New Feelings, Old Identities.
***Kagome's Shrine. ***
Kurama jumped out of the well holding Kagome cradle style. Kagome was crying and shaking.
“Kagome, are you going to be okay?” Kurama looked at the shaking girl.
“Y-Yes I-I'm going to b-be f-fine.” Kagome was chocking down sobs. `Why would InuYasha say that, I cant believe it. I guess he really was the wrong guy after all. I shouldn't bother him anymore he can stay with Kikyo, its not like I care.' Kagome tried to convince herself she was all right but more pressing maters had to come first.
“Hn, where do I take the slayer?” Hiei asked who had clearly never been to a hospital before so he didn't know where it was.
“Oh, I'm sorry Hiei, Kurama lets go to the hospital.” Kagome said holding back sobs.
“Yes Kagome.” Kurama carried Kagome towered the hospital but his thoughts were consumed by what had just happened. `How dare he, InuYasha really hurt Kagome. He doesn't deserve her. Oh Kagome, I promise I will never let him hurt you again.' Kurama made this silent promise to the girl in his arms, Kagome seemed to understand what was unspoken and she put her arms around Kurama, crying all over his shirt.
“Don't worry Kagome it will be alright.” Kurama coxed the crying girl.
Shippo was on Yusuke's shoulders; they were following in the back with Kuwabara.
“So little fox dude, I've herd a lot about this Kikyo person, who is she?” Yusuke asked after watching Kagome and Kurama.
“Kikyo is InuYasha's lost love. Naraku made them betray each other but InuYasha still loves Kikyo. But I think that Kagome loves InuYasha so there is a love triangle. Kagome is Kikyo's incarnation.” Shippo finished.
“Wow sounds complicated.” Yusuke said.
“Yeah, really complicated” the little fox said. `InuYasha you meanie, ill get you for hurting mommy. I would help mommy right now but it look's like she is being helped. I wonder what's happening with Kurama and mommy? Oh well, I really like Kurama.' Shippo spaced out thinking about what it would be like to have a whole family again.
Hiei was really getting annoyed with the two, `why cant they go faster? At this rate we wont get there in time.' Hiei looked down at Sango, her breathing had just gotten labored.
“Hiei how's Sango?” Kagome said trying her hardest not to cry.
“We need to get there NOW if we want her to live. She is having trouble breathing.” Hiei responded.
“Kurama, can we please go faster?” Kagome asked.
“Yes, but hold on tight.” Kurama said as his speed increased drastically. `Finally' Hiei thought.
The group ran till they reached the hospital and Hiei was not going to wait in line. Hiei barged into the room up to the nurse at the counter.
“Help her now” Hiei said holding up Sango.
“Oh dear…well if you fill out some paperwork we will get a doctor to her shortly.” The nurse replied.
“No, you will get a doctor now or I will rip out your organs out threw your mouth.” Hiei replied glaring daggers at the nurse who dare tell him to wait.
Kurama came up at that time, luckily because the nurse was about to call security.
“I'm sorry about my friend, it has been a really long night and our friend could really use some medical attention as soon as possible.” Kurama reasoned.
The nurse liked this boy a lot better and she quickly sent for some doctors.
Within a few seconds about three doctors came with three stretchers.
“Could you please place them on these cots.” Asked the doctor.
Yusuke plopped Kuwabara down on the cot without a second thought and walked away. Kurama gently lowered Kagome down, “If you need me, I will be waiting here.” He told Kagome.
“Thank you.” Kagome answered.
Hiei was a little more reluctant. But he set Sango down on the cot anyway, and then he gave the doctors a glare that promised death should anything happen to her.
“Okay men, get them into the emergency room.” The head doctor said as the others took Kuwabara, Kagome, and Sango into another room. Hiei moved to follow.
“I'm sorry but you can't go with them.” The doctor said.
“Hn,” Hiei said as he glared at the doctor, Kurama watched Hiei's hand head for his Katana, Kurama quickly stopped Hiei.
“Come one Hiei lets wait.” Kurama said saving the poor doctors life.
“We will let you know when we know more.” The oblivious doctor said as he followed the other doctors.
Kurama, Hiei and Yusuke all sat down in the waiting room which was luckily for them empty, well except a few sleeping people.
Kurama looked around and realized something. “Shippo, where are you?” Kurama began to panic.
“Don't worry I'm here.” Shippo said as he emerged from under Yusuke's jacket.
“Yeah, I thought that people might freak out if they saw him so I told him to hide in here.” Said Yusuke as Shippo came out all the way.
Shippo went over to Kurama. “Kurama?”
“Yes little one.” Shippo always liked it when Kurama called him “little one” it made him feel special and no one else ever called him it, just Kurama.
“Is mommy and Sango going to be okay?” Shippo asked as he sat on Kurama's lap.
“Yes, don't worry everyone's going to be fine.”
“Good,” Shippo yawned, it had been a very long day.
“Come here little one. I think its time you went to bed” Kurama said as he picked up Shippo and cradled him in his arms.
“But I'm not tired,” Shippo yawned. Within a few minuets Shippo was fast asleep in Kurama's arms.
Kurama chuckled, “Goodnight little kit.” Kurama said softly.
The group members waited around until another nurse came up to them.
“Are you the friends of the three injured we just sent to emergency room?” The nurse asked.
“Yes, Yes we are how are they?” Asked Kurama.
“Oh I don't know sir but I have to ask you a few questions about them, what happened to them and who are they?” The nurse looked at the red head questioningly, she then noticed a little fox doll in his hands, and the strangest thing is she thought she saw it breathing.
“Well they were in a…in a…” Yusuke tried to think, how could he explain that they got in a fight with a group of demon slayers and then teleported back here?
“They were in a gang fight, they were ambushed.” Kurama came up with the clever cover story.
“Oh, were you in it too? You look injured,” the nurse said as she looked at the three.
“Trust me we are fine.” Kurama replied.
The nurse decided she didn't want to mess with them so she didn't press the issue further.
“Who are they?” She asked.
“The boy is named Kazuma Kuwabara, the girl in black and pink is Sango and the girl in green is Kagome Higurashi.” Kurama said deciding he should answer the questions.
“Do you have a last name for the girl in pink.” The girl asked Kurama who thought about it.
“No,” He answered slowly.
“Where did you find them, did you know them before they got hurt?” Asked the nurse.
“Yes we knew them, I just never learned Sango's last name.” Kurama said, his patience beginning to where thin.
“Okay, do you know if anyone else was wounded, where was the fight so I can tell police.” The nurse asked.
“We have already told the police and no, no one else was wounded.” Kurama lied.
“Still I need to know where it was.” The nurse said.
“You aren't getting anymore information lady. If you want to push us then you might be the next one people will be asking us about.” Yusuke threatened.
The girl backed off immediately and didn't question them further.
The group waited, and waited, and waited.
“Hn, how long does it take to wrap up some wounds?” Hiei demanded more then asked.
“Well some of their injuries were quite serious, we don't know how bad it is but in this case no news is good news Hiei.” Kurama replied.
“Have they said anything about mommy, Sango, or the funny tall guy?” asked a tired Shippo who just woke up.
“No not yet.” Kurama looked at the little fox then decided to ask a question that had been on his mind for a while.
“Shippo, who is Kikyo?” Asked Kurama.
Shippo proceeded to tell the all about what happened with Naraku, Kikyo and all sorts of things between InuYasha and Kagome, Kurama had to stop himself from growling at some parts.
“Thank you Shippo.” Kurama waited a minuet just thinking about what the little fox had said.
“That's crazy.” Stated Yusuke. “Hay Shippo your team is a pretty crazy bunch, how did you all get together?” Asked Yusuke.
Shippo shared most of their stories; he exaggerated some parts and made himself the hero but mostly kept to the truth.
After Yusuke and Kurama shared a few stories little Shippo was fast asleep again and the rest of the group had gone back to worrying about Sango and Kagome. (Only Yusuke sort of worried about Kuwabara.)
After about two hours a doctor came out.
“Where are the friends of…” He checked his list. “Sango, Kuwabara, and Kagome?” He looked up.
Kurama came towered him but was careful not to wake the sleeping fox in his arms that everyone thought was some sort of doll.
“Yes, what is their condition?” Kurama asked.
“Well… I hate to say…” The doctor began.
“You better start talking.” Warned a very annoyed and tired Hiei.
The doctor was not used to being threatened but he decided to continue ignoring the remark.
“The girl Kagome will be fine, she had a deep cut on her leg but should be walking in a few days once the cut heals up.” Kurama let out a sigh of relief.
“The boy Kuwabara's injuries seem to be a little more serious. Kuwabara has suffered a hard hit to the head and stomach but nothing is broken. We will need to keep him for a while for observation.” The doctor said.
Yusuke laughed, “thank goodness it's his head, that can't be anymore damaged then it already was.”
Hiei was getting really annoyed, he didn't care about the others he knew they would be fine, also the doctor started to sweat a little, what was wrong with Sango.
Kurama caught this; “Doctor, what about Sango?” Kurama stated clearly not wanting the doctor to beat around the bush.
“Well she, she…” the doctor was having trouble continuing, “She had severe blood loss and many really deep wounds. We patched up her wounds and gave her some more blood but she...” The doctor had trouble saying it.
“What's wrong with her.” Hiei said glaring at the doctor.
“She has gone into a coma.” The doctor looked at the friends worried about their reaction.
Kurama looked pale, Yusuke looked shocked and Hiei…looked emotionless, but if you looked really closely you could see him shaking slightly.
“Please doctor, can we go in and see them?” Kurama asked.
“Yes, go ahead in.” The doctor let the three into a room with three cots separated by cloth walls.
Kurama went strait for Kagome's bed and Yusuke to Kuwabara's, both of them were awake. Hiei on the other hand sat in a chair across from Sango's bed and just looked at her. `Hn, dumb human, wake up!' Hiei commanded as he watched her anger coursing threw his veins.
“I'm glad to see you Kurama.” Kagome said. “They haven't told me anything, how is Sango?”
Kurama shivered that he had to be the one to tell her. He went over to her and sat by her bed. “Kagome, Sango is in a coma.” He said calmly.
“What, coma, what do you mean? Sango is fine, she's just a heavy sleeper.” Kagome knew she was just trying to convince herself but it was almost impossible to believe.
Shippo went over to Kagome and gave her a big hug.
“Don't worry mommy, Sango will be okay, I know she will.” Shippo was sure and it helped Kagome to see him so sure. She hugged her son with all her might. “Thank you Shippo.”
Kurama decided to leave them alone, they needed some family time. He slipped out of the cloth room and went to Sango's; he was not surprised to see Hiei there.
Hiei didn't even realize Kurama had entered he was just staring at Sango.
“Hiei…Hiei…how is she.” Kurama asked the fire apparition.
“She has steady breathing.” Hiei responded.
“The stupid slayer better wake up soon, if she doesn't she will make us wait to finish our mission.” Hiei said glaring at Sango. Kurama could tell that what Hiei meant was “I hope she wakes up soon.”
“Hiei have you tried using the jagon?” asked Kurama.
Hiei didn't reply instead he just closed his eyes and his jagon eye glowed.
Kurama decided to leave him to his work; he wanted to go check in with Kagome.
***In Sango's Mind. ***
It was dark and cold. `Where am I?' questioned Sango as she looked around at nothing.
`Its s-sooo cold.' She shivered as she walked around in the darkness.
“Is anyone there?…Hello.” Sango was feeling a feeling she hadn't felt since her family had died, lonely and frightened, she didn't know what was happening.
Sango felt the pull of sleep on her. `No, no I can't fall asleep, I might never wake up.'
Sango didn't know where she was but she needed to stay awake and face whatever dangers were hiding in this dark cold place. She walked around for a long time before falling to her knees, she was too tiered, she couldn't stand any more, she just wanted to sleep.
On the other side of Sango's mind Hiei began to materialize but Sango didn't see him and he didn't see her. Hiei shivered at how cold it was, he had been in many minds before but none of them ever felt like this. Hiei looked around for Sango. He picked a direction and followed it.
He kept a sharp look out for something, anything. Eventually through the darkness he saw a figure huddled on the ground he went over too it.
Hiei saw Sango; she was crying ever so softly just trying to stay awake.
“Stop that whining” Hiei said as he approached the figure.
Sango didn't seem to even hear him; she was too numbed by the conditions.
Hiei didn't know what to do, he found her, now what?
Hiei went over to Sango and crouched down to her level, she still didn't really notice him.
`What's wrong with her, she looks frozen?' Hiei reached out a hand and touched her, to his shock she was cold, too cold for any human to be. Sango finally looked up, slowly.
“Hiei?” She just looked at him.
For a second Sango didn't care, she was freezing and Hiei was there, a warm source, she could feel his warmth in his touch.
Before Hiei realized what was happening Sango moved over and got closer to him, she moved into his warmth.
Hiei just stared at the slayer. Sango responded to his questioning look, “I'm cold, your warm, we can kill each other later but right now I just want to get warm.” Sango said.
Hiei couldn't deny that logic so he decided for once to let his guard down, he sat down and Sango sat next to him. Hiei didn't understand what was happening. Sango moved closer and he wrapped his arms around her.
“Thank You” Sango whispered as she felt the warmth from his arms.
To say Hiei was confused would be an understatement, he had never felt like this and he didn't know why he was helping the woman he despised more then any other living being.
After what seemed like hours, Sango began to feel much warmer. As Sango felt warmer the darkness began to fade, light began to take its place.
Eventually it was as light as a mind should be and Sango was warm again.
Sango tuned around to face Hiei, realizing that she had accepted, no not accepted, asked for help from her worst enemy. Still she felt a tinge of gratitude. “I guess you saved my life again midget.”
Hiei simply nodded, he didn't feel like gloating, this was all too strange.
After sitting together for a few minuets Hiei spoke. “You can now wake up, we should go back before your friend drowns herself in her tears.” Sango laughed.
Against his better judgment Hiei liked her laugh and he wanted to hear more. “Your right… I will see you when I wake up (she paused) spiky.” Sango said. Hiei growled lightly but nodded and disappeared back into the recovery room at the hospital wondering how, if only for an instant, he actually enjoyed the slayers company.
***The Recovery Room***
Hiei had been in Sango's mind for around an hour. That means his body was just sitting on a chair not responding with his jagon glowing for an hour, yes his friends did
Notice.
“Hay maybe shortie got in a coma too.” Kuwabara chuckled.
“Leave him alone Kuwabara, I told you he went in to try and find Sango and get her out of her coma.” An exhausted Kurama repeated for about the 12th time since Hiei went into Sango's mind.
“I really hope he succeeds.” Kagome wished.
“Me too Kagome.” Kurama said.
Kuwabara was bored so he picked up a permanent marker and uncapped it; he looked at Hiei with a mischievous smile.
“I wouldn't do that, Hiei might kill you and I wont help you.” Yusuke warned.
Kuwabara ignored him and moved the marker closer to Hiei's face. Right when Kuwabara was about to make contact a hand flew up and grabbed his arm and began twisting it, “go any closer and I will rip your arm off.” Hiei glared at Kuwabara.
“Oh, Hiei, Ha…Ha funny thing about that, I wasn't trying to do anything…you see it…it was all Yusuke's idea.” Kuwabara defended.
“Leave me out of it.” Yusuke said raising his hands in defense.
Hiei was stopped from possibly killing Kuwabara when he heard sheets move, Sango was awake.
For one second both of them just stared at each other then Sango broke the silence,
“What are you staring at midget?” Sango glared.
“I'm staring at an annoying, cycopathic, bipolar wench who has taken way too much of my time.” Hiei responded.
“Oh… I'm so sorry! NOT. Wait where did you go, I can't even see you your too short. Maybe you should get a stepstool and I will be able to see you way down there.” Sango teased as she glared at the person who had just saved her life.
“Shut up or I'll burn you alive.” Hiei responded glaring at Sango.
“Yeah right you couldn't even burn a candle let alone me.” Sango said testing Hiei.
“Care to test that theory you egotistical mortal?” Hiei glared as he got up and his fists glowed with fire.
“Yeah, I would you weak, annoying pathetic excuse for a demon.” Sango glared back.
But only Kurama and Kagome could see something was different, in yelling at each other Hiei and Sango were a little bit…softer. `I wonder what caused that' Kurama wondered as he watched the two glare at each other promising death someday.
Sango started to get up to fight but within a few seconds a huge wave of pain coursed threw her and she fell right back down.
“D**N I hate being injured.” Sango said pain laced her voice.
The fire on Hiei's fists stopped burning and he looked at her.
“What, you still want a fight? Fine.” Sango tried once again to get up but this time Hiei grabbed the sheet off her bed, she looked at him very strangely.
“What are you…?” Sango was cut off when fast as lightning Hiei had tied the blanket around Sango and the bed strapping her down.
“Hn, don't get up, we have wasted enough time waiting for you to heal, anymore injuries and we will have to wait longer to burry you.” Hiei said tying the knots tighter making sure she couldn't move.
Sango was stuck and no one was going to help her.
“I think that's a good idea Sango, you'll hurt yourself if you move anymore.” A concerned Shippo said.
“I'm fine now get me out of this [insert your own string of curses her] blanket off of me.” Sango screamed.
No one moved to help her because they were happy she was safe, however Sango didn't think so and for the rest of the night she kept yelling curses and insults to them until she finally fell asleep in what Hiei called “her improvised strait jacket.” Everyone else fell asleep, Yusuke went home, and Kuwabara fell asleep in his hospital bed. Kagome went to sleep in her hospital bed and Kurama fell asleep in the chair next to her. Hiei looked at the sleeping group, stare lingering on Sango then he went outside to sleep in a tree where he could clearly see inside the room incase any of them were ever in trouble.
***In The Feudal Era***
In the caves of the demon slayers Crece was busy mixing strange liquids together when Soloc came in.
“Master, how is it going, have you made any progress?” Soloc asked.
“Yes.” Crece replied.
“Wonderful news master…what progress have you made?” Soloc looked at him expectantly. “Have you found out a way to re-make the fox thief?” Soloc questioned.
“Now Soloc, why would I spend all my time and magic making a fox thief when there was already one in existence?” Asked Soloc.
“Wait master, I thought the great King of Thief's Yoko was killed by hunters many years back? Is that not true master?” Asked Soloc.
“Yes that is true but that boy, the one with the red hair…he had the energy print of Yoko.” Crece said with an evil grin.
“But master that surly wasn't the great Yoko? Was it?” Soloc wondered.
“No, that wasn't the great Yoko but with the right magic that boy will transform into Yoko, from what I can tell he has already transformed before.” Crece said.
“Fine master but if he can transform into Yoko how will that help us?” Soloc said.
“You think too simply Soloc. Tell me Soloc, do you know what this is?” Crece held up a peace of red hair.
“Yes master that is the boys hair.” Soloc said happily knowing he said the right answer.
“Yes…Yes it is the boys hair. And in a persons hair is there DNA right? Their map of themselves coded in one follicle. Well if I infuse it with my magic I have the map of their whole being under my control. This hair will send out a signal to its owner, I can make the signal whatever I want. If I want him to transform, he will transform. If I want him to kill, he will kill. And if I want him to gather the shards, gather the shards he will. The only problem is that it takes a lot of energy so I can only control one person at a time and only for limited time, so I have to choose the strongest I can find. That is why when I sensed Yoko's presence I knew he was the one. You see when I have control over someone DNA, even a small piece, I can have control of them, simple isn't it Soloc.” Crece said with a truly evil smile.
“Y-Yes S-sir I guess y-you can.” Soloc was truly frightened, he remembered when they went to this sorcerer for help, he never said he had the power to control people by using their hair, what else could he do?
“Anyway I felt that I owed it to my old partner Yoko to transform him back, I'm sure its what he would have wanted.” Crece evilly smiled as he thought of the power he could have.
“Well Soloc, what do you think? Do you think I should give it a try?” Crece looked at him expectantly.
“Y-Yes Sir.” Soloc said unsure.
“Good…so do I.” Crece closed his eyes and focused his magic using the hair, he sent one message out to Kurama, `bring me back the jewel shards from around that priestesses neck, Kagome.'
***The Hospital***
Kagome shot bolt up right in the middle of the night. She was breathing hard and had a look of terror on her face.
“What's wrong Kagome?” A worried Kurama asked whom the startled girl had awaked.
“I…I…had a nightmare, oh it was terrible.” Kagome was shaking now.
“Its all right Kagome, Its all right.” Kurama tried to calm her down but she was unmoved by his efforts.
Kurama then sat next to the terrified girl and hugged her close to him, “Its all right Kagome, no one will hurt you, everything's all right.” Kagome began to relax a little in his arms but was still shaken up by her dream.
“I dreamed that you attacked us…I dreamed you wanted to hurt me. I dreamed you wanted my jewel shards and you were trying to kill me.” Kagome was crying a little at the thought.
“Shhh, don't worry Kagome I would never hurt you. I will never attack you. I swear I will always be there for you, I will protect you Kagome.” Kurama whispered.
“I know you will, thank you.” Kagome calmed down and hugged Kurama back. For one sweet moment neither one of them cared what was happening as they just sat in each other's arms.
“Kurama?” Kagome asked.
“Yes Kagome.” Kurama looked down at Kagome as she looked up at him.
“I…um.” Kagome was caught off guard; she was looking into the most beautiful emerald eyes she had ever seen.
Kurama was also entwined in the same spellbinding magic as he looked into her glistening brown eyes.
Time raced by as they stared at one another hearts pounding.
Then Kurama did what he had been longing to do since he had first laid eyes on her, he drew a little closer and then swiftly, softly pressed his lips against hers.
Kagome paused for a second then slowly, passionately deepened the kiss.
Kurama's arms slipped around her slender waist, and she put her arms around his neck bringing him closer to her.
After what seemed like hours they parted and stared at one another. No words were exchanged as Kagome slid even closer to Kurama and they both held each other, both happier at that moment then they had ever been.
“Thank you.” Kagome whispered.
“Thank you Kagome, thank you.” Kurama closed his eyes, his thoughts focused that he had finally found someone who he didn't have to hide things from, someone he truly cared about, someone who understood, he was finally with Kagome.
Kagome didn't try to hide the blush that crept across her face, she was too happy. `He likes me, oh and I like him to much to say, I don't ever want to leave his side, this is so…perfect.'
After sitting together just thinking, Kurama said something he wished he didn't have to.
“Its very late, if you want to get better you really should get some sleep.” Kagome knew Kurama was right so she went to get into bed but turned around. She gave Kurama a quick kiss on the lips, “Goodnight.” She smiled.
“Yes, Goodnight Kagome.” Kurama said as she slipped under the covers to dream about her first kiss with Kurama.
Kurama went back to the chair to sleep. He closed his eyes and just began to drift to sleep watching Kagome's sleeping form.
Kurama began to slip off to sleep when he felt a sharp jab of pain to his chest, he sat bolt up right, there was no one there.
After a second another sharp pain pulsed threw him, then another. He got a terrible migraine and began to keel over in pain. “What's happening?” He breathed threw the surges of pain.
“What are you doing fox?” Hiei asked as he jumped into the room from his tree looking down at a curled up Kurama on the floor.
Kagome began to wake up and saw Kurama with a twisted face full of pain.
“Kurama, oh Kurama please, what's wrong, what's happening?”
Kurama could barely control the pain that he was going threw, “I…I don't know…I…arg…I can't…I can't…” Kurama suddenly stopped. Not only did he stop talking but also he stopped struggling.
Kurama began to slowly rise off the floor to a stand.
“Oh Kurama, I'm glade your okay, you really scared me…Kurama?” Kagome looked at Kurama who was still looking down.
“Kurama what's…” Kagome was cut off as she looked at Kurama; he was changing right before her eyes. Kurama changed into a form she had seen him change into only once before. Standing tall before Kagome and Hiei was the great King of Thief's Yoko Kurama.
Yoko Kurama in his truest form glared at Kagome and Hiei, his eyes were no longer shimmering emerald eyes but cold, blank gold eyes.
“What, What's happened to you? Why did you change…Kurama answer me!” Instead of an answer Yoko's bloodthirsty eyes linked with Kagome's, she stepped back a step in terror.
Hiei saw it first, Yoko's claws flexed then lunged strait for Kagome's neck, Hiei reacted just in time to stop Kagome from being Yoko's scratching post.
“Kurama…snap out of it, your stronger then that!” Hiei said glaring at his friend, He knew he was no longer talking to Kurama. He knew Kurama was no longer in control.
“Why? Why are you attacking me?” Kagome was crying, her nightmare had come true.
“Kurama is not himself, get the slayer and moron out of here, ill deal with Yoko.” Hiei said glaring at Kagome showing he meant business.
“Okay!” Kagome grabbed an unconscious Sango and started to haul her out.
Shippo ran out fast terrified his hero was trying to kill them.
“Stop it Kurama! Stop!” The little kit was cut off when a whip made of thorns cut his leg.
Within a few moments Kurama went back to attacking his main target Kagome.
`What am I doing, help me, I'm not in control, Kagome its not me! Kagome' Kurama tried to break the hold but it was no use, he attacked Kagome and Sango head on.
Hiei anticipated the attack and blocked it with his sword. Kurama responded by slicing Hiei stomach with his claws, blood flowed.
“Get her out NOW!” Hiei yelled as Kagome was struggling to pick an unconscious Sango up.
“I'm trying!” Kagome responded.
Hiei stood in Yoko's way from getting the girls. `Who is doing this to Kurama, whoever it is must be very powerful, come on break out of it fox.' Hiei thought as he lunged at Yoko.
“Stop Hiei, please don't hurt him!” Kagome said as Hiei sword went into Yoko's arm.
Hiei didn't respond, he would not kill Yoko unless there was no other way but if hurting him would save them then so be it.
Kurama's rose whip whipped around Hiei the spikes going into him. Yoko then threw Hiei into multiple walls and the bed successfully knocking him out. Yoko then went after his next target, Kagome.
Kagome got Sango out of the room. `Why hasn't she woken up, I guess that her injuries have made her stay unconscious until they heal up a little more.'
When Kagome went back to get Kuwabara she saw something she didn't want to see, Hiei was unconscious and Yoko was looking strait at her.
“Please Kurama don't!” Kagome said as her back hit the wall stopping her.
Then with one swift swipe Yoko sliced her arm that was blocking her heart.
Kagome screamed out in pain but Yoko didn't stop.
Yoko lunged at her again and sliced her leg, she fell to the floor and couldn't really get up, and she looked up to see Yoko standing before her with his claws out.
“Kurama Please...!” Kagome begged as Yoko raised his claw to kill.
Yoko's hand raced towered Kagome in what seemed like slow motion, then stopped right above her neck.
For a second those cold glazy eyes became emerald. “Please Kagome…get out of here.” Kurama say in a strained voice.
Kagome understood then, Kurama was trying to fight it.
For a minuet the claws got farther then closer to her neck, Kurama was fighting for control, but he was loosing.
Kagome began to get away, but Yoko came after her, he had won.
“Wait no don't…” Kagome was cut off when Yoko grabbed the jewel shard bottle from off her neck and kicked her hard in the stomach sending her flying across the room.
Without another word Yoko sped off towered the well leaving Kagome hurt and Hiei unconscious.
A few moments after Yoko had gone Hiei woke up.
“Where is he?” Hiei said glaring at Kagome who had just began to get up.
“I don't know, I think he went back to the feudal era.” Kagome choked up a little blood when she said that.
“I will go after him!” Hiei demanded.
“No, you can't go after him alone, I'm coming too.” Kagome replied daring the fire demon to protest.
“Hn, fine.” Hiei glared when he realized Sango was barely standing in the doorway she had woken up when Kurama had slice Kagome but was too weak to help.
“Did Kurama just attack you? Was that Kurama?” Questioned Sango.
“Yes but it wasn't him, I know that he was possessed.” Kagome said in Kurama's defense.
“Well then I'm going to go after him too!” Said Sango.
“No Sango you cant, you can barely walk!” Kagome replied.
“Kagome I don't belong in this world, my wounds are patched up, I can walk fine. There is no way your leaving me behind in this strange world.” Sango said determined.
“Fine, we will leave Kuwabara here though.” Kagome said eyeing an unconscious Kuwabara who had woken up at one point put then a piece of wood came and hit him on the head.
“Mommy, what happened? Why did Kurama hurt you?” Shippo was on the brink of tears.
“He didn't mean too, come on Shippo lets go look for the people who did that to Kurama. Don't worry Shippo we will find him. Oh dear, come on lets get you patched up” Kagome said. As she took out some cloth and made a really quick fix to Shippo's wounds.
This cheered Shippo up “Okay lets go help Kurama.” Shippo said as he hopped on Kagome's shoulders.
“Wait, he took my jewel shards, we can't get back!” Kagome said in a panic.
“Hn, don't worry about that, I have a jewel shard, you never took it back.” Said an annoyed Hiei because he couldn't just steel the treasure.
“Good and Yusuke has one too, so when he wants he can get Kuwabara and himself back to the feudal era.” Kagome responded. Then she paused…
“Look, on the floor, there is a jewel shard! When Kurama was transforming he must have dropped the one I gave him.” Kagome said as she picked it up so she could go threw the well.
The group of four then went threw the window (they were on the first story.)
So they could avoid all the doctors and cops that would be sure to show up soon.
Kagome was going fast enough but Sango was still struggling to walk and breath at the same time.
Sango never complained once though, she was just going slowly, too slowly for Hiei's taste.
Hiei went up and before anyone could say anything he scoped up Sango cradle style not touching any of her wounds and began to carry her.
“What the He** do you think you're doing?” Sango cried out in anger.
“Your too slow.” Hiei responded as he carried the cursing slayer followed by Kagome and Shippo.
`Kurama don't worry, well find you, don't worry everything will be okay! I'm coming for you Kurama.' Kagome thought hoping against hope that they were not to late to save him.
