A/N: Okay I know that I said that my next fanfiction was going to be a Yu-Gi-Oh fic but I thought of this one and decided to write it. Besides I am still working on the Yu-Gi-Oh fic. Any way on with the fic. This one is just like `Shared Destinies' but I couldn't help it, it sounded like a good idea so I went with it. The Year of the Fox

~17 years ago in Makai~

Two fox spirits ran from the hunter that was hot on their heels. The one with nine tails was the famous Yoko Kurama. The other one that was smaller in size and only had seven tails was his younger sister Yoko Alaire. The hunter shot an arrow at the smaller fox, which was lagging behind. Kurama saw this and jumped in front of it, taking the blow. The hunter grinned and started approaching when Kurama retreated to Ningenkai. Alaire howled at the loss of her brother, but was cut short as she saw the hunter aiming at her again. The chase began once again.

Kurama once again woke up in a cold sweat. ~That dream again. I wish I knew what happened.~ He looked at the clock and saw that it was about time to get up for school. He got around and was walking to school when he ran into his friends. They were arguing again as usual. When they reached the school, Yusuke tried to skip, but was dragged into school by his girlfriend Keiko. Kurama shook his head at this and went into school, following his friends. Little did they know that what Koenma had in store for them.

"Class we have two new students today. They are best friends from Shinko High. Please welcome, Kagome Hiragashi and DA Fox." Said the spirit detectives' first period teacher. Kurama looked up from his reading to see a girl with black hair and blue eyes and a girl with dark purple hair and green eyes. "You girls may take a seat now." The girls took their seats in the row in front of the detectives. DA had taken a seat in front of Kurama and Kagome had taken a seat in front of Hiei. Class would have continued uneventfully if Yusuke's communicator hadn't gone off. Yusuke ran out of the room with speed that even Hiei couldn't even hope to accomplish. "What do you want toddler?
Yusuke hissed out. ~ I called to ask you and the others to come. I have a new member for you and a new mission. Go to the courtyard, Botan will meet you and the others there. ~ Yusuke went to the classroom window and motioned the three others out. Kagome and DA noticed this and took note. You see they weren't ordinary people, oh no, one happened to be a miko who could time travel and the other happened to be a rare silver fox demon. Nothing was normal for them anymore.

While the girls stayed put in class, the spirit detectives went to the spirit world to see the great and mighty (DAF: KOENMA GET AWAY FROM THE KEYBOARD!! *knocks him away with her trusty baseball bat *) Koenma, otherwise known as toddler. "What did you drag us out of school for Koenma? My mom is going to kill me not to mention Keiko!" "Calm down, Yusuke. Kurama, I'm sure you will get along fine with this new member." "Why do you say that Koenma sir?" asked Kurama "Hello Yoko. Forgot me already?" said a voice from the shadows. "Kuronue?" asked Kurama shocked to say the least. The bat demon stepped out of the shadows smiling. "I see that you have remembered old friend." "Koenma you said something about another mission, well, what's the mission?" asked an impatient Yusuke. "I need you to go get two new members for the team. The first one is Kagome Hiragashi; a miko who can time travel to feudal Japan and the second is one of the last silver kitsunes, like Yoko. Her name is Yoko Alaire a.k.a. DA Fox. Here are their photos. The one with purple hair is DA Fox's human form. Kurama and Kuronue, you may be surprised at how much she has changed after your deaths. Don't be surprised if she doesn't believe you or pummels you into the ground" Kurama's eyes widen as he looked at the pictures on the screen, one of DA's true form and her human form. He then realized that his sister was DA Fox and he had just seen her again for the first time in years today. "Go to this club tonight. The group that they perform in is performing tonight at this address. You can talk to them there." As Yusuke and company walked out the door, Koenma stopped Yusuke. "Don't screw this one up Yusuke. We really need them. Don't ask why you will see in due time." He let him go then stopped Kuronue. "Kuronue, she may not remember the love you two shared." "I am aware of that Koenma" Said Kuronue with a sad expression. Koenma nodded and sent him on his way.

The gang entered the club, and was blown away by the music. It was amazing. They were early for the band, so they went to the dance floor for a while. Finally it was time for the band to perform so they went and sat in the seats that Koenma had so conveniently reserved for them. This was a demon and human club so Kuronue didn't have to have a human disguise to come. They watched as the band filed on to the stage and saw that Kagome was on the keyboards and DA was on the drums. The bass guitar player was a girl with long brown hair and brown eyes. The guitar player was a man with brown hair in a low ponytail and purple eyes. The singer was a demon by the looks of him. He had gold eyes and white hair with doggy ears on top of his head. (One guess who he is) As they set up and were ready to play their first song, the crowd quieted. The drums started up first. Yusuke was the first to recognize the song. "Hey that is the song Life styles of the Rich and Famous by Good Charlotte!" Kurama and Kuronue looked at DA on the drums and saw that she was having the time of her life! She was smiling and laughing. That kept up until the song `Riot Girl' came on. The two guys started singing that to the girls and soon had bricks, drum sticks, and a bass guitar thrown at them. Finally their last song came on. It was by Maroon Five and was called `Harder to Breath'. The song was sung at one of the waitresses at the club that looked like Kagome's twin. She didn't look one bit happy about it. DA looked up from her drumming and saw Kurama and Kuronue. Her eyes widened in shock then she smiled a smile of true happiness. "Hey Kurama, I guess that Koenma was wrong about her not believing us or pummeling us into the ground." "Yeah I guess you are right. She looks relived that we are here. Maybe it won't be so hard talking to them after the concert." The concert finally ended after a duet with the lead singer and DA on the song `Picture'. The gang waited till the crowd died down to go talk to them. What they heard next frightened them. "Inuyasha SIT!!" ~BAM~ "Inuyasha when will you learn not to piss off Kagome?" said Sango. Little did she know that a certain pervert was taking his chance to… "HENTAI!!!" ~SMACKBAMCRACK~ "I definitely heard something crack that time." Said a bored DA who acted like this was an everyday occurrence. She then turned and saw Kurama and Kuronue walking up to her. "BIG BROTHER!!!" She shouted as she ran up to him. She then proceeded to give him a hug. "Oh how I have missed you." She whispered to him. He smiled at his younger sister. "Hey DA I am going to pick up Shippo meet you at the apartment." "K!" As Kagome walked out she looked at Kurama and Kuronue and said "So these are the guys you are always talking about." "Yep!" Kagome nodded and left. After DA was done hugging Kurama she noticed Kuronue. "KURONUE! I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!" she cried as she hugged him. "Don't ever leave me again. I love you too much to lose you again." Kuronue smiled and calmed her down by whispering sweet nothings in her ear. Kurama watched this sighing. He was glad that his sister had her love back. He then remembered the others and why they were here. " DA we need to talk to you. We also need to talk to Kagome but seeing as she has already left, you can just repeat what we say to her okay." "Alright" Everyone sat down but DA sat down in Kuronue's lap, which didn't sit to well with Yoko inside Kurama. #WHAT IS HE TRYING TO DO!! LET ME OUT! I WANT TO HAVE A WORD WITH HIM!!# Kurama just threw him in a mental closet and locked the door #LET ME OUT OF HERE!!# Kurama smirked victoriously. "So what did you want to talk about?" She asked as she snuggled more into Kuronue's embrace. "We want you and Kagome to become spirit detectives." Yusuke said plainly. DA's eyes widened. "But I can't. I have other affairs to finish up before I do something else." Kuronue and Kurama looked disappointed at this until she finished her sentence. "What if I become a detective and you guys can help me with my affair?" "It's nothing illegal is it?" asked Kurama glaring at her innocent face. "No of course not. I would never do something like that." She said faking innocence. "But down to business me and Kagome are collecting the shards of the Shinko-no-Tama that she shattered, before the evil hanyou Naraku gets his grimy hands on it. The band members you saw today are all a part of it. Of course you haven't met Shippo yet, but I am sure you will get along just fine with him for he is a kitsune just like us Kurama. He only comes along because of Kagome. She adopted him after the Thunder Brothers killed his parents. He really is a sweet kit."

A/N: WHOA!! THAT WAS MY LONGEST CHAPTER EVER!!! YAYAYAYAYAY! *does victory dance* Anyway a little cliffie there now see ya next time. I promise this time that the Yu-Gi-Oh! fic will come out next so just be patient. Please? Oh and don't forget to review!
