Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction / InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Youko Kurama ❯ The Girl Who Overcame Time.......And The Fox Who Was Sealed Away.....Part.2 ( Chapter 2 )
HMF: Hey my friends! I finally finished the second part of the first episode. Sorry if Youko is a little OOC. It's not my fault. Ok so maybe it is, at times. Oh, and since I have school, evil teachers that give out homework, and Orchestra. I will update at least every weekend with one or two chapters. So guys, don't get mad at me. * hides behind desk * In later chapters….Kurama (in Shuuichi form) will come in. Don't worry, it's still going to be Youko/Kagome.
Hiei: Stop babbling and get on with the story! We don't need to hear what you say.
HMF: Temper, temper. I will, after more babbling. One more thing, since people don't really like the songs there, I am going to take them off. Hiei, will you say the disclaimer?
Hiei: No.
HMF: Then no sweet snow.
Hiei: HMF doesn't own Inuyasha or Yu Yu Hakusho! *devours sweet snow*
HMF: I wish I did. v_v Cause I WANT Kurama. Wait, where is Kurama?

Episode 1 (still)
The Girl Who Overcame Time………And The Fox Who Was Sealed Away Part 2
~*500 years*~
A fourteen-year old girl with black raven hair and chocolate eyes was listening to her grandfather lecture her. Not that she was listening. She held a blue round jewel from a chain. The jewel looked exactly like the `Shikon No Tama', but it was fake.
Her cat, Buyo was tapping it with it's paws. Buyo had white and orange hair. As the cat toyed with it, the teenage girl jumped when her grandfather yelled her name.
"Kagome, are you listening to me?" he asked a bit angry.
"Huh? Oh, yes Jii-chan." Kagome answered almost sounding innocent.
"Ahem, listen carefully, Kagome" her grandfather started "This jewel has been the story since old times. With these, business will flourish."
"Jii-chan, aside from that, do you know what day tomorrow is?" Kagome asked with delight.
Her grandfather sweatdropped and answered "Of course, how could I forget my cute grandaughter's birthday." He chuckled to himself.
"Oooh, present!" she said eagerly.
Her grandfather dug into a big box searching for her present. He finally found it and took out a smaller box. He handed it to Kagome, who took it with sheer happiness. Thinking it was something very good.
As she opened the box, she stared at the present. Clearly dumbfounded. She seemed to get a bit angry. `Jii-chan and his stupid superstitions crap!'
"It is a mummified Kappa's (demon or goblin) hand that brings good luck. (you've got to be kidding) It's history is……" her grandfather explained.
Kagome didn't want to listen or have the Kappa's hand. Especially if it was mummified. She handed it to Buyo not caring what the cat did with it, just as long as it was out of her sight.
"Eat it, Buyo!"
Buyo stared at her then let his gaze go down to the hand. He clamped his mouth on it and walked away with his tail twitching left and right.
"Aa! Hey! What a waste!" yelled her grandfather as he fell on his face trying to get it back.
`History….is that history?' Kagome thought `My house is a very old shrine.'
~At dinner time~
Her grandfather lectured her while holding a pickle with his chopsticks. (strange, ne?)
"Yes, the pickles history starts with…."
"Weren't they from Ujiko-san?" interrupted Kagome, narrowing her eyes.
Her brother and her mother watched as they bickered. Her grandfather sweatdropped once again because of her statement.
`A one-thousand year old temple…..and concealed well that might have history…..everything supposed to have a story behind it. Several people ask about it, but I didn't really think much of it…..to this day, my fifteenth birthday.' Kagome thought that night.
~Next day~
Kagome got ready for school as usual. She wore her school uniform, a white shirt with a green collar and red little tie. A short, green, skirt and brown shoes. Her mother told her something before she left.
"Kagome, it's from your friend!"
"Rehearsal not? Alright, I'll bring it today. I got it!" Kagome told her mother.
Kagome opened the door to her house. (or that slide door kind of thing.) "I'm going now!" she yelled.
Kagome ran out, forgetting to shut the door, she ran back and shut it. She ran through the shrine until she spotted Souta at the well house.
"Huh, Souta?" her brother turned around holding a bowl of cat food.
"Sis…."
"You know you shouldn't play here." Kagome stated as a matter-of-factly. She walked toward the well house, setting her bookbag down.
"But Buyo is…." Souta pouted.
"Inside the concealed well?" Kagome questioned.
"Buyo!" her brother called "I thought I saw him down there."
"Let's go down." Kagome stated, now a little annoyed at this game. She needed to get to school to do this math test. She really wanted to get a good grade in it.
"But this place feels creepy." Souta whined.
"What are you scared of…..aren't you a man?" she said as she kneeled next to her brother tired of standing.
Something started scratching at the well. Souta ran behind Kaagome as if she were a shield. Kagome didn't seem to notice, much less care.
"Something is there!" Souta screeched.
"That's why it is a cat! Really!"
Kagome stood up and walked down the steps towards the well. She stopped in her tracks, finally noticing the scratching from inside the well.
`What's this sound? Huh? From inside the well?' Kagome thought a little scared.
She screamed as something rubbed against her leg. Her brother fell on his butt ultimately afraid. Then looked at what it was, confused.
"Buyo!" Souta exclaimed.
The cat meowed as Kagome stepped away and picked up the cat. She cuddled it a bit and held it out.
"Aa, that was scary. Don't shout so loud, sis." Souta said relieved.
"You! I found the cat for you!" Kagome retorted.
Souta quickly arose as he saw a bright light from the cracks of the concealed well.
"Sis!"
The well's concealment broke as Kagome didn't notice one bit. Bits of wood flied through the air behind her. Four arms grabbed Kagome as she dropped the cat. She was to shocked to move as she was pulled onto the well.
Souta all this in a horror faced state. Buyo landed on his feet to look back at her.
"Sis!!" her brother shouted.
A blue light surrounded Kagome and what had grabbed her. The thing turned Kagome to face it. It was a demon with long, black, hair and six arms. It wore no clothing. Kagome got out of her shocked state and stared at the demon. The demon opened it's mouth to speak.
"How wonderful! I can feel my strength overflowing. My body is coming back!"
Kagome identified it was a girl centipede demon. A very large one at that. This was no baby demon. It's body came back, pieces by pieces. Kagome stuggled as the demon pulled her closer.
"You must have it! You have it!" the demon said as she licked Kagome's cheek with her tongue. (gross!!) Kagome was so grossed out.
"Let me go! This is disgusting! Let go!" Kagome yelled.
She stuck out her hand to the demon's face. A bright pink light came from her hand. The demon let go of her, one arm broke off still holding onto Kagome's shirt.
The demon fell into the depths of the blue light yelling out.
"You….I am not going to let you go! Shikon No Tama!!"
"Sh….Shikon No Tama?" Kagome whispered quietly to herself, she floated down into what looked like the inside of the well.
Kagome breathed hard. The arm had let go of her and landed behind her.
"This place is…..inside the well?" she asked herself.
`What was that? A dream….' She looked around and spotted the demon's arm next to her.
"It wasn't a dream! I have to get out of here!" she told herself, very determined. "Souta, aren't you up there? Go bring Jii-chan! Darn, he must have run away."
Kagome climbed up the well with some help of vines that were growing inside of it. A beautiful white butterfly flew in front of her face, leaving Kagome confused.
As Kagome exited the well, there was no shrine nearby. Just a beautiful, evergreen, forest. She looked around a few minutes before jumping off the well she was sitting on.
`This place is……..I was pulled into the ancestral shrine..' "Jii-chan? Mama? Jii-chan! Mama!" Kagome yelled till her voice was a whisper "Souta, Buyo!"
She walked through the forest muttering to herself, " Our temple has vanished." She then looked up to see something familier, "The Goshinbuko Tree!"
Kagome ran toward it happily. `I am saved! Our house should be around here!'
Much to her happiness, her house wasn't near. Only a silver fox demon pinned to the tree, vines growing around it.
"A boy……?"
The boy, or what she thought was, had long silver hair to his waist, he wore a full white outfit along with matching shoes. He also had cute, triangular, white ears atop his head, which Kagome didn't notice yet. And last but not least, his long, silver, tail.
"Uh…..what are you doing?" Kagome asked as she climbed up the big vines so she could get a closer look of him. That was when she noticed his kawaii ears. She squealed in delight. "This……" `Those aren't human ears.'
Her hands extended outwards as if they had a mind of their own. `I want to touch them!' (ME TOO!!) Kagome rubbed the ears for a bit. They were very soft. She let go after getting bored of rubbing his ears. Besides, he didn't seem to wake up at that. Kagome then tugged on his tail, seeing if it was real or not. It was real.
"Haa, I don't have time to do this." Kagome sighed.
"What are you doing there!?" yelled a voice as mny arrows were aimed at her. Kagome turned around and freaked out.
They released the arrows on command. Kagome clung to the fox demon for dear life. The arrows missed their target as they only went around the fox.
"Eeek!" Kagome screeched.
She looked up to see the men with their bow and arrows run towards her. She had been surrounded by them.
"Ee." Was what she said as she put on a surprised, shocked, confused face on.
~In a village~
Kagome still had on the same look. She was sitting on a mat, her hands and ankles were tied up. All the villagers gathered around to take a look at her.
"Wait a minute! You didn't have to tie me up!" Kagome shouted.
"It's a girl wearing a strange kimono!" said a villager.
"Is she a foreigner?" asked one.
"Could it be war again?" asked another.
"Right before planting season? We are already short of man power…"
"Perhaps she is a fox in disguise." Stated a woman holding her child.
"That is much better than a war."
`Ma-ge. Every man has a ma-ge. What is this place?' Kagome asked herself.
"Clear the way! Kaede-sama has arrived!" announced a villager man.
A old lady with a bow holding her up, walked towards Kagome. She wore a red and white miko's garb on and a black patch covering her right eye.
`Huh? Another weirdo has appeared.' (that's mean to say)
Kagome stared up at the old lady, glaring at her as she wondered what would happen next. The old one threw some sort of dust at Kagome.
"Really! What is the meaning of this!?" Kagome shouted.
"Huh? Since you were at Youko Kurama's Forest, I thought you might be a spector or mononoke." The old one replied.
`Youko Kurama. I think I have heard that name before. Jii-chan said something about him, but what?' Kagome pondered.
"Maybe she really is a spy from the other country." The man beside the old one said.
"Nonsense. There is no reason to attack this town. We are barely surviving as it is."
The old one looked at Kagome's stern face. She then noticed something that resembled to her sis.
"You! Let me see your face clearly!"
She took Kagome's face and began observing it. Turning Kagome's head left and right, got Kagome irritated.
"A little more! Try to look serious!" she ordered.
Kagome was losing her patience. `Really old woman!'
The old one let go of Kagome's head. After a couple moments of silence she spoke.
"You resemble……Kikyou sis!" she stated, earning gasps from the villagers.
~That night~
Kagome was at the old one's house now identified as Kaede. Kaede sat cooking dinner over a fire in a cauldron type thing. Kagome broke the silence by speaking.
"How do I get back home?"
"Where is ye home, child?"
"In Tokyo." (I don't know where she lives, so just go with it)
"What's Tokyo?"
`I should have known.' Kagome thought as she groaned. "Well, what's the date?"
"Why would ye ask such a silly question? It's the feudal era now."
"What!?!?" Kagome practically screamed. `Great, I got transported back in time by the well. Can anything else get worse?'
Just on cue, they heard a loud crash and people screaming and yelling. Kagome ran outside with Kaede who had her bow and arrows. Village men were attacking that centipede demon that dragged Kagome down the well.
"Where's the Shikon No Tama? I want it now!" yelled the demon.
"Oh no! It's a monnonoke! And the Shikon No Tama has been gone for over fifty years. How could it be back?" Kaede asked no one in particular.
"Aw man, it's that wench again. I was hoping she was gone for good." Kagome complained.
The demon saw Kagome and tried to attack her. Kaede readied her arrow and shot at the demon. The demon paid no heed to her and continued to rush after Kagome.
"Run child!" Kaede yelled to Kagome.
Kagome didn't hesitate and ran for her life. She jumped into a riverbed and went up a hill towards Youko Kurama's Forest.
Kaede watched amazed. `How can she see through Youko's forest? Only few could do that.' Kaede jumped onto a horse a village man had readied for her. She took off following Kagome with many men behind her.
Kagome still running from the demon screamed in her head, `Mama! Jii-chan! Souta! Help!!' knowing that it wouldn't do any good she screamed at the top of her lungs.
"SOMEBODY HELP!!!"
~In the forest~
Youko Kurama's heart started to beat. As if Kagome's plea for help had awoken him from his slumber. Asleep for fifty years and now back again. Kagome stmbled in the clearing of the Goshinbuko Tree.
Youko opened his eyes at her scent. His golden eyes reflected off the night time moon. There lay Kikyou, is what he thought who it was.
"Oi! Kikyou, are you here to kill me again?" Youko yelled. (does that even make sense? It was from the video as I remember it)
Kagome heard the deep, sly, voice, she turned her head to face him. `He spoke, but he was-` The demon burst from the trees interrupting Kagome from finishing her thoughts. Arrows shot out from the trees with long ropes. The demon was pulled back into the whisp (is that even a word?) of trees.
"Oi! Kikyou, have you turned into a wimp? You've taken on larger demons than that." Youko stated, grinning.
Kagome stood up abruptly. `Kikyou? Who the hell is Kikyou?' She stomped over to Youko who was still pinned to the Goshinbuko Tree.
"Kikyou? I am not Kikyou!" Kagome yelled in his face, making sure he heard every word, "I am Kagome! KA-GO-ME!"
"Stop lying. Nobody smells as nad as-" Youko sniffed again and found it wasn't Kikyou. He looked at her face. Her scent was different, more enticing to him. Youko lowered his ears to his head.
"Well Kikyou was more feminine and…….beautiful." he said, totally lying to himself. Kagome was the one beautiful in his eyes.
Kagome was mad at what Youko had said. `Why that insolent jerk!?' Kagome didn't even notice the demon lady's aura coming closer to her.
"It comes." Youko said calmly.
The demon came from above the tree. Itbit down on Kogome's side and threw her in the air. Blood spilled from Kagome as the `Shikon No Tama' was flying beside her.
`Shikon No Tama……..was inside me?'Kagome asked herself.
Kagome bounced down the demon's long body and landed flat on her stomach. Just as the Shikon jewel landed in front of her, she reached out to try to grab it.
The demon seeing this, moved her body to where Kagome was squeezed into Youko. (I wish I was her) Youko blushed a tint of red, very faint but noticeable. Youko brushed it off and put on his stoic mask again. Kagome was in pain and Youko for some reason wanted to help her.
"Hahaha! Now I have the `Shikon No Tama'. And you, half-breed, can't do anything about it. Once I swallow this down, I'll kill these humans and then I'll have you all to myself!" the demon laughed. (this is Youko O.O;)
"Yuck! Who would wanna be with someone as ugly as you? Probably no one." Youko said, disgusted by the idea of being with that thing.
"You'll regret that answer Youko! Now just watch and enjoy the show."
She licked up the ball with her tongue and swallowed it. She began to change into this more uglier demon than before. Her skin was dark purple with spots of pink. She had red eyes and her teeth got sharper. Her arms reverted back to her.
"I feel the power!" the demon screamed.
Youko then got an idea on how to help Kagome.
"Hey!" he said, "Can you pull this arrow out?"
Kagome looked at him. She blinked then asked, "Are you strong?"
"Yes, now are you going to pull out the arrow or do you want to die here?"
`No, I don't want to die here like this!' Kaogome thought. Kagome reached up to pull the arrow out of his shoulder. She flinched as the demon began to tighten around her.
Kagome cried out in pain as the demon pulled her down, again tightening even more around her. Youko began to get really angry. Kagome kept telling herself she doesn't want to die here, she finally got a hold of the arrow and began to pull on it.
Kaede rode up on her horse to see Youko Kurama alive. `How can this be? My sister sealed him up!' Kaede saw what Kagome was doing and called out to her, "No kagome! Don't release him!"
Kagome ignored her as she kept pulling on the arrow. A pink light emitted from her hand as the arrow vanished. She looked up to see Youko's face.
"You……ko…..Kura…..ma." she said slowly.
Youko's heart began to beat faster. He started to laugh evilly. He was going to slice this centipede demon into pieces.
The demon looked up at the half-bred. She had fear in her eyes, then wrapped her body all around Youko and Kagome hoping it would help. (Youko's gonna kill her! * does happy dance * Youko's gonna kill her! ^_^) But it didn't.
A bright yellow light shone through the cracks as a yell was heard.
"ROSE WHIP!!" (I love this weapon!)
The demon was in pieces. Kagome fell to the ground surrounded by falling pieces of flesh. (ewwwwww!!) Youko stood near Kagome tall and proud with his favorite weapon in hand.
Kaede walked over to Kagome and said, "Hurry, find the jewel before she reverts back together!"
"You've got to be kidding me!" Kagome stuttered, grossed out at the fact she had to touch the demon's insides to get it.
The demon started to squirm and move its legs which made Kagome jump horrified.
"Where is the jewel then, child?" Kaede sighed. `What is so bad about touching a demon's insides?'
Kagome looked around until she spotted something pink and round. She pointed towards the spot as Kaede walked over and plucked it out of the flesh. Kagome felt sick as if she was going to throw-up. All the demon's body parts dissolved until nothing was left but bones.
Kaede held out the jewel to Kagome, who in response lifted her hands as Kaede dropped it there. Kagome blinked confused with what to do with it.
"What am I supposed to do with it?" Kagome asked.
"It is yours. It was born in your body since you were born. You are it's protecter and it seems as if you are a miko also." replied Kaede.
Youko walked up and stomped on a bone crushing it, gaining their attention. He had a smirk on his face, which meant something bad.
"Give me the Shikon jewel!" Youko demanded, and it wasn't the only thing he wanted.
`Eh!! This guy isn't a hero!' Kagome thought.
"Don't let him have it Kagome!" Kaede said.
"It's not like ningens would need it, so just hand it over. I could make very good use with it, or else!" Youko threatened. Not that he wanted to hurt the girl for one reason or another. (Youko's got a crush! Youko's got a crush! ^_^)
"Kagome run! Make sure he doesn't get the jwewl. I'll be able to hold him off for a bit!" Kaede stated.
Kagome did as she was told and ran off.
