Sango awoke with a banging head ache. "Hang over my ass… this is worse than that." she groaned as she stumbled into the shower. It did not take her too long take her shower and she dried up self up and put on a robe and walked down stairs. She was met with a pair of loving brown eyes of Mrs. Higurashi.
- Sango-chan, you want some coffee? asked Mrs. Higurashi.
- Yeah, that would taste good, groaned Sango.
- What happened?
- I don't know.. But I think I promised a demon to move in with him.
- WHAT??
- You know I have trouble with living in this era, I want to play rough, and he offered me an opportunity and I could not say no to it, said Sango and sipped the coffee she had been given.
- I understand Sango-chan, but is it safe? asked her new mama.
- No, probably not, but I don't want it to be safe, I need this mama, said Sango.
- Ok, but I want you to call me often. I want to hear that you are ok, said Miyuki.
- I will mama, said Sango and kissed her adoptive mother's cheek. - I better get packing then if I want to make it in time.
- Do you need any help?
- I don't have much, so I think I will manage, but thanks anyway.
- Just tell me if you need any help, said Miyuki.
- Ok mama I will.
Sango rushed upstairs to her room and began her packing. "I am thirty years old and still live with my mother, this is pathetic.." she thought but she was not unhappy with it. She loved Miyuki as a real mother and she had loved staying around her. But times changed, even if she did not. And Hiei had given her a chance to blow some steam off and she was going to take it. "You are playing with fire." said a silent voice inside her head and she nodded in consent to that. This was not something you usually did, but Sango was not you average woman either.
♥Three heavy bags later ♥
She looked over the room one last time before taking her bags downstairs. She fished up the card the demon had gave her last night and she dialled his number. She was met with a raspy sound.
- Hey demon, get your ass out of bed and come and pick me up, snorted Sango.
- What?? he mumbled.
- Don't you remember, fuck and here I was thinking that you would be sitting on needles to come and pick me up.
- Who are you bitch? snarled one angry fire demon.
- Hey, hey… don't we agreed to call each other by name??
- Sango?
- Yes that's right, Sango… Come and pick me up now!!
- Pick you up??
- Shit, are you having a case of amnesia or what??? You said I could come and live with you so we both could get some serious training.
Hiei rose from the bed and rubbed the back of his head. "Who the hell is this chick anyway?" he thought. Then he remembered, he had met the last of the taijya's last night and he had promised her to come and live with him so she could get some rough training.
- Hey Sango, you are up and awake already? He muffled out.
- Yeah, what did you think demon?
- That you would be dead to the world for at least 36 hrs or so, he said raggedly.
- Hell no, come on, get out of bed and pick me up. I am waiting for some serious demon ass beating, said Sango with a voice so cheery that she hardly recognized it as her own.
- Yeah, yeah.. keep your panties on baby, he mumbled and hooked up.
Sango wanted to retaliate but she only got a tone in her ear. "Fuck, I will get you for that statement demon." she thought.
Miyuki saw her adoptive daughter's vicious smile and she shuddered and began making some coffee. She had heard some parts of the dialog Sango had with the other person and she wondered how long the demon was going to put up with the slayer. She was foul mouthed like a sailor and she hardly ever blushed anymore. Sango had turned from being a timid little girl to a grown up woman. Miyuki had often feared that Sango would get her self in trouble, but if she had been in trouble she always managed to get out in one piece.
But there had always been a fire inside Sango that Miyuki had trouble of releasing, perhaps this person, this demon, could help her daughter with it?
Sango got her self a cup and poured some black coffee into it. This was probably the best thing that the modern era had produced. Coffee, who ever could live without it?
- Sango-chan, who is this person anyway? asked Miyuki and got her a cup of coffee too.
- His name is Hiei, he is rude and impolite but he does not fear me.
- Is that important to you Sango-chan? Is it important that he does not fear you?
- Yes, all the other males here in the modern day hate a woman who is stronger than themselves. Remember when Hojo-kun saw me in action, he never showed up here again.
Sango laughed bitterly at the memory. She had been training in the yard when Kagome's old friend had come over for a surprise visit. She had jumped him and as soon as he got up on his feet again he had stumbled down the stairs never to return to the Sunset shrine again.
- Yeah it is important, sighed Sango and sipped her coffee.
- And this Hiei…?
- He is a demon, what kind of demon I don't know yet, but it does not matter as long as I can get my fighting skills back on track again.
- I am worried for you Sango-chan, said Miyuki and walked over to her adoptive daughter.
- Don't be mother; this is exactly what I need. If I can not have this I will go back to the Senko Jidai and exterminate demons again.
- You can not, the well is sealed remember.
Sango growled and pushed back a few angry tears. Of course she remembered, she just had forgotten it for a few minutes. She felt a ripple inside her soul and she kissed her mother's cheek.
- He is here. I will call you as soon as I am settled in the new place ok mama?
- Be careful my daughter, said Miyuki.
- I will mama. Good bye.
- Good bye.
Sango grabbed her bags and rushed down the stairs towards the black car and Hiei, the demon.
