The Hit
Hello! I know my last chapter wasn't all that great, but I promise it'll get better. My muse returned from her hiatus. Maybe now she'll inspire me...
You can blame her for my last update.
Also, I've started a new fic called 'Love and War.' It's an original fic that me and a friend of mine began. I would greatly appreciate if you guys could take a look at it and tell me what you think. Leave a review for comments and what not. This is my first attempt at an original and it seems great to me, but my opinion is null.

Three weeks later, Kouga was paying bills at the kitchen table when he heard the doorbell. He was surprised at his visitor.
"Shishio! Good to see you." Kouga steps aside to let his younger brother in. Shishio steps in and removes his shoes.
"I came to visit you and ani. Is he around?" Shishio noticed Kouga's smile slip a bit.
"He's getting tutored by Kurama. He should be back later." he answered.
'Much later...' he thought to himself. Shishio thought it was best to change to topic, feeling the tension in the air.
"So Kouga-oniisan, how was your week?"
"It was...a bit...odd." Kouga rubs his arm in nervousness. Shishio places his hand gently on his arm. Kouga looks up and sees his worried face.
"Niisan, are you and Inuyasha having problems?" Kouga was taken back by the question, then looks away. "Do you want to talk about it?"
Kouga looks back at Shishio with unease. "It's probably nothing." He moves to the kitchen table, with Shishio following behind. "It's just that..." Shishio takes a seat next to Kouga. "I feel as if we're becoming distant."
"I'm sure it's normal. Your both married now; things are a bit bumpy in the beginning. It's only a phase."
Kouga gave his little brother a sympathetic smile. "I guess you're right..." he looks at the papers in front of him.
"This is about Kurama, isn't it?" Kouga quickly snapped his head to look at Shishio with amazement. His features calmed a bit, but still took on the look of shame.
"I know...I shouldn't feel this way. I know he's faithful to me, as I am to him. I'm just clingy is all." Kouga gave Shishio a small smile, but he could tell Shishio wasn't buying it.
"Are you sure?" he gave his older brother a skeptical look. Kouga chuckled.
"Yes, of course I am, Hato Chiisai*." Shishio eeped at the nickname.
"Wh-who told-"
"Aoji calls you that. I overheard him." Shishio turned a deep red shade.
"I'm glad you two found each other. I was getting a bit worried about you two."
Shishio smiled. "Thanks. You know, Kurama is really nice. Hiei is a bit quiet in a creepy way, but he seems alright. And Kurama smells really good." Kouga raised an eyebrow at his last comment.
"Huh?" Shishio gave him a sheepish smile.
"It's true. I know it's weird to say, but it's true. He smells like...roses. It's very calming."
Kouga flinched. 'Roses?! B-but...Inuyasha smelled like that too...'

"You must be joking?" Sora sat in the cushy executive seat at the board meeting of Archwolf Enterprises.
"Mrs. Nishida, our corporations would benefit from the merger. Our revenue would skyrocket with your well-known reputation of building exquisite-"
"Stop brown-nosing!" Sora cut off the dark grey suited associate.
"Sora, there is no need to be rude to our guests." Celestine chided her. Sora glared at the guests in spite.
"Your companies discrimminate against homosexuals and other racial groups! You have lawsuits and violations that would put Enron to shame! I refuse to use my share of the company and merge with a company who have such a record."
"But Mrs.Nishida," a woman in a black skirt suit spoke up. "Those charges are in the past-"
"Are you that ignorant of your own mistakes?! The majority of those lawsuits occured at least six months ago. I know someone personally who was harassed at one of your facilities solely because of his sexual orientation! So don't even TRY to justify yourselves!" The woman shrunk back into her seat and pursued her lips. Sora stood from her seat with a bit of help from her father.
"This meeting is over. Without the full agreement of my father and I, the merger will not happen. Good day." She headed for the door and left the meeting room. Celestine slowly stood from his seat.
"I'm sorry, but my daughter is correct. With only half of an agreement from us, we won't be able to merge with your company. Hopefully this won't put a damper on our business relationship."
A tall, slinky man with dark hair and glasses stood. "Of course not, Mr, De Los Lobos. We must be going now." The three guests left the meeting room and headed for the elevator. The woman spoke up as they entered.
"What now, Tokuya?! We needed their company and their assests!" the woman shook with rage.
"The only obstacle in our way from taking over the company is that bratty little bitch. She can be easily dealt with." Tokuya, the man with the dark hair and glasses, smirked.
When they got off the elevator, they headed to their limosine.
"Make arrangements with our other 'associates.' We will get that company." Tokuya stated.

Kurama was cooking in the kitchen while Hiei was setting the table for dinner. He heard a shriek come from the kitchen, and Hiei quickly went to go investigate.
"What's wrong?" Hiei's hand on the blade of his katana. Kurama was found on the island in the kitchen, pointing with a shaky finger. Hiei followed it's direction and let out a sigh of relief. He went over and picked up the troublemaker by its tail.
"It's just a mouse, kitsune." Hiei walked over to the front door and let the mouse loose outside. He closed the door and headed back to his fox, who was still recovering from the scare.
"The great Youko Kurama, scared of a common mouse." Hiei smirked at his lover. Kurama's faced scrunched up in sadness and started sobbing quietly. Hiei rubbed his mates protruding belly.
"Kitsune..."
"That's the fourth one I've seen this week! Not including the past month." Kurama's glassy emeralds looked down at his mate.
"Why didn't you say anything?" he asked, not ceasing his gentle strokes.
"I didn't want you to...make fun...and say my emotions...are just getting the better of me." Tears still poured down his face. Hiei lifted his lover's shirt and kissed his growing belly.
"I will never understand all these emotions, fox. I'm grateful for your presence." Kurama laughed a bit and stroked his mate's unruly hair.
"Hiei, I called an exterminator earlier. They're going to fumigate in a two days." Hiei looked up at his kitsune.
"So..."
"So, we'll need a place to stay for about a month." Kurama watched Hiei's eyes grow wide, then return to normal.
"And I'm guessing you already have a place in mind?"
"Yep, it's all arranged." They both turned to Inuyasha, who emerged from the bathroom. "I heard a scream. You saw another mouse?" Kurama nodded sheepishly. Inuyasha turned to Hiei. "I didn't hear you come in. Good to see you again, Hiei."
"Hn." Kurama slipped down off the island and turned off the burners.
"Inuyasha offered to let us stay with him until the fumigation is finished."
"I'm sure Kouga wouldn't mind." Inuyasha went to help Kurama in the kitchen. Hiei noticed their hands touch briefly as Kurama handed Inuyasha the bowl of salad.
"Let's eat, shall we? I'm famished." Kurama grinned.

Inuyasha didn't return until eleven at night. Kouga was sitting on the couch watching the evening news and looked up at his husband who stepped into the room.
"Sorry I'm late. Did I miss anything?" Inuyasha sat next to his husband and cuddled against him. Kouga could smell the scent of roses on him. Kouga began to stroke his husband's hair.
"You didn't miss anything, but I missed you." Kouga lifted Inuyasha's head and planted a chaste kiss on his lips, that soon became a fevered kiss. Inuyasha reacted just as equally, neither of the two realizing they moved to their bedroom, until Inuyasha remembered something.
"Kouga....nngh...w-we...aaah...need t-t-to....more.....talk." Somehow through their travel to the bedroom, Inuyasha misplaced his pants and Kouga lost his shirt, which revealed a well toned chest. Inuyasha was on his back, panting and moaning, while Kouga gave special attention to his now very erect manhood. Kouga placed a finger on Inuyasha's lips silencing him.
"That can wait until morning." he stated seductively. "I've missed you, koishii. We haven't made love in over three weeks." He lifts the remaining barrier between himself and Inuyasha, and peppers kissed along his abdomen. He slinks his way down to his previous location and continued where he left off.
'Has it really been that long?' Inuyasha's thoughts once again became jumbled as his manhood was receiving special treatment. "Ara..." he was left a gooey mess thanks to his husband.
'I'll make him forget about him...' Kouga thought to himself as he rotated his husband's globes in his dexterous fingers.

"...and Hiei are..." Inuyasha catched his breath and continued. "Staying here...for a while." Inuyasha was panting between each pause. Kouga's face became rigid.
"And you chose now to mention this?!" Kouga stood up and retrieved a pair of boxers, leaving a nude Inuyasha with an unfullfilled need. His member was painfully stiff and in need for release. He sat up and looked at his pissed off husband.
"And why didn't you discuss this with me?! We're partners in this relationship!" Kouga made sure to control his voice. Inuyasha's eyes started to fill with tears.
"I...didn't think...you would mind." He let a tear fall, then another and soon his face had trails of salty liquid. Kouga just stared at his husband and left the room, slamming a door downstairs.
"Kouga..." Inuyasha dragged himself out the bed and managed to start a hot shower.
'I know I chose a bad time to tell you, but why did you react like that?' The soft spray of water hit his skin and made his hair stick to his body. He reached down to his still stiff member and began pleasuring himself. It didn't take long before he climaxed, calling out his husband's name.
Kouga was downstairs taking his own shower, still seething from what happened earlier.
'How could he do that?! The whole point of this relationship is to make decisions together .' He lifted his face to the water when he heard Inuyasha yell something, but couldn't make out what it was.
'I know there's something more going on between them...but...I want to believe that he is loyal to me.'

Inuyasha slumped down in the shower stall, the water from the shower masking his tears. He curled into a fetal position in the shower stall, sobbing loudly. He never noticed that the water was turned off and a warmness wrapped around him. He clutched onto the body, fearing it was only a dream. He felt his hair being stroked, trying to soothe him.
Neither said anything, except for Inuyasha chanting apologies softly beneath his sobbing. Kouga settled for calming his husband, feeling guilty for his part in making his husband come to tears. They stayed like that for hours until it became chilly. Kouga lifted his husband into his arms and exited the shower stall and the bathroom. He gently placed him beneath the covers and slipped inside himself.
He brought Inuyasha close to his body, still feeling Inuyasha hiccup and sob against him. He stayed awake until his breathing became even. He then allowed his eyes to droop and close completely, and fell asleep soon after.
