Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction / Sailor Moon Fan Fiction ❯ The Mistress ❯ If only they knew..... ( Chapter 11 )
The silence was so thick it could've been cut with a knife. The spirit detectives were lined up on one side of the room all in whatever position they found best to be, the Sailors were on the other side waiting for Ami to finish tending to Kiara's wounds and the four newcomers were on another wall doing whatever seemed best for them. Everyone couldn't help but look at the fours strangers in aw… The one that had spoken to Kurama when he found Kiara had long blonde hair but two stray pieces stayed in his face with a red kind of hue to it. The one to his left was a heavy looking kind of guy. He has short, spiky pale blonde hair and quite frankly he looked like he had more brawn then brain. The one of the far left also looked kind of hefty and he had spiky green hair on the top and what looked like to be a small pigtail in the back of his head. He not only looked like he had brawn but he had the brain behind it to keep the tough guy look going. The final on sitting on the floor was rather tall and a bit lanky and his black hair was hidden under a blue cap and he had the goatee thing going on with the facial hair.
"Alright, I can' take the silence!" Serena finally cracked. "Who are you guys and how did you come across Kiara."
"The girl seemed to have been running from some thing…" The thick stupid one said.
"More like someone." The blonde spoke up. "Me and my friends here were just coming back to ningenkai… or the living world when we heard a scream."
"And Aku here couldn't leave a damsel in distress…" The tall lanky one said making the blonde smile.
"More like her scream was ear piercing and I wanted her to shut up. She was on the verge of passing out when she begged us to bring her back to the human world because someone special was left here and she needed to repay them." He said making Kurama's eye twitch a bit.
"I see… but you still haven't provided us with your names other than Aku."
"We're not one to just give out our names, but nicknames should be enough." Aku said tucking the reddish locks back only to have them fall back in place.
"He's CUTE!!!" Mina squealed to her friends making them all sweatdrop.
"I'm Gen…" The fat stupid one said.
"Yako…" The taller big one said.
"Just call me Sei." The lanky one spoke.
"So why have you four come to ningenkai anyway?" Yusuke asked.
"Just to understand the human race better..." Sei said.
"All our lives we have been outsiders to our families and well ironically we've heard of this strange emotion called love. We wanted to see this emotion for ourselves before deciding if the humans are obsolete as many apparitions say." Aku said making Mina jump up.
"Well, I am the specialist of love and I'm pretty sure I can change your mind about humans being obsolete!" She latched herself to his arm before leading him away. "So Aku you're an apparition from the spirit world totally awesome. What kind of powers do you possess?" She began talking at 20MPH and amazingly it seemed Aku followed ever word.
"Well, we won't see him until later…" Rei said and everyone nodded in agreement.
"I guess for once Meatball head's gotten the right idea." Rei sighed looking at the blonde asleep with her head on Darien's lap. Darien looked at his angel gently stroking her hair while silently praying she wouldn't begin to drool just yet.
"Yusuke you should rest a little too…" Keiko said in the most concerned voice she had. Yusuke looked at her then at the group seeing how everyone, but Kurama had, made themselves comfortable on the way to sleep, even Hiei found a corner dark enough for him to sleep.
"Whatever…" He sighed taking one of the few blankets Lita had brought.
The minutes seemed like years when everyone was finally asleep… almost everyone. Kurama looked at the Sailor scouts asleep in one corner of the room surrounding Darien and Serena. The four newcomers disliked the idea of sleeping in the same room with everyone so they slept outside, Hiei could bare be seen in his dark corner (one that just so happened to be near Lita) while Yusuke and Keiko were leaned up against the wall sharing a blanket, and in the middle of the room was her. Covered in her scratches and cuts it made him furious, but knowing she was near again was comforting but uncomfortable at the same time. Looking at her face made the ache of her not being there ease but set flames once more to his libido.
Libido… no other word seemed right. The flames of having her near were trying to feed into a sexual appetite he wasn't even sure he had… until recently. For some strange reason the opposite sex rarely ever got to him. Sure he had his moments where a cute girl caught his attention now and them but nothing came out of it. For some reason it never went anywhere. Two minutes after talking to the girls he'd realize they were airheads and weren't worth his time. It was like he was searching for something on a higher level and well, he seemed to have found it in her.
Whatever it was it attracted him from the moment she walked in that classroom door that morning and he had been assigned to show her around the school. Then it seemed to make him want her more when she had to have been the first single female he had ever met who didn't try and throw herself at him. He wanted to know about her more when she mentioned an attraction in Yusuke Urameshi. It was painfully obvious that Yusuke and Keiko were together the two really make it no secret they're together… mostly because it keeps suitors away from Keiko, but she still had wanted to get close to him. Why was the original reason, but he never really found out why she wanted to see him but he knew that Yusuke and every other male was an obstacle that he had to get around if he wanted ultimate happiness with her. He had to outshine the others, make her see him and hope she can see what you're worth later.
"I don't care for her in that sense you know." The voice of Yusuke made the youkai jump. "It's not healthy leaving your guard that low."
"…"
"She drives you crazy doesn't she?" Yusuke asked. "You know very well about your feelings for her but know little of her feelings for you… so it leaves you with one option do anything to grab her attention." Kurama sent a look towards him. "Despite what you think everyone else around is a threat to screwing everything up so you do what you can to make her single you out. It's what you were thinking right?"
"…"
"I thought so. You see if I hadn't cared for Keiko at all I wouldn't have been a spirit detective to begin with." Yusuke said. Kurama wasn't sure if he like Yusuke opening up to him, but Yusuke opening up in general was a rarity. "Alright we all know my life before dying was crap, but Keiko was the only light in it all, be we were total opposites. So every one and again I'd show up at school let everyone talk about me being in school and make up rumors whatever and then I'd skip a class. Being the school fulfilled person she is would then come and yell at me for not showing up for days then cutting a class when I do show up. Then I'd tease her get a slap from her then leave waiting for the next time I think I should go to that hell hole called school."
"A plan to get her attention… doesn't seem like you?"
"Yeah well neither is the whole tough act! We all should know that by now that isn't the real me, I mean, look at Poo. I hated the thing so bad because he pretty much was ruining the whole act… but it seems it worked out in the end anyway."
"It did… So what was your real reason to talking to me?"
"I just wanted to know if I was the only one who didn't trust her four new friends… Something about them is off."
"I know that you mean…" He said as lightening flashed across the sky followed by thunder. As soon as the rain bean to pour Kiara sat up abruptly the same time Serena gasped waking up Darien next to her.
"Rain… water…" She winced as she moved her arm but stood anyway and began tearing frantically at the bandages.
"Don't do that… You're not well yet." Serena whispered.
"I will when I get out side…" She ripped them all off and struggled a bit to open the huge doors.
"Kiara…" Kurama spoke.
"Just help me open the door!!!!" She yelled stirring the others out of their slumber. Just when they all stood she inched the door open and stood outside in the heavy rain. The long cuts and scrapes she had on her arms and black were closing up as soon as the water made contact with her skin. Her hair began to mat against her as well as the flimsy excuse for clothes had. She turned her face upwards towards the falling rain meeting the droplets face first. She breathed deeply and stayed there even after the wounds healed up.
'What exactly is this girl capable of?' Serena thought gently before screaming. "Something just brushed against my leg!"
"Poo?" A small blue creature cocked its head to the side and then launched itself at Yusuke.
"Yeah, yeah glad to see you too." He winced when it grabbed at his hair with its feet.
"What are you doing here little guy?" Keiko asked patting its head, but then she noticed something on his neck. "What's this?" Keiko tilted up a bluish green medallion hanging from the creature's neck.
"That… looks like a probation medallion." Botan stepped forward a bit. "It seems Koenma has put Kiara on probation for a little while…" Kiara looked at Botan.
'If only they knew…' She thought gently but stopping them there because of her telepath brother. 'If only they knew..."
"The tournament's in three months right?" She changed the subject quickly.
