Chapter: 7
=================================================
'Owh, my head,' I thought as I slowly opened my eyes to see I was in a room that resembled a dungeon.
As I got up a wave of nausea hit me and I lost my breakfast.
I moaned as my head gave another nasty throb and staggered over to a wall where I slid to the floor. My body felt weak like I had been drained of my youkai. As I sat there my memoir slowly started to come back.
'Where is everyone? Are they all right? I wonder what was in those darts; it must have something to do with why I feel so tired.'
At the end of these thoughts I lifted my head to look about me. It was very dark and I could barely make out the figure of something in front of me. As my eyes adjusted, I could see that it was a girl. The most I could make out about her was the fact that she had long blue colored hair and looked about my age.
"Hello," I called out meekly.
Her head jolted up quickly and looked at me with wine-red eyes, like Hiei's. This in turn gave me shivers down my back.
"Who are you," she asked in a hushed voice.
"Kit, where am I?"
"You are in one of the many slave rooms of Kurai Castle," she said, her voice a little more normal.
"And your name?" I asked.
"Serena, but everyone calls me Angel," she said
"Well then I guess I'll call you Angel too," I said with a smile.
"So, what happened to you," she asked suddenly.
"Well, me and my friends where-," I was cut off abruptly by a voice from the shadows.
"You plain to tell a complete stranger why we are here," came the cold voice of Hiei as he stepped into what little light there was in the room.
My eyes widened and on instinct I scooted away from him. It wasn't that I was scared of him I just didn't like to be around him. There was just something about him that made my sixth scenes scream danger; saying something evil was about. Maybe I just wasn't used to his high-ranking S class level.
I also noticed that Angel also scooted away from him. His red eyes seemed to be glowing in the dime light unlike Angels whose looked normal.
"Hiei?" I asked shocked.
"Hn, baka," was all he said as he leaned against a wall.
**Re-a, Keo, and Kurama**
“Re-a, Re-a wake up,” called a concerned Keo. He had just woken up to pitched black darkness and so far had only been ably to find his unconscious half sister. His nerves where on the fritz and the fact that he felt like he had been to hell and back didn't help matters much ether. His head was throbbing terribly, while he seemed barely able to even stand he felt so weak. His throbbing head could only scramble together bits and pieces of memories about what had happened, and so far he couldn't think strait to even make out what they meant. The only thing he was worried about was his sister.
“Keo, is that you,” call a vaguely familiar voice.
“Kurama?” questioned Keo into the darkness.
A few seconds later the fox appeared on the other side next to Re-a. He seemed to look over her for a second then pulled out some leaves.
“What's going on?” asked Keo.
“Here, take this it should help your head,” he said handing Keo a leaf.
“Put it under your tongue,” Kurama instructed as he did the same with his, spitting out an old leaf.
“What's wrong with her?” asked Keo still worried.
“She's just still unconscious, she'll come around,” answered Kurama with a reassuring smile. Kurama then got up and came over to where he was and leaned back against a wall that Keo hadn't even realized was there till Kurama leaned against it.
The leaf that Kurama had given him had a winter green taste to it and as he sucked on it he could fell his head clearing, and as his head clear so did his thinking.
“Where are we?” he asked looking at Kurama.
“I don't know, the last thing I remember was being carried away by some guards,” said Kurama.
“I don't remember that, I just remember getting attacked and then suddenly finding myself with everyone else in a big net,” said Keo.
“Hmm, the darts must have affected use a little differently, I wonder why?” thought Kurama out loud.
“I wonder where the others are,” said Keo looked at Kurama out of the corner of his eye.
“If I had to guess in lease we're in danger they probably aren't,” said Kurama making an educated guess.
“I hope your right,” said Keo.
“Owh my head,” complained Re-a as she slowly started to come around. For about five minutes she had just lain there half asleep and half awake just listening to Kurama and Keo's muffled voices, dulled by the pounding sound her head was making. She had finally got a grip on reality and forced herself to awake, her head throbbing even more as she did this.
“Sis!” exclaimed Keo moving next to his sister so that he was on his knees.
“Here,” said Kurama as he helped her right herself, then both he and Keo helped her to the wall where she could lean against it for support.
“What happened,” was all she was ably to ask still very week and tired.
“Here,” said Kurama as he handed her the leaf and instructed her how to use it.
“We where attacked, and we don't know where the others are,” said Keo updating her.
She blinked at him for a second digesting this new information letting her jumbled mind make sense of it.
“Oh,” she mumbled as she sucked on the leaf, the throbbing in her head going down.
**Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Yop**
“My head,” Yusuke complained as he sat up.
“Your head, I fell like shit,” Kuwabara complained.
“Isn't that normal?” Yusuke teased.
“Why you!” Kuwabara said getting to his feet ready to punch Yusuke.
“Can you two shut-up,” complained Yop who was holding his throbbing head, and was slightly pale.
“What's wrong with you?” Kuwabara asked.
“I think those darts drain demonic energy, meaning you, Kuwabara wouldn't even be effected, and you, Yusuke, your only half demon so it would only have a minimum effect on you,” Yop explained.
“I see you're a smart one,” drawled a sweet voice from the shadows.
“Who's there?” Yusuke asked getting into a fighting stance.
“My name's Cerea,” a girl said walking out of the shadows. She had long black hair pulled behind her in a ponytail, and purple-blue cat like eyes.
“Hey how come I couldn't sense you?” Kuwabara asked.
“Maybe your sixth sense is broken,” Yusuke teased.
“No, these,” Cerea held up her wrist to show them a bracelet, “take away your power, demonic or spirit, but you where right those darts do take away demonic energy.”
“Hey I got one too!” Kuwabara exclaimed.
“They put one on all the slaves,” Cerea said rolling her eyes. Cerea took a seat next to Yop who was rubbing his temples in an attempt to get rid of his headache.
“What now?” Kuwabara asked looking at the almost sad expression on Cerea's face.
