A/N I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while. school just started and I've been preoccupied with all the work and everything. I'm really sorry. ill try and update more on the weekends and stuff but I cant make any promises at this point in my life...stupid school *grumble* oh and I know that this is starting a little slow but bare with me.

The echoing sound of an alarm clock rang through the house. Kagome grumbled and pulled the sheets back over her head. She wanted to go to school today but she was just too tired. Then she remembered that she had promised Kurama that she'd meet him early before school to hang out and talk and all that junk. She groaned and through the covers off her. Her clock blinked 6:30 a.m.

" Wow…what do ya know an hour to get ready." Kagome said to herself as she dragged herself out of bed. She slumped down the hallway and prepared herself for another day at school.

Kagome ran down the sidewalk into the courtyard to find Kurama sitting on the bench reading a novel. She sighed and walked over to him lightly sitting beside him. He finished the paragraph he was on and turned his head up to look at her.

" Hey" Kagome said. " Sorry I'm late. I got held up." Kurama nodded his head studying her face.

"It's ok I was just sitting here reading." Kurama replied. He then got up and Kagome followed suit.

"So what now? School doesn't start for another hour or so." Kagome said studying his facial expression. He looked….calm…emotionless.

" Follow me I want to show you something" Kurama said in a soft voice while turning toward her and smiling. She nodded her head and followed his lead as he took her out of the courtyard and away from the school. They must have walked about 2 miles before they came to a small plane hill. Kagome raised an eyebrow at this but kept following non the less.

When they reached the top of the hill Kurama laid down and motioned for her to follow. Kagome laid next to him and looked up at the sky as the clouds rolled by. Kagome was going to speak but Kurama beat her to it.

" I use to come up here as a young child with my mother. After she got her new job and school started for me…we never seemed to have time for it anymore."

Kagome looked at him with a semi-shocked expression but nodded deciding its best for her not to say anything at the moment. They laid there in silence for a couple of moments before Kurama moved over her, shielding her view from the sky. Kagome just laid there and watch as his long red hair formed a curtain around her head.

" What up?" Kagome breathed, her eye lids half shut. Kurama tilted his head to the side and lowered his lips on hers. Kagome gasped loudly which gave Kurama the chance to gently slide his tongue in her mouth. Kurama pulled away from her and looked into her eyes. She stared back at him for a while then pulled him back down for a furious kiss. They broke apart breathing heavily. Then they felt it…the rain began to pour down around their laying figures. They laughed and Kurama stood to his feet and pulled Kagome up with him.

" Kurama what time is it?" Kagome asked with a smile on her face spinning around. Kurama looked down at his watch and immediately grabbed Kagome's arm and started running back in the direction of the school. Kagome yelped and pulled her arm away running at the same pace.

"I take it we're out of time then?" Kagome asked watching the side of his face as he only nodded. She sighed and kept up with his steady pace. When they arrived at the school building they shot through the doors drenched from head to toe. Kurama was going to run to class but Kagome grabbed his hand telling him to slow down. He looked back at her seeing her face flushed and breathing heavily. He slowed down to a walk and they stayed at that pace for the rest of their journey to class.

Kurama and Kagome stood outside their classroom door, thirty minutes late. They looked at each other and silently gulped. Kurama leaned down and have her one last kiss before pushing the door open. The whole class plus the teacher looked as they walked together to their seats, drenched from the down pour.

" Kurama and Kagome would you care to explain for your tardiness?" The teacher asked crossing her arms and looking between the two. Kagome ringed her hair out and stole a glance at Kurama. To her surprise he was smiling. He turned to look at her and his response to the teacher almost made her double over in shock.

" We stopped for a while to share a kiss in the rain."
