Chapter 2 Reincarnations

Anukis walks out of the bathroom with clean clothes on and she sighs. “That felt good.”she said while stretching her arms out. “well did you like your shower?” “Hm? Oh, Hiei! I didn't see you there! What's up?” “Just thought I would show you to the room you will be using.” “'Kay!” Anukis said with a smile that made Hiei blush again. He walked by her with his head down so she couldn't see him blush as he led her to the room next to his. “Have a good nights rest.” “Thanks, Hiei!” saying that she kissed him on the cheek and walked in to the room to sleep the night away. Hiei just stared at the door and then walked in to his with a smirk and went to bed as well. ~It's a shame that me and you can't be together, Anukis. ~ someone said sweetly in her head as she tried to sleep but it was making her heart race beyond belief and it kept on repeating that phrase as she tossed and turned until she was shaken awake by a worried Kurama and Hiei. “Are you alright?” “Yes and no.” she regretted that being the answer to the question. “What do you mean?” Kurama asked pushing the matter farther than she would have liked. “I just kept on hearing a phrase being repeated in my head.” “Well that answers the question.” Kurama sighed knowing she wouldn't say more than that.“No it doesn't and you know that Kurama! Anukis! What was the phrase?” “HIEI!!!” “It's alright Kurama. It kept on saying `It's a shame that me and you can't be together, Anukis.'” “well that's strange.” “yeah.” Hiei just stood there as Anukis and Kurama had a conversation together. ~that's strange. I heard a phrase like that but, with my name instead and it was a female's voice like hers. ~ “Hiei? You ok?” “Hm? Oh, yeah. I'm just tired so I'm going to go back to bed.” he answered yawning the last part. “Ok. Well Anukis if you have something like this happen again you call me or Hiei, ok?” “ok.” she smiled and laid back down as Kurama closed the door. ~Something is wrong with Hiei. He looked frightened.Better go check on him! ~ she thought as she walked silently to Hiei's room and walking in. “You know knocking helps.” “Yeah well I didn't want Kurama to wake up.” she shot back as she walked over to hiei's bed and sat next to him. “I know you were lying about being tired. You had the same thing happen to you, huh.” she calmly said to him and tried to look at his face but he turned to his other side. “Hiei look at me.” “no.” “please look at me.” “still `no'!” by this time she was fuming and she pulled his face to hers and glared at him. He just averted his eyes and with that she let his face go and walked back to her room not caring if she woke Kurama up. ~That bastard!!! Why wouldn't he look at me?! ~ “Anukis? Is everything alright?” “No.” “What's wrong?” “Why does Hiei have to be such a dick?” “well he never had to deal with emotions so it could be scaring him a little bit.” “Hmph.” “You are as stubborn as he is. do you realize that?” “What?! I couldn't be like him! Could I?” she started to remember when they had first met they had only talked everyone else instead of getting to know one another. “Guess you right.” she sighed with defeat. “Well go back to sleep and I'll take care of hiei in the morning.” “Alright.” and with that they both went to bed.

Anukis woke up to people arguing about something.And CLIFF HANGER!!!!!! Heehee!!!you'll find out what happens in the next chapter. ^_^
