Chapter 4: The mission

 

 

 

 

Kagome just stood there for a few moments staring as Sesshomaru proceeded down the hall. Some one then wrapped they arm around her waist and picked her up and threw her over their shoulder.

 

 

"Let me go", Kagome said as she struggled and looked up seeing black hair.

 

 

"Look human we don't need to waist time besides we are going to be going fast and don't need you to be slow", Kuronue said as he continued walking down the hall as Yoko chuckled.

 

 

"Kuronue you sure do know how to treat a lady", Yoko said teasing him.

 

 

"What do you have a problem with humans and I have a name it is Kagome call me by it", Kagome yelled.

 

 

"Actually no but if they get in my way then we have a problem", Kuronue retorted. The four then finally reached the end of the hall as they exited the castle.

 

 

"Wrap your arms around my neck if you fall I will not go back", Kuronue ordered.

 

 

"Okay ahhhhhhhhhhhhh", Kagome yelled as Kuronue, Yoko, and Sesshomaru took off running real fast.

 

 

"Would you be quiet your hurting my ears", Kuroue commanded as Kagome glared at him. After about an hour of running through the forest the three demons stopped as Kuronue put Kagome down.

 

 

"Here is the barrier can you break it", Sesshomaru said looking into Kagome's eyes as she stared into his cold emotionless ones.

 

 

"Yeah stand back", Kagome said as she shot a sacred arrow at the barrier. There was a huge blinding light as everyone shielded their eyes. When the light died down the barrier was gone.

 

 

"Come on and be quiet", Sesshomaru refering to Kagome. Everyone then started to proceed slowly as they came across a clearing with a small shrine in the middle of it.

 

 

"There is nothing here but a shrine", Kagome said.

 

 

"What we need is inside the shrine", Kuronue said.

 

 

"We are not alone", Yoko said turning around.

 

 

"We are surronded", Kuronue yelled looking in all four directions looking at dead humans made out of dirt and graveyard soil.

 

 

"Well if you can fight we are alright", Kagome said as she got another arrow.

 

 

"No need to worry you need to be worrying about yourself", Yoko said as he looked at Kagome.

 

 

"No need to worry here", Kagome said. Yoko then pulled a rose from his hair and transformed it into a rose whip. Sesshomaru drew Tokijin as Kuronue drew his blade at the same time.

 

 

"Kagome friends of yours", Kuronue joked.

 

 

"Nope I assumed they were yours", Kagome responded. The dead opponents then started coming at the four with drawn weapons.

 

 

"Stay out of my way", Sesshomaru said as he cut some in half with Tokijin. Yoko Kurama then kill some behind him with his rose whip with the whip almost hitting Sesshomaru in the process.

 

 

"Watch it Yoko", Sesshomaru warned.

 

 

"Unfortunately I am a master at using this whip", Yoko combated. Kuronue then swung his blade and cut up a great deal of the undead. More then came out of the ground. Kagome just stood there getting dizzy off of the three blurs from Yoko's, Kuronue's, Sesshomaru's swift speed. Just then something grabbed her shoulder as she turned around and hit it with her bow. Kagome then turned around and shot an arrow at several of the undead. The next thing you know there is a huge explosion on the whole field. After the explosion cleared Sesshomaru, Kuronue, Yoko, and Kagome was lying on the ground. Soon all of them started slowly getting up. The demons were a little scratched up but Kagome's left leg was bloody.

 

 

"Everyone alright", Yoko Kurama said as he struggled to get up.

 

 

"I am still in one piece", Kuronue responded.

 

 

"What about you Sesshomaru", Yoko Kurama said.

 

 

"I'm alright", Sesshomaru said, "What about you miko".

 

 

"I'll live it is just a minor gash", Kagome said sitting up as she held her bloody left leg.

 

 

"Right", Kuronue said not really believing her.

 

 

"It appears there was a huge underground mine and the onna triggered it but she was in the worst spot", Yoko pointed out. Yoko then got up and walked to Kagome. He kneeled down and ripped his upper clothing off and wrapped Kagome's leg in it.

 

 

"Don't even confuse the matter we might need your assistance again", Yoko assured Kagome before she could even think anything. Yoko Kurama's expression then changed to anger.

 

 

"What is it Yoko", Kuronue responded.

 

 

"Intruders are trying to break into the palace Yuri just sent me the information through telepathy. Sorry Sesshomaru but Kuronue and I have to abandon this for now we have to protect our lands", Yoko said as him and Kuronue left. Soon after a sword came flying out of the air without Sesshomaru knowing and hit him straight in the chest digging into his skin as he grunted.

 

 

"Sesshomaru!", Kagome yelled as she got up and limpt to him. Sesshomaru then grabbed the hilt of the sword and pulled it out releasing a groan. Kagome finally rached Sesshomaru as she kneeled down beside him and examined the injury.

 

 

"Onna I don't need you help", Sesshomaru said to Kagome hiding the painful expression on his face.

 

 

"Don't be stupid you are badly hurt I will be back in a hour stay there and don't move", Kagome said as she got up and ran for Kaede's village to get her bag which contained her first aid kit. Ignoring her injury Kagome ran as fast as she could she had to be quick or Sesshomaru might die.
