Chapter 1
Some information:
Sango and Kagome are both from the future. Sango's from a long line of demon exterminators, and Kagome is still as she was. They're best friends, and go to Meiou High School (Same as Yuu Kaito and Shuichi Minamino aka Kurama).
They're juniors ((it starts at the end of Yu Yu Hakusho, and the middle of Inu-Yasha, and the Band of Seven aren't included…sorry.))
Pairings:
Yusuke/Keiko/Kagome (something happens, it's not a threesome)
Sango/Kurama (one of my favorites)
Hiei/Mukuro (I think they understand each other very well)
Kuwabara/Yukina
Botan/ whoever you guys want
---
Kagome sighed once again and looked at the Test Scores that were posted right outside of her classroom. She read along and found that she wasn't even posted, and sighed to herself once again.
She turned towards her best friend, Sango, who had once again gotten third, she missed Kaito by a couple of points, and missed Shuichi by many as did Kaito, only ten points, but still. She turned to congratulate her friend when she realized that Sango wasn't standing next to her anymore.
Kagome walked back into the classroom to see that she was talking with some other girls who were amazed by her. Sango looked to her for help and Kagome shooed them away telling them that she had some important work to talk about.
“Kaito, Shuichi, you guys better watch out, Sango's scores are going to be better than both of yours next week,” said Eri, one of Kagome and Sango's friends, as they left the classroom, leaving only the four of them left.
Sango gathered her stuff and blushed when Kurama looked over to her, pulling Kagome along out of the room.
“See you later, guys,” waved Kagome just as the door was shut behind her.
Sango still had the blush on her face as she walked down the hall, not even bothering to look at her combined scores for the week. She sighed once they turned the corner, and Kagome patted her back.
“You know, if you don't talk to him soon, someone else is going to get him,” said Kagome.
“Maybe you could, but I would rather just watch him,” said Sango.
“Stalker,” laughed Kagome.
Sango blushed again, “Maybe I should talk to him, you know?”
Kagome nodded, “I think you should. He's very polite.”
Sango smiled, “Inu-Yasha's going to kill us for being late.”
Kagome broke into a run as she put on her regular shoes (it's a Japanese school), and waited a little until Sango finally pulled on her shoes. They didn't have far to walk from the school to Kagome's house where Sango stayed through the weeks that she had school, because her house was too far away for her to take the train every day which would have been a five hour ride to and then another five hours back.
They walked up the stairs to her house and set their backpacks in Kagome's room before going to the well outside. Just as Kagome slid open the door two people walked up the stairs and into the shrine.
“Miss Higurashi, Miss Taijia, I didn't know that you both resided at this shrine,” said Shuichi in a somewhat surprised voice.
“Yes, it seems pretty particular that you do,” said Kaito.
“Well, what can I say,” said Kagome, cheerfully.
Sango whispered to Kagome, and she nodded and left into the well house. Sango walked up to the two boys, a couple inches shorter than both and smiled.
“Are you all here for a tour? I can get Grandpa to show you around,” said Sango.
“That would be a fine idea,” said Shuichi with a smile.
Sango flushed, “I'll be right back.”
Kagome came back out of the well house and smiled to Shuichi while going back into the house Sango had just went into. Grandpa was just walking out muttering random things and squeaked when he saw Shuichi and his red hair.
“Demon, begone!” yelled Grandpa throwing various sutras at Shuichi.
“Gramps!” yelled Kagome as she stopped him.
Sango came back out and helped Shuichi and Kaito pull off the sticky sutras. After the commotion Grandpa apologized and said that he would show them around for free this time around.
“Well, we've got to go,” said Kagome, “Hope to see you again sometime, Shuichi, Kaito.”
“That's too bad, we were hoping you could tell us more about that small house you disappeared into,” said Kaito.
“Oh, no need to worry about that old place, it's very dangerous, and Kagome needed to check on a new ancient item we received,” said Sango, Shuichi could see through her lie, but Kaito dismissed it.
Sango gave Mrs. Higurashi a hug, who was making dinner in the kitchen, along with Kagome before they both ran out of the house, and unknown to them Shuichi watched them enter the well house. He felt a shiver as he thought he saw a purple flash of light in the well house.
Shuichi looked over to Kaito who nodded, telling him that he knew what he felt.
“Let's start off with this, this is a very old shrine, and it was around since the Feudal Era, well, bits and pieces of it are,” stated Grandpa as he led the boys outside, sure that Sango and Kagome were in the past.
---
Kagome dropped down to the ground and fell on her rear end, while Sango landed gracefully next to her. Kagome smiled up at her.
“I can never get that right,” said Kagome, sheepishly.
Sango smiled, both had changed in the well house before coming. Sango was in her pink top with green skirt, but her exterminator garments underneath, and Kagome was in the traditional priestess garbs.
No sooner had they both climbed out of the well, the dog demon was in their faces. He glared at them, his golden eyes just a little intimidating.
“Where the hell were you guys?” questioned Inu-Yasha as he crossed his arms.
“Some friends had come over to visit the shrine, and it would have been suspicious if we had just told them we were going to the past, Inu-Yasha,” explained Kagome.
“Whatever, come on,” said Inu-Yasha as he turned his back to them and started walking to Kaede's village.
---
“So they just disappeared into that well house thing?” asked Kuwabara.
“Quite right,” said Kaito, sipping some of his latte.
“We both felt a surge of energy, so something unnatural certainly went on in that well house,” said Kurama, “The elder wouldn't let us go near it though, saying it was too dangerous. We had to comply.”
Yusuke nodded to himself, “I bet they never came out right?”
Kurama nodded, “Both of us took turns looking, so he wouldn't get suspicious. We don't want any trouble of course.”
“Why don't we round up Botan and Hiei and see what's going on?” asked Yusuke, “It could be like old times.”
Kuwabara sighed to himself, “Well, it's a long weekend,” he said.
Kurama nodded, “And though, Yusuke doesn't care about school, Kuwabara and myself will have time off. Besides, I'm sure Hiei would want to join in our little mission.”
Kaito grinned, “I have some things I need to accomplish this weekend, so the Spirit Detective Team will be together once more.”
---
“Well, it would be wise to check things out,” said Koenma.
Everyone had agreed to meet at Genkai's house, Hiei more or less. Kurama had just explained what had taken place, and why he followed the girls in the first place. They had a vague smell of demon on them and Kagome had a weird aura around her.
“That aura, had to be a priestess's aura,” said Koenma. “My dad has been talking about me visiting a shrine to see what's been going down, but I always put it off, but with these new developments, I'm sure father won't mind if I have a couple of old friends look into it.”
“That's gonna be awesome!” yelled Kuwabara standing up and throwing up his fists, “I can't wait to kick some demon ass! No offense to you guys of course.”
“As if you could,” said Hiei while Kurama replied with, “None taken.”
“What was that runt?!” yelled Kuwabara.
“Is your human hearing as bad as they say?” asked Hiei.
“I think you two missed each other way too much,” said Yusuke with a smile.
“I agree,” said Kurama.
“So, will you guys check out the shrine again for me? I want you all to go back with the two girls, or follow right after them or something,” said Koenma, “Botan will bring the compacts so I will be updating you with the info back here in the present.”
“Koenma,” said Kurama, stopping Koenma from leaving, “What do you believe this energy to be?”
“Well, my father said that there have been some instances where he thought there was a rip in time, and right now, I'm starting to think those instances are all connected,” said Koenma.
Kurama nodded.
---
“Well, this looks to be a pretty ordinary shrine!” claimed Botan as she lugged around the briefcase that had everything a Spirit Detective could need.
“Oh, you're back,” said a middle aged woman, “Is there anything I can help you with, Shuichi was it?”
“Yes, and I was hoping that my friends would be able to have a tour,” said Shuichi.
The woman smiled, and swept a little more, “My father went out with my son, I'm sorry. I could get Sango to help you since; Kagome's unavailable at the moment.”
“That would be fine, I actually wanted to clarify something on the biology test next week with her,” said Shuichi, casually.
“That's great,” said Mrs. Higurashi, “I'll go get her.”
Shuichi smiled, “The old well house over there,” he said, while the other four looked in that direction.
Yusuke walked over to it with Hiei and opened the door while Kuwabara stayed behind Kurama who was last in line. Botan pointed something at the well and nodded to herself putting it away.
“Uh, please don't go in there!” said Sango as she came running out and shut the door to the well right in their faces, “Sorry, it's very old and run down, and we wouldn't want anyone to get hurt.”
“Sorry, you could say that our curiosity spurred us to look,” said Shuichi.
“It's okay, is there anything you needed?” asked Sango.
“Well, we wanted to see a tour of this fabulous place!” said Botan, energetically.
Sango smiled, “I'm not as good as Grandpa, but follow me.”
---
“Yep, that's definitely a time rip,” said Koenma, “Dating back into the Feudal Era, to be exact.”
Botan nodded, “We have the okay to go and check it out then?”
“Of course,” said Koenma.
---
It was night and everyone was positioned in a tree near the well house waiting for Sango to go back. It was quite clear that Kagome was where ever the well had ended at, and Sango was about to go there.
She came out and sighed to herself as she lugged her book bag and other necessities out of the house and opened the well house door. She closed it behind her glancing at the tree, and not noticing anything unfamiliar. Without a second thought she jumped into the well.
“Let's move,” said Yusuke as he jumped out of the tree and raced into the well house, after they all felt the strange energy.
Kurama and Hiei followed him both landing equally gracefully, while Kuwabara fell out and Botan rode her oar. They stopped at the well and Yusuke gained some strength to jump in, Kurama following then Hiei and the rest.
---
Sango had just climbed out of the well when she looked back to see familiar green eyes gazing back up at her. She was startled and dropped Hiraikotsu and her stuff as the people jumped out of the well one by one.
“Shuichi? What are you doing here?” asked Sango.
---
Hope that's a good start for you guys.
