Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ A New Character ❯ Meeting the Yu Yu Gang! ( Chapter 1 )

*Blah blah blah! I don't own yu yu hakusho, but I do own the new character. It's going to be in her POV for awhile. Hope you like it! ^_^ Love reviews and maybe suggestions for new ideas, but don't mind flames.

Chapter 1

The darkness is closing in. I'm frustrated, very frustrated. My heart is pounding madly in my chest. I run and run only to stop at a dead end. Cornered. What will happen to me now? I have no choice. I must use it now or die to the vile hands, or shall I say claws of a disgusting low class demon! I will not be taken down so easily. My anger flares inside of me. I can feel my hidden power being released. My vision glows red, but I still had the ability to see. "You have tested me far too much demon! Now feel my wrath and be condemned to HELL!" With that said I raised my hands in front of me. My power surging to my arms, rushing to my hands, and flying out of my palm. In mere seconds the demon was nothing, but ash. I pant slightly because I had not used my powers in such a long time. "I must be getting rusty," I said to my self out loud.

"Maybe you are. For a minute there I thought I might have had to cut in for you," a familiar voice says behind me.

I turn around calmly. "Hello, Yususke. Been a while hasn't it?" my mouth curves into a small smirk.

"Yup." Yususke was an average boy who happened to be a Spirit Detective, has a great amount of power, captain of the Urameshi Team, champions of the Dark Tournament, and a "childhood" friend. Alright, alright, so he isn't just your average punk on the streets, but he was certainly interesting. He wore his green uniform quite often, it suites him. His eyes were chocolate brown and slicked back black hair. His height is quite average for a boy his age and a great sense of humor. Yususke is who you're looking for to get the job done and a few jokes along the way.

Beside him were his fellow Spirit Detectives, Hiei, Kurama, and Kuwabara. Hiei has black hair that stuck up at ends with a white star burst, very natural, a bandana to cover his jagan's eye, underneath that his two crimson red eyes that could kill, black shirt and pants with a katana at his waist. He was a short little fire and ice demon, but he had speed, strength, and skill to make up for it. He wasn't someone you wanted to mess with. Kurama is one of the most handsome men you could ever meet and polite to boot. A beautiful shade of red hair and piercing emerald green eyes that you could just die for, but the only oddity of Kurama other than the fact that he was Youko Kurama in a human's body was that he wore pink for a school uniform. He wore that uniform quite often too. However, just because Kurama looked feminine doesn't change that he is just as dangerous as Hiei. Kuwabara is a clumsy pathetic idiot who had the absolutely biggest crush on Hiei's twin sister, Yukina. He had the face of a fool too; along with ridiculous looking orange hair and blue uniform that he wore just as often as Yususke and Kurama. You shouldn't be fooled by his looks though, he packs a pretty powerful punch for an idiot, but he is probably the weakest member of the team.

"So…YOU MIND TELLING US WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?!?" Yusuke shouted at me.

"Mmm, let's see. I woke up; I did the usual thing until school. This one guy tried to feel me up in front of his girlfriend, so I got in a fight with them. I think I sent them to the hospital…again…I was walking home from school after getting expelled…again…when this demon comes along and "asks" me for the Key. I didn't want fight it, so I told it to go away. It didn't listen to me and started chasing after me and attacking me. I wasn't having a good day; I didn't want to fight, so naturally I ran. Then I killed it. Anything else?" I reply. I was in the mood of seeming oblivious at the moment. It was fun watching Yusuke get frustrated. I wasn't exactly dodging the subject. I happen to find it very amusing to watch others around me get frustrated and start doing odd things.

"Where in the world did you get your powers!?!? How? Why didn't you tell me?!" yelled Yusuke.

"Um…I was born and I inherited it from my parents. I just didn't feel like telling you," I kept to my innocent act.

Yususke growled for a moment, looked like he was fighting an internal battle. "Come on, I'm taking you to meet Koenma."

"I already met Koenma."

"You're coming anyway."

"But I don't want to."

"You're coming anyway."

"Fine," I pouted at him and opened a portal. "Let's go!" Without looking to see if they followed I jumped in.

*Oki Doki! I'm going to end it here. I'm not sure who to pair this new girl up with, so…I'm holding a vote! Tell me who she should be with, who ever is highest I'll do it!
