

 

“Here Shippo I can carry Kirara with my uninjured hand.” Said Miroku as he picked up Kirara.

 

“Okay just don't suck her up in your wind tunnel.” Shippo said. For a brief moment Miroku remembered when Kirara had tackled him and almost thought about doing it. He quickly wiped all thoughts of that out of his head and cared for the little two-tail.

 

The group then took Soloc to the door he said to go through.

 

Kagome started off trying to walk.

 

“Kagome do you want me to carry you?” asked Kurama.

 

“No, don't worry, just let me lean on you I can walk.” Kurama did but after the first step she cringed in pain.

 

“I'm sorry Kagome, but I must insist.” Kurama said as he picked her up in his arms cradle style.

 

Kagome was going to object but she just pouted and muttered about “silly foxes not letting her do anything on her own.”

 

Kurama chuckled `it seems that muttering about me is something people like to do around here, not that I mind her muttering.' Kurama thought as he held her tightly and she kept muttering about him.

 

The group of fighters went through different doors, and different hallways.

Hiei looked down at Sango, she was still breathing but was much paler; she hadn't woken up yet, Hiei growled “How much longer” He directed at Soloc.

 

“Only a few minuets.” Soloc said as he kept walking. InuYasha tightened his grip on Soloc to make sure he knew he better be telling the truth.

 

They walked down a long hall. When they came to the end Soloc said, “just to more doors and you guys are outside.” He said with a nervous stutter.

 

InuYasha pushed the door open, everyone felt a strange energy.

 

“Wait don't go in, Soloc, what is that energy?” asked Miroku.

 

“It is the energy we put around our hide out so no one can find it, it is a repelling energy.” Soloc replied.

 

No one trusted him, Hiei tried to read his mind but all he saw in his head was that was the truth. So they continued in.

 

As soon as everyone was in, the door closed and Soloc jumped out of InuYasha's hands and down the hall.

 

“Come back her you…” InuYasha ran after him but after a few steps ran strait into bars that were not their before.

 

“SH*T” cursed InuYasha, “where are we you little twerp.”

 

“You are in the big barrier, there is no way you can get out now.” Said Soloc.

 

“Well see about that!” InuYasha raised his Tetsusaiga and it turned red, he tried to break through the barrier but it didn't work.

 

“I told you, the closer you are to my master, the stronger the barrier, you cant escape. So goodbye.” Soloc said as he went through the door. They couldn't see anything past the door.

 

“Not again, how can we get out?” Kagome said trying to hold back tears of pain and worry.

 

The group tried tons of things but nothing worked, they were stuck.

 

They waited around for a few minuets and everyone was getting worried. Kagome was doing better but couldn't walk, Sango was as pale as a ghost, and it was a miracle she was still breathing. Hiei noticed this; in anger he got up, carefully set Sango down and began to unwrap the bandages on his arm.

 

“Hiei don't do it, you will be unconscious for hours if you try.” Kurama said trying to stop his friend.

 

“I don't care.” Hiei said as he finished unwrapping.

 

“Hiei what if the barrier repels the dragon, we will all be incinerated by it.” Kurama said.

Hiei thought for a second about it, then when he was about to throw caution the wind the door opened and Soloc came through.

 

“Let us out now Soloc.” Yusuke demanded.

 

Soloc just ignored him and looked at InuYasha. “Are you the son of The Great Dog Demon?” InuYasha glared at him. “Yeah, what's it to you.”

 

Soloc did a most unusual thing; he got on his knees and began begging. “Oh please lord InuYasha don't kill us!” The whole group was shocked at his outbreak.

 

“Fine, whatever just get us out of here!” InuYasha said in annoyance.

 

The barrier and the bars suddenly faded into nothing as an older man appeared behind Soloc.

 

“Hello Mighty jewel collectors, welcome.” The man said.

 

“Who the H*ll are you?” asked InuYasha.

 

The old man looked at all of them like if they weren't real.

 

“My name is Crece, I am the son of one of your fathers most faithful servants.” Crece replied and bowed. “I am sorry we captured you, we had those traps set to catch any spawn of Naraku that appeared, we surly didn't want to harm anyone who has made so many legends and has almost defeated Naraku.”

 

“Well that's great now get us out of this da*n cave.” Yusuke said, he didn't care who this guy was, three people on their team needed serious medical attention.

 

“Of course, please do accept this as a apology, we mistook you and held you prisoner.” He held out a pretty big jewel shard piece.

 

InuYasha took it without a thank you and glared at them, he wanted out.

 

“I should explain myself, I was a priest who could do minor magic, then I found this jewel shard, and with it I learned how to create teleporting traps and very strong barriers. I later found this group of slayers, Naraku had killed well over half their village and they needed help. I tried to help them and keep them safe now we have a village of 50 people down here, the ones you fought were are guardians. Well I wont keep you long, good luck, and I hope you kill Naraku…” With these final words said he made a glowing thing on the ground, “I'm sorry I don't know how to help your wounded friends but this will teleport you to a village that once protected the Shikon Jewel, again good luck.”

 

Normally InuYasha would never just listen to this guy but he was too worried for Kagome, he decided to be the firs to go so he stepped on it the glowing portal and disappeared. The rest of the group disappeared one by one. Hiei was the last, he was still holding Sango. “You better hope that she lives through this because if she doesn't, I will come back her and see to it that every last one of your heads is no longer connected to your bodies.” With that goodbye Hiei held Sango and jumped through the teleported away from the terrified slayers.

 

“Sir why did you let them go?” asked Soloc.

 

“I got what I wanted.” Crece replied as he held up a lock of red hair.

 

“What's that for sir?” asked Soloc.

 

“This hair, under the right circumstances and magic can make a very powerful demon, I believe you would know him by his common name, Yoko Kurama, and he will be under my control.”

 

 

***Kaede's Village***

 

When Hiei appeared with Sango the whole group was there, they were in Kaede village near the bone eaters well.

 

“Which way is that well?” yelled Yusuke who just wanted to go home, Kuwabara looked pretty bad too and he was sick of carrying him.

 

“This way” InuYasha said as he began to run towered the woods, Hiei passed by him in a second. Within a few moments Hiei was standing by the well. He jumped in but just landed on the bottom. “Hn, It looks like I have to wait for those fools to show up to get through.” He jumped out of the well; they were coming too slowly for him.

 

Hiei looked down at Sango, `she won't die!' Hiei didn't know why he was trying to convince himself this but he couldn't imagine what would happen if Sango would die, he just knew he would never let it happen. `Stupid human, your too weak.' Hiei was pulled out of his thoughts when the rest of the group showed up.

 

Kurama was carrying Kagome and Yusuke was dragging Kuwabara.

 

“Kagome, I don't know but your leg might be broken, we should take you to the hospital.” Kurama insisted

 

Kagome nodded her head and pulled out some jewel shards.

 

“Who is going?” she asked.

 

“I will stay here and watch the village and take care of Kirara. I don't really want to leave the poor girls of the village without someone to protect them.” Miroku said.

 

“Your such a pervert is anyone going.” Asked Kagome.

 

Miroku was really worried about Sango but he didn't trust the future, he didn't want to leave the place he knew, also they couldn't treat Kirara's wounds in the future, the vets would freak out. He owed it to Sango to take care of Kirara.

 

“I want to go, can I go mommy?” Shippo asked.

 

“Okay sweaty, come here.” Kagome handed Shippo a jewel shard.

 

“Me and Kuwabara are going and there is no way on earth you can stop us.” Yusuke said.

 

“Fine, no need to get snappy.” Kagome said as she handed Yusuke a jewel shard.

 

“I'm taking the slayer.” Hiei said showing his reason he needed a jewel shard.

 

“Okay.” Kagome took out a shard and handed it to Hiei right when InuYasha objected.

 

“Hay wench we don't even know these guys, stop giving away MY jewel shards!”

InuYasha screamed.

 

“There not YOUR jewel shards InuYasha. I trust these people and I will do what I want with the shards.” Kagome said in a look that clearly showed she would sit him if he objected.

 

“Fine wench, if you trust them so much then just go and get yourself killed for all I care, I ain't coming after you! Yeah, that's right wench you can go and die and I wouldn't care, go kill yourself or something, the only thing you're good for is finding the shards and Kikyo could do that better then you.” InuYasha knew he was hurting Kagome but she hurt him too. Kagome was choosing the new people over him and he hated it, it was clear that he could never have Kagome, she had chosen someone else, the fact that they almost kissed proved it and it tore him apart.

 

Kagome just stared at nothing; her head was so far down you couldn't see her eyes.

 

“InuYasha, take that back. Kagome is…” Kurama started, he was angry at InuYasha's words.

 

“Stop Kurama, please just help me into the well.” Kagome's voice cracked, then a tear trickled down her face.

 

“Goodbye InuYasha.” Kagome said.

 

Kurama picked up Kagome and jumped into the well. Yusuke and Kuwabara, then Hiei carrying Sango followed him. Shippo was the last but he turned around.

 

“Why did you do that InuYasha?” Shippo was crying a little to when he jumped in after his mommy leaving an angry and depressed half-demon, there was one tear that trickled down his face, “Goodbye Kagome.” InuYasha whispered.

 

Okay, I 'm sorry I keep leaving cliffhangers but I have to keep you interested. PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! REVIEW, I NEED THE INSPIRATION.
