     &nb sp;   Next Day...

"Kouga! Have you seen my schedule?" Inuyasha yelled out from their bedroom. He woke up late that morning and rushed to get himself ready.

"No I haven't." Kouga yelled back. He was busy making them both a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich. Inuyasha placed his bookbag and shoes by the door and sat at the table.

"Well, I guess I won't need it." Kouga placed the sandwiches on the table.

"If I find it, I'll let you know, okay?"

"Mfft ophf." Inuyasha was already stuffing his face.

"I'll take that as a 'yes'." Kouga chuckled and ate his breakfast. Inuyasha washed out his empty plate and briskly walked towards his husband. He placed a quick kiss on his cheek.

"I'll probably be home when Kurama arrives today. Behave yourself." he chided. Kouga turned towards him.

"Of course I will. Now get going. You'll be late if you don't. Aishiteiru, uda." Kouga leaned upwards and nuzzled his face with Inuyasha's.

"Mo aishiteiru, itoshii." Inuyasha stole a brief kiss and gathered his belongings and headed out the door. At the private high school where he worked there was a gymnastics competition, so classes were cancelled for that day. The high school was well known for it's superb athletes. He and Inuyasha planned to go see Shishio compete later on in the day.

Kouga decided to clean their apartment during his day off. He did the laundry, vacumed the carpet, prepared the guestroom downstairs and cleaned the bathrooms. While cleaning their bedroom, Kouga didn't notice a small paper sticking out behind thier nightable while vacuming. He just continued with his housecleaning. After all that, he finished some paperwork for his students when classes began again.

By the time he got finished with his tasks, it was going on three o'clock.

"They should be here soon." Kouga sat down tiredly onto the couch and laid across its cushions. He never noticed his eyes drooping shut.

&nb sp;  Shishio went to the gym locker room to prepare for the meet. He opened his locker, but was bunped into his fellow teammate. Shishio turned around and glared.

"You should watch where you're going." The boy smirked. Snickers could softly be heard in the locker room.

"Sorry, didn't realize I got in the way of your slime trail, Trent." Shishio smirked at the boy. Trent sneered at Shishio and slammed him against the locker by his collar.

"Watch your back, captain." Trent spat out the last word in disgust. "Maybe something might happen to you, and I'll take you place." It was known that if Shishio hadn't returned as their gymnastics team captain, Trent would have filled the position.

"Like you can really handle it." Shishio managed to break the hold on his collar by pressing a pressure point on Trent's arms. Trent grabbed his arms in pain while Shishio continued his previous activities.

"You little prick! We shouldn't have to look up to someone like you." Shishio turned around and glared at him.

"Someone like me? Care to explain?" Shishio's voice was monotone yet full of aggrivation. Trent stepped closer to him, clenching his jaw.

"Someone...who isn't a real man. Someone...who shouldn't be double-checked to see if he really has balls or not..." Trent chuckled and walked away from a seething Shishio. "Break a leg, girlie!" his teammates left laughing loudly at the last comment made by Trent.

'This is exactly why I didn't want to come back...' Shishio continued to get his uniform on for gymnastics and went out to the gym to blow off some steam.

&nb sp; "Alright, I'm ready." Kurama stood in front of Hiei with suitcase in tow. Hiei took the suitcase and looked at it oddly.

"Is this all you're taking?" he questioned.

"Yes. I will most likely buy what I need if necessary while we're there."

"Hn." Hiei picked up Kurama bridal style, suitcase and all, and walked onto their balcony. Kurama closed it behind them while in his mate's arms and a flicker of color was all that could be seen of them.

&n bsp;   Kouga was snoozing on the couch when the doorbell ring. He yawned loudly and stood up. He groggily walked to the door.

"We don't want any--" Kouga cut his sentence short once he realized who had arrived. "Oh, hey. Come in!" Kouga stepped aside to let his guests in. They removed their shoes and put down their luggage as the entered the apartment.

"Did we come at a bad time?" Kurama asked.

"Of course not. I was just getting a nap in. I've been cleaning the apartment for most of the day." he responded. Kurama looked around.

"You've done a wonderful job." Kouga scratched the back of his head and smiled sheepishly.

"I guess so. Thanks." Kouga looked towards Hiei. "It's good to see you again Hiei."

         "Hn."

"Is Inuyasha here yet?" Kurama asked. Kouga looked at his watch, which read three thirty.

"He should be here in three...two...one..." At that particular moment, the sound of keys unlocking the door was heard. They turned around and saw Inuyasha opening the door.

"Kurama! Hiei!" Inuyasha placed his bag down, took of his shoes and walked towards the new guests.

"Inuyasha!" Kurama responded. Hiei just nodded in acknowledgement.

"What time did you guys get here?" Inuyasha asked.

"They just arrived at least a minute ago." Kouga answered.

"I'm glad you guys decided to stay with us." Inuyasha looked at his husband, who smiled nodded in agreement.

"Thank you both for offering. I'm not sure what we would have done otherwise. My family isn't too accepting of my relationship with Hiei." Kurama lowered his head, so that his bangs covered his glassy emeralds. Kouga gave him a look of pity.

"I'm guessing they don't even now that..." Kurama vigorously shook his head.

"I want to tell them, oh so badly, but..." the tears on the brim of his eyelids were escaping. Inuyasha hugged Kurama in an attempt to calm his friend.

"I know how you feel." he softly said to him. "No more tears. You have to be strong for your child." Inuyasha pulled back and looked into glassy orbs. He began to wipe away tear trails on his face. "It's going to be okay. Your going to hold your child in your arms, and then nothing else will matter."

Kurama sniffed and nodded. "You're absolutely right." Kurama looked at the others. "I'm sorry. Sometimes my emotions get the better of me. Are you sure you still want to put up with me?"

"Of course we do. Don't worry about anything. I get lots of practice with Sora." Kouga responded.

'You're going to need it...' Inuyasha thought to himself, with a small smile appearing on his face.

         *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

&nbs p; Everyone was present at the gymnastics meet, minus Kurama and Hiei who opted to stay at the apartment. Aoji kept his gaze on the gym floor in anticipation of seeing his Hato Chiisai (AN: I may not have explained the meaning of this. It means 'Small Dove'). Sora had one of each item from the concession stand, and was not going to share any of it.

"I can't wait to see him in action!" Sora said. She then took a bite out of her hotdog with the works. Celestine looked at his daughter.

"I thought you didn't like pickles?" She looked up at her father, then at her hotdog, and then back at Celestine. She just shrugged and happily continued eating the hotdog. Celestine shook his head and looked at his daughter longingly.

'My little girl...' he thought to himself. Sesshoumaru turned to Aoji, who never took his eyes off the gyn floor, afraid he might miss something, or rather someone.

"Can't wait to see him?" Aoji nodded, never breaking his gaze.

"I've seen him practice on occasion. He is truly amazing."

The teams came out in single file, from shortest to tallest. Aoji smiled when he saw his beloved come out in his blue and white uniform. He had a ponytail at the base of his neck and bands constricting his hair. After the warm ups, the teams began the competition. The family was amazed at how the athletes were so graceful on the apparatus'.

Finally, it was Shishio's turn on the pommel horse. Inuyasha and Sora were the loudest of the group. Aoji narrowed his eyes when he caught one of Shishio's teammates trip Shishio, making him stumble while walking. Shishio gave Trent a rueful glare.

Shishio saluted the judges and began his routine. The performed with such speed and grace, and not once did any other part of his body besides his hands touch the apparatus.

"Wow...by Ara..."Kouga stared in awe at his little brother's performance. Sora slowly chewed on her nachos with cheese as she watched.

'Beloved...' Aoji watched Shishio finish his routine. The entire audience stood up at the end of his routine. Trent looked around the crowd and scowled.

"That was amazing!" Celestine said. Sesshoumaru nodded in agreement. Shishio received a perfect ten for his performance, and received the same score for the high bar.

When the meet was over, Shishio ran over to his family. Aoji embraced him. Shishio turned to the rest of his family.

"We are very proud of you, otouto-chan." Sora said to him. She opened her arms and he hugged her also.

"I'm glad you're all proud of me."

"That was awesome! I could never do that!" Inuyasha stated. Shishio pulled away to look at him.

"Thanks. I need to go into the locker room and change."

"We'll wait for you here then." Celestine said. Shishio nodded and ran off.

When Shishio entered, he felt an extreme pain to the back of his neck. He fell down hard onto the cold floor. He managed to turn around with squinted eyes and saw Trent hovering above him.

"So, you want to make me look bad, do you?" Shishio felt someone else lift him up and tie him to the bench in the locker room and gag him. They soon left, leaving a prone Shishio and Trent alone.

'What's happening?!' Shishio was trying his best to stay awake. He saw a slender, silver object being swung around from his limited eyesight. He then felt an excrutiation pain hit his back with so much force. Shishio screamed into the gag. Trent placed the weapon used in front of Shishio's head. Shishio saw a silver bat through his blurred vision.

Trent took out his switchblade and opened the blade with a click. Shishio reckognized that sound and feared the worst.

         "Time for fun."
