"Were here!"yelled the captain
"Wow we got here that fast, the ships are gettin faster"said the impressed Yusuke. "Don't get too excited Yusuke, This year the opening ceremony applies to us, unlike when we were special guests!"said Hiei in a tone that could only be described as 'duh'.
"There are opening ceremonys in these competitions?"asked Aioshi."ofcourse there are, these are very civilized competitions when you get right down to it, but remember no matter what they say the most important rule is 'the strongest win'."said Hiei in a rather aloof voice.
"Were docking so when the ship gets tied everyone get the hell off, your smell is making me sick!"said the agitated captain.
"Hello everyone I'm guessing you passed the preliminaries?"asked the joking Koenma. "Yep just tell me do they have any casino's or saki on this island?"asked the eager Zanza."Acctually when you go to the hotel a little later they may have both, but first we have to go through the opening ceremony and find out who your first opponents are."said Koenma hurredly"so C'mon the ceremonys are about to begin!"

"HELLO EVERYONE!!!"said a pretty and chipper young kitsune."I'm Koto and I'll be the senior judge this year at the dark tournament!""And I'm Jury, The assistant judge at this tournament!"said an also pretty demon.
"Well atleast there's some scenery while fighting, right guys!?"said Zanza"SHHHH"replied Koenma "Wait until the ceremony is over to voice your hormones!"
"Let the ceremony begin!"said Koto, still excited. "First I'll tell you this years rules."
"I wonder if that fox wants it doggy style."said Zanza
"If you don't shut up I will make you eat your tongue, we need to know these rules just in case there were changes fool"said the obviously sleep deprived Hiei."Alright alright, geeez, but I'll bet she would!"
"Rule#1: If your outside of the ring for 10 seconds you lose."
"Rule#2: You can't give up, you have to take the pain."
"Rule#3: Weapons are aloud"
"And Rule#4: If you die or are on the ground for 10 seconds you lose"
"Finally, I have really good hearing and you aint man enough to take me doggy style!"
The crowed of demons and even his companions all laughed at the now embarassed Zanza
"You know what you just aint women enough to handle me"said Zanza in retaliation.
"Now look were not here to argue, so everyone calm down so we can continue the ceremony, okay?"asked the calm, cool headed Kurama.
"He's right now let's anounce the matches chosen at random by Jury!"
About 4 matches announced later..."Team Urameshi goes against Team Crimson!"
"Finally, can we go now?"asked the impatient Zanza. "Yes, all of this excitement is making it difficult to focus and mentally prepare for battle."said Hiko in a calm voice. "Ofcourse we can. Lets go to the hotel."said Koenma.
"Is that the hotel?"asked Bottousai in a polite tone. "Yes, thats it" said Koenma. "Wow the makai has nice hotels!"said Zanza
"I can't believe you almost started a fight with one of the judges"said the laughing Kuwabara. "She started it, I was just defending myself!"said the still slightly upset Zanza.
"Good news Everyone!"said Botan, who just kinda poped out of nowhere. "What is it?"asked everyone in unison. "It's Misao, we found her!"said the happy botan. "Really where is she?"asked the now excited Aioshi. "About 20 seconds behind me!"
"Hi everyone!"yelled the out of breath Misao. "Misao!"yelled Aioshi hugging the young girl like the weight on his shoulders had been lifted.
"As touching as this is, lets get inside."said the now bored Zanza. "Good idea"agreed everyone. "those two will probibly need a room anyway!"said the hysterically laughing Yusuke.
"Everyone get some sleep and don't complain about lack of it tomorrow!"said the tired Hiei.
Everyone obeyed and went to sleep.

Then, as if no time passed at all everyone awoke to the sound of a voice on a megaphone.
"TODAY BEGINS THE DARK TOURNAMENT FIRST ROUND!!!"
"Let the games begin!"
"Round 1 START"
