Chapter One

Kagome stumbled into the cave her body sore and her mind begging for rest. She was completely drained and just needed to rest for a couple of days so that she could travel to the human world to try and find herself a new home. At the thought of a home she began to cry slightly she missed her home so much but there wasn't anything that she could do about it. She'd watched them burn down the only home that she knew in all of her sixteen years as they carried her off.

Ever since that moment she had no home. It was after the first one of his many horrid experiments that she decided that she would go to the human world and find herself a new home. Silent tears fell on her dirty cheeks as she allowed her exhaustion to consume her.

Back at the lab

Yuskie entered the room and had to hold his hand over his mouth. `My god what happened here.' He thought as he stared at what was left of what appeared to be the demon that they were after. All that was left was a puddle of horrible putrid acid and what appeared to be a small whistle that was a few feet away from the puddle of acid. He could tell that it was a demon that had killed the demon because of the power that lingered in the room. He didn't notice as Hiei and Kurma entered the room followed by Botan.

They all heard a sharp intake of breath from the one they all least expected….. Hiei.

<Kurma someone's been here with a Jegan eye.>

<Are you sure Hiei?>

<Of course. My own Jegan eye is trying to connect to the other one.>

<Who do you think it is?>

<If I knew that do you think that I……….>

Suddenly Hiei went completely still vivid flashes of strange events flashing in his mind. Then he was gone suddenly leaving his friends behind.

<I know where they are I'll be back after I deal with them. Explain everything Kurma.>

Kurma sighed and turned to a very confused Yuskie. "Hiei thinks that the demon who killed this demon has a Jegan eye. He said that he could feel it trying to contact his own Jegan. I'm guessing but I think that it succeeded because he left in a hurry and told me to tell you that he knows where the demon that caused this is and he's going after it." Kurma explained. He turned and headed out the door. "Botan will you create a portal for us to get back home?" he asked his voice laced with exhaustion and eagerness to get back to his own realm.

Botan looked at Yuskie for a second then back at Kurma "What about Hiei shouldn't we wait for him?" Kurma only shook his head knowing all to well that Hiei could handle the situation. She nodded her head to show that she understood then they all stepped into the portal she made.

Hiei's Pov

I ran toward the demon that somehow had connected with my Jegan eye. I was slightly angry that someone could contact me without me knowing. I was going to deal with it and that mainly meant that the demon would be dead before the day was over with.

The visions in my head were getting stronger the closer I seemed to get to the demon. I was slightly disoriented because I was running half blind my eyes straight head and my Jegan seeing the images. At times they were horrible like a nightmare that one could not wake up from. Then at times they were enjoyable to watch. Then an image played behind my Jegan eye and I realized that it was events that took place today. I watched as they killed the demon then took off toward a near by cave.

As I neared that very cave I slowed my speed and began to walk into the cave my hand on my sword. / If anyone knows what Hiei's soward is called Please tell me!/ What I saw caught me completely off guard. It was definably the last thing I expected.

FEMALE_INUYASHA: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!! You guys will just have to wait and find out just it was Hiei didn't expect."

Hiei:"Hn…" (Mumbles under his breath) "Stupid author stupid surprise"

FEMALE_INUYASHA: "Hey now that's not fair I'm not stupid but I can make you that way. Hummm…." (Thinks for a second. The end of her pencil against her lip) "Lets see you could be a---" (she was cut short when Hiei's sword pressed against her throat)

Hiei: "If you value your life you'll shut up now!"

FEMALE_INUYASHA: (Nods slowly)

HIEI: "Good" (pulls his sword away)

FEMALE_INUYASHA: (rubs her neck as she glares daggers at him) "Well looks like that's it."
