A Yu Yu Hakusho Valentine's Day

 

Hello!!! I am back! Sorry, I haven't updated “Maybe Things Get Better” in a few months. I just don't get that much time. See lately, I have been having competitions. These competitions are consisting of musical instruments. I play the flute for those of you who don't know…which…is almost all of you. LOL. Anyways, I had a solo and ensemble competition on January 29 and just to tell you I got Superior for that. *that is a good thing ppls* On Friday and Saturday the 4th-5th I had a competition that went against different schools and counties of instrument players and we auditioned and an hour later we were assigned chairs that shows our ranking in our ability to play. Now, this competition was rigged because this girl's uncle everybody knew so she got first. But the good thing is I got second, which by the way is a good thing. Then on the Friday following that one; Friday and Saturday 11-12 I had another competition that was more competitive than the one before. This one we had to play different scales and of course sight-read music like last time. Well this one I did exceptionally well because I got first chair. *Not to brag or anything I am just happy they didn't rig this one* So we had fun and all and my friends went with me. And I was talking to a boy who watched Yu Yu Hakusho and InuYasha and got him to draw some pics. They are really good. Anyways, so that is what I have been doing for while. So just thought I should tell you. Sorry if this is after Valentine's Day but you guys can get over it!!! ENJOY!! Review after it so I don't feel like you guys hated it or something! And I will try to update Maybe Things Get Better!!

 

ITS: And now I am back with another One-shot!! ^^

 

Hiei: Hn. So?

 

ITS: Oh yea and you get to be a part of it Hiei! You can be cupid boy!! ^^

 

Hiei: *glare* I don't see that happening.

 

ITS: Ehehe…just, kidding Hiei. The only cupid boy here is my bro.

 

Yusuke: Why?

 

ITS: Because, Feb. 14 is his birthday! He is 13 by the way.

 

Kuwa: So.

 

ITS: So! Wish him a happy birthday da…darn it. Phew caught myself. See for Lint I have given up cussing along with my mom, dad, and my bro. My parents let us cuss in front of them and stuff.

 

Kuwa: Ha ha! *points finger*

 

Yusuke: Aww….isn't that just sweet. *starts to laugh*

 

ITS: *sigh* Whatever you guys.

 

Kurama: I think that is very good.

 

ITS: Yea but it isn't easy.

 

Hiei: Hn…get over it. Ningens and their “religions”.

 

ITS: HEY! Catholics believe there are ghosts and demons so this religion doesn't ignore it and think that crap like this doesn't happen if they don't think about it. No offense to Protestants, Baptists, Methodists, Prespaterions…(however you spell it)

 

Hiei: Hn.

 

ITS: Well on with the story. I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho or anything else, except this one-shot!

 

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*A Yu Yu Hakusho Valentine's Day~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

We start out at Yusuke's house where he is waking up to a new day. Course, he isn't waking up on his own. We can hear the sounds of his mother screaming telling him that he will be late for school and if he skips she is going to kill him. Not too surprising in the least.

 

“Yusuke! If I find out you skipped I am going to whoop your ass!” Yelled Atsuko.

 

“Yeah….whatever. Like I would skip today,” muttered a miserable Yusuke. “I hate going to school. Always got to be lectured on how to be a perfect student and how many days of school I miss because I am actually the person saving their sorry asses!” he said while walking to school carrying his book bag under his arm.

 

Yusuke arrived at school shortly after muttering to himself for 10 minutes. He arrived at the school gates and like always people stopped talking and doing what ever they were doing to see what Yusuke would do to them. Course Yusuke just looked to his left and right and people started running like always. Then Keiko came up behind him to reassure him that they wouldn't be scared of him if he was nicer.

 

“Damn, every time I come they run like hell. Ugh!! I hate school!” he yelled.

 

“Maybe, if you were nicer before, you wouldn't be in this position you are in now,” Keiko said.

 

“Huh? Oh hey Keiko,” Yusuke said in a bored tone.

 

“Guess what day it is today Yusuke!” Keiko said.

 

“What?” Yusuke responded.

 

“It's Valentine's Day!! Didn't you remember?” Keiko said.

 

“What?! Are you serious?” He said rather surprised. `It's Valentine's Day already?! Aw man I forgot to get Keiko a gift!!! Calm down Yusuke, you can tell her that you will give it to her at the end of the day.'

 

“Yusuke? Earth to Yusuke? Are you there?” Keiko asked waving her hands in front of Yusuke's face.

 

“Huh? Oh yea,” Yusuke said snapping back to reality.

 

“Did you hear what I said?” Keiko asked.

 

“Yea yea, I know, can we just get to class before we make a scene?” Yusuke said in a rushed tone.

 

“Oh…ok” She said while walking with Yusuke to class.

 

~During Yusuke's Gym Class~

 

`Ok now I can get some time to think. Now…..how in the hell am I supposed to get Keiko a gift when I have no money. Oh I know, steal it from Kurama. He'll understand, I mean Hiei does it all the time. Ok, get money from Kurama or….hm…I could beat up somebody and make a bet to see who wins. Yea, then I wouldn't make Kurama get mad at me for stealing. Ok, I will wait after school. And I will make Kuwabara do the bet! Yea! Ok now that I have it figured out I can take a small nap.' Was the last thing he thought before he took a small snooze.

 

~After School~

 

“Ok Urameshi! This time I am going to beat you up!!!” Yelled a frustrated Kuwabara.

 

“Yea and pigs will fly out my ass. Ok before I start kicking your ass how about me make a bet to see who wins? Eh?” Yusuke asked a confused Kuwabara.

 

“But you just said you were going to win,” Kuwabara said.

 

“Yea, but who is to say that I might not win. I mean good things happen to good people right?” Yusuke sneered.

 

“I guess so. ALRIGHT! I take your bet Urameshi! How much you asking for?!” Kuwabara said while pointing at Yusuke.

 

“How about….. 20 bucks?” He asked.

 

“Alright! Lets go!” Kuwabara said while starting the fight.

 

As soon as Kuwabara said that the fight began. Course, every throw Kuwabara threw (AN: that sounded funny….lol) Yusuke would just dodge. It was rather embarrassing on Kuwabara's side. It went on for a while and then they began to wrestle and what not for just 20 dollars. And since Yusuke was desperate he didn't hold back on Kuwabara. And of course Kuwabara was head strong and kept on fighting thinking that he would win. (SN: God I hate Kuwabara. Annoying shit. Kuwa: HEY! -Oh yea your still here. Well anyways on with the story. Hiei: Baka. I like the word `thinking' he will win. It suits him. Kuwa: SHUT UP! - ON WITH THE STORY!) So they fought for a while and then Yusuke got his money. You could call it easy cash.

 

“Hey, thanks Kuwabara. Good thing you already bought Yukina's gift huh?” Yusuke said in his cocky tone.

 

“Oh now I get it! You didn't have any money to buy Keiko a Valentine's gift! So you stole it from me!!! That isn't fair!!!”

 

“Hey, you were willing and you agreed. It was a bet and you couldn't turn it down, so stop whining,” Yusuke said walking off.

 

“Hey! Come back here!” Kuwabara said.

 

“Sorry, got to go shopping! Bye!” Yusuke said while walking away waving his hand.

 

“Damn it! Always ripping off me! Ugh! Wait what time is it? *looks at watch* YUKINA!! I'M NOT GOING TO BE LATE!!” As soon as he said that he was off to his beloved Yukina. (AN: I feel sorry for the poor girl. I hope they don't have kids. That would be scary. For both watching and for Hiei. Hiei: *glare* Shut….up. Kuwa: Huh? What is your problem shorty! Your not getting any ideas of liking Yukina are you? Hiei: O_O *starts to turn green* I wouldn't even fathom it! -Could we please get on with the story and Kuwabara, no, Hiei wouldn't go for Yukina. Trust me! *closes eyes in frustration* That is just gross *whispered* Kuwa: What?! - uggh!)

 

~Shopping~

 

“Ok what to get Keiko? Hm….. *looks at all the stuff*. Ok this shouldn't be too hard. She likes necklaces right? No…they have to be certain ones. She likes pink. And purple. And red. And what else? Damn it! Ok…. *sees some ear rings and necklaces that match* Hey those look good. Lets see how much….$15, hey that isn't bad just enough. Now what do I do with the rest? Hmm….get her some candy. CHOCOLATE!! Geeze I totally forgot about women and chocolate! Ok perfect!”

 

Yusuke then bought the gifts and asked if they could wrap the ear rings and the necklace in a nice box with a ribbon. The box was pink and had a red ribbon on it. The woman smiled and Yusuke left the shop.

 

“Ok now the chocolate.” Yusuke looks to his right and soon enough he was walking into a shop full of different types of chocolate. The store was basically a chocolate store. He looked at the different types of chocolate some were really expensive and looked really tasty and some were the generic brand. Yusuke looked around the shop and found a heart-shaped box with Godiva chocolate for only $5. It was a small velvet box that had a ribbon on it that was blue silk. He looked at it for a while and decided that it would make Keiko happy to have some good chocolate. He soon bought it and left for Keiko's house.

 

~Keiko's House~

 

Yusuke knocked on the door and asked Keiko's parents if she was home and told him that she went to Genkai's for the night. So Yusuke left and headed off to Genkai's.

 

“Man, I bet everyone is going to be there. And I have to give Keiko this in front of everyone! Why does she have to embarrass me every time I do something out of the ordinary?” Yusuke grumbled while walking to Genkai's.

 

~Genkai's~

 

Everyone was having a great time. They were all having a party because it was Valentine's Day and Kuwabara and Yukina exchanged gifts and Kurama gave everyone chocolates along with Botan, Keiko, Shizuru, and Yukina. Hiei even got a gift. It took some convincing to get him there but he came anyways because Yukina got involved. (AN: Well of course he would come if Yukina asked him to! Isn't that right Hiei? Hiei: Hn, if you don't drop it onna…you will deeply regret it. Kuwa: You are going for Yukina aren't you?! Damn you shrimp you know she is mine! Hiei: *turns green* I am not interested in Yukina that way. Fool. *snickering in the background* Ok you guys back to the story.) The whole time he sat in his favorite place the windowsill. Now, everyone was waiting for Yusuke because once again he was running late. And at the same time he never knew of the whole thing. Keiko told him dozens of times but in the end Yusuke just said, “Yea, Yea I know,” now we see how much that did him. Genkai received gifts from Keiko, Yukina, Shizuru, and Botan. Shizuru wasn't one for Valentine's Day but she did give people gifts because she thought it would be polite. Most of the gifts were pretty much chocolate, or little stuffed animals that had stuffed hearts with Happy Valentine's Day stitched on it. After about a while Yusuke showed up at the door knocking.

 

“Go answer the door Kazuma,” Shizuru said.

 

“Why do I have to do it?!” Kuwabara replied.

 

“Because you aren't doing anything,” came Hiei's voice from the windowsill.

 

“I am doing something shrimp!” came Kuwabara's shrieking voice.

 

“All I see you doing is sitting, and talking loud no less,” Hiei said calmly.

 

“Everyone else is sitting!” Kuwabara said.

 

“Yes, but you are being annoying and loud. It gets irritating,” Hiei said.

 

“Just answer the damn door!” Shizuru screamed then threw a pillow at Kuwabara.

 

“Fine! Stupid pip squeak… damn sister….” Kuwabara said while rubbing his head. He then opened the door and Yusuke came in.

 

“Hey guys, whatcha doing? Looks like you guys are having a party and didn't invite me! What's the deal!?” Yusuke said.

 

“I told you over and over again Yusuke. You didn't listen like you always do,” Keiko said in a bored tone.

 

“Ehehehehe,” Yusuke said while scratching the back of his head.

 

“What are you holding Yusuke?” Botan asked.

 

“Oh this? Oh…..um….nothing,” Yusuke said after hiding it behind his back.

 

“Oh, I think I know what it is! Did our wittle Yusuke get his girlfriend a gift?” Kuwabara said.

 

“Damn it Kuwabara, do you always have to annoy the hell out of me?” Yusuke said. Then Keiko walked up behind Yusuke and took the gifts.

 

“Huh? Keiko what are you doing?” Yusuke asked.

 

“You really did get me something? I didn't think you would remember. YUSUKE!” Then Keiko leaped right onto Yusuke and hugged him.

 

“Thank you so much!” Keiko said.

 

“Yea…no….problem….” Yusuke said what little he could because Keiko was clinging to him around the neck.

 

“Oh sorry,” Keiko said.

 

Then everyone started laughing and woohoo-ing Yusuke and Keiko. As soon as both of the couple heard that they both began blushing. Then Yusuke ran over to Kuwabara who was the loudest and started pounding on him. Hiei and Kurama were just smiling and once Yusuke was done pounding on Kuwabara Yukina just was giggling.

 

“I told you from the start detective, that she was your girlfriend. Hn, humans and their emotions…a waste,” Hiei said in a scoffing way.

 

“You're about to be next Hiei!” Yusuke said.

 

“Hn, don't take it out of me because you embarrassed yourself. That is your fault and yours alone,” Hiei said with a smirk.

 

“That's it!” Yusuke yelled.

 

“WAIT!!! You two stop it now! Especially you, Yusuke,” Botan said. “I was hoping that everyone would be here so we could dress up this time!!!” Botan said with a giggle.

 

“NO!” Yusuke, Kuwabara, Shizuru, and Hiei said.

 

“But why not? I thought everyone was very cute in their outfits. I work long and hard on the Valentine's ones! You have to at least try them on,” Botan pleaded.

 

“No, we did that at your `Thanksgiving' feast and we looked like a bunch of fools. I hated those outfits!” Hiei said.

 

“Yea! I had to be the turkey!” Yusuke said.

 

“I must admit. We did look a little silly,” Kurama said.

 

“But…but…” Botan pleaded while getting teary-eyed.

 

“It isn't going to work Botan,” Shizuru said.

 

“Well maybe we can try them on and if we don't like them then we can take them off,” Yukina suggested.

 

“Yea, I don't see the big deal. Besides, I mean she did work on them for all of us to wear,” Keiko said.

 

“That's right! Thanks you guys! At least I have some people who agree!” Botan said. At this Yukina and Keiko sweat dropped.

 

“No, way! I am not wearing any stupid outfits!” Yusuke said.

 

“That isn't nice Yusuke!” Keiko said.

 

“Well I don't want to wear any outfits. I looked stupid!” Yusuke said.

 

“I don't care. Either you try on the outfits or you get slapped. What are your choices?” Keiko asked.

 

“I got you gifts and this is how you treat me?” Yusuke asked. Keiko then handed him his gift and then told him, “And for the gift you owe me. That means you have to try on the outfits!” Keiko said.

 

“Damn it….fine!” Yusuke said.

 

“Well I'm still not doing it,” Hiei said.

 

“Yea same here,” Shizuru said. “Hey, I have to go to work you guys. Late-night shift. That means Kazuma is taking my place in the outfits! Isn't that right Kazuma?” Shizuru said with the `glare of death'.

 

“Hehehehe…..ok just don't hurt me!” Kuwabara said. (AN: Yea seems like Shizuru is always abusing Kuwabara. I just love watching it. Kuwa: Gee thanks for the sympathy. -I don't give stupid people sympathy. They are too stupid to deserve it. Kuwa: Hey! That is just mean. -Well that is just my point of view. Get over it. On with the story, before I prove to Kuwabara how “mean” I can be. Kuwa: *gulp*)

 

“So Hiei are you going to do it or not?” Botan asked.

 

“….no,” Hiei said.

 

“Fine, then prepare for force!” Botan said. Then Shizuru left out the door.

 

“Touch me, and I kill you,” Hiei said.

 

“Kurama! Help me,” Botan said.

 

“Yea if I have to do it then you do too Hiei!” Yusuke said.

 

“Yea shrimp you aren't special,” Kuwabara said.

 

“Urrggghhh…Kurama….” Hiei said with a death glare.

 

“Sorry, Hiei, if we all have to dress up then you should to. It is only for a little while anyways,” Kurama said while smiling.

 

“I don't care. I'm leaving,” Hiei said.

 

“Don't leave. It won't take long. All Botan is doing is taking a picture then we can get back into our normal clothes. You don't come by often it would be good if you stayed Hiei,” Yukina said in a soft tone. Hiei was just speechless staring at Yukina with a shocked expression.

 

“Please?” Yukina asked.

 

“………damn…..fine,” Hiei said in a defeated tone of voice.

 

“Thank you, Hiei,” Yukina said.

 

“Yea,” Hiei said. “Fine, where is the damn outfit! Let's get this over with so I can leave,” Hiei said.

 

“Alright hold on I will go and get your outfits,” Botan said in a squeal voice.

 

Botan came back out with several outfits. She had the same outfit for the girls and the same for the boys. The girls had a robe that looked like ancient Greek stolas that were for the women. They were all sorts of pastel colors consisting of lavender, light pink, and light blue. The guys had little outfits that had a little bow and arrow. At the end of the arrow was a heart with a pointed tip. They also had little wings so they could put on their backs to resemble Cupid. Botan also gave them white pants that she told them to roll up to make it look like they had on puffy shorts. She didn't want to mention diaper because that would definitely set them off and then they wouldn't do it at all. The guys on the other hand were floored by what they had to wear. Hiei was turning pale and looked like he saw something that would haunt him forever. Kurama was just wide-eyed and speechless like the rest of the guys. Kuwabara's looked confused and dumbfounded by the whole matter. Yusuke looked like he was about the hurl right there. Botan of course was smiling and thought the guys' outfits were adorable.

 

“You…aren't….serious?” Hiei asked still shocked.

 

“Yea…I mean…really. Do we have to really put that on?” Yusuke asked.

 

“You guys…this is scaring me,” Kuwabara said.

 

“Very….creative….Botan,” Kurama said with a sweat drop.

 

“Awww… the outfits are adorable Botan! Where did you get them?” Asked a curious Keiko.

 

“Oh I bought them at this shop that had all sorts of outfits. You should go by sometime,” Botan said.

 

“I love the little bow and arrow with the little wings Botan,” Yukina said. “Oh and our outfits are very pretty Botan.”

 

“I didn't get Genkai anything because I didn't have enough money left to buy her an outfit. I hope that is ok with you?” Botan asked.

 

“No, problem. I wouldn't have done the picture in the first place. I would have been the one taking it,” Genkai said.

 

“Good! Now, you guys get dressed!” Botan said with a wide smile across her face. The guys on the other hand were still speechless and very pale.

 

“Well, we might as well get this over with,” Kurama said.

 

“I can't believe I was dragged into this once again,” Hiei said.

 

“Damn it! I can't believe this! These outfits were worse than the Thanksgiving ones!” Yusuke said.

 

“Just come on you guys. I wanna get this over with,” Kuwabara said.

 

They all left to get their outfits on and the girls were the first to come out. Keiko put on the light pink stola and it was just the right size for her. Yukina came out with the light blue stola which was the color that she wore all the time and her hair was up in a bun like Keiko's. Botan put on the lavender stola and had her hair up as well. They all made sure their outfits were perfect and then went to sit down at the couch waiting for the guys to finish putting their outfits on.

 

“Gee what is taking them so long? I showed them how to put them on,” Botan said.

 

“Well, maybe they are helping each other,” Keiko said.

 

“Yea,” Yukina replied.

 

~With the Guys~

 

“Damn it! I look stupid!” Yusuke said while standing in front of the mirror. At the same time Kuwabara, Hiei, and Kurama were either snickering, smirking, or flat out laughing.

 

“Shut up! You're next Kuwabara!” Yusuke yelled.

 

“Fine!” Kuwabara then went to the bathroom and put on the outfit. He then came out and Yusuke started laughing at him.

 

“Shut up Urameshi! I bet I look a lot better than you!” Kuwabara exclaimed.

 

“Yea, whatever. Kurama you're next!” Yusuke said. Kurama only sighed and took his outfit into the bathroom and came out looking a little confused.

 

“I don't believe this. I hope she doesn't use this picture for blackmail,” Kurama said. Then Yusuke, Kuwabara were rolling in laughter. Hiei only smirked.

 

“Hiei, I guess it is your turn now. Let's hope your outfit isn't too big for you,” Kurama said to make a come-back at Hiei for smirking.

 

“Hn, shut the hell up fox,” Hiei said then hesitated to walk into the bathroom with his outfit. He then got up and walked in. It took him a while to dress and about a few minutes later he came out with a baffled countenance. He wasn't sure he even looked right in this. All he was hoping now was that there were no demons around to catch a glimpse of him in this or he would be hearing from Mukuro for decades. Everyone began laughing at Hiei for both his facial expression and his outfit.

 

“Hn, damn all of you,” Hiei said then left the room and headed for the main room. The others followed suit.

 

“Aw all of you look adorable!” Botan said.

 

“Hurry it up,” Hiei said between his teeth and a low growl.

 

“Alright, Genkai get the camera!” Botan said. Everyone got into the pose. They guys were on one side and the girls on the other.

 

“Ready….*small laugh* say cheese,” Genkai said. Then took the picture.

 

In the picture the guys were all looking rather bitter and the girls were all smiling and happy to have a great Valentine's Day. After the picture the guys raced to different rooms then undressed and headed out the door. Keiko and Yusuke walked home together while Hiei and Kurama and Kuwabara headed their separate ways. Yukina waved good-bye and Botan headed back to Spirit World. After it all Genkai framed the picture and placed it on one of the furniture in the main room. She then blew out the candles and headed off for bed.
