[ P - Pre-Teen ]

The next month is kinda boring, so i'll just sum it up for you. You went on two other missions with them, but they were really easy. You've got into only one fight in school. hiei and Kuwabara don't trust you at all, but Yusuke nd Kurama are learning to trust you(even though it is very little) Kuwabara keeps hitting on you and each time you beat him up(which is why he doesn't trust you) You also seem to be rubbing off on Yusuke. He goes over to your house sometimes and you do your homework together(Yusuke doing homework, shocking!)and he even got a perfect score on one of is tests!(even more shocking! He could give his teacher a heart attack doing that)So we're starting one month after everyone met. You're on holiday from school and spend most of your time at Koenma's.(you have your own room there) You're playing cards with Kurama and Yusuke(and winning) when Hiei comes in. 'Koenma wants to see you, Amaya,' he said. 'Okay, deal me out this round.' you say before standing up. Before you open the door, Hiei says, smirking, 'Don't get lost.' 'You look back at him and say, 'i could get tere before you!' Kurama and Yusuke look up suddenly from their game and Yusuke says, 'I think she's challenging you, Hiei.' 'Hn.' hiei says before ignoring you. 'What's the matter?' you ask, 'Afraid you'll lose to a girl...again?' He stops and you can tell you struck a nerve. he turns around and you know immediately he'll race you. You open the door and say, 'Yusuke, tell us when to go.' 'On your mark...' 'Prepare to lose,' you whisper. 'not this time,' he replies. 'Get set...' 'you just keeping living that fantasy,' you reply. 'GO!' You both disappear before Yuskuke and Kurama's eyes. In less than a second, you're in front of Koenma's office. 'I win,'you say to yourself, reaching for the door. just before you open it, Hiei runs into you(considering how fast he was going, that probably hurt!) and you both tumble through the door into the office, Hiei on top of you. For the briefest moment(and completely by accident, I swear!)you kiss. You stare at eachother for the longest time, blushing very slightly. Suddenly, you hear Koenma say, 'HIEI! What do you think you are doing! Get off of her!' You two seperate quickly, and you blush even deeper as hiei quickly leaves. 'What was that about?!' koenma shouts at you. 'I have no idea,' you mumble, staring at the door. Turning to Koenma, you say, 'You wanted to see me?' 'What? Oh, yes. here's some papers you need to look over.' you take the stack and sit down, reading through each carefully and put each of them into a pile. By the time you're finished, eighteen are in one pile and only one in the other. This one is promising, get rid of the rest. Is that all you needed me for?' 'yes it was, thank you, Amaya.' you leave the office and are heading back to the room when you see Hiei. 'Hey, Hiei!' you call, 'I wanna talk to you.' he walks up to you and without a word, you slap him hard across the face. 'That's for kissing me!' you shout before storming off.Okay that was the only thing during that month that was sorta important(you even got a clue as to what your job is) So lets skip another month and go straight to the boat heading for the Dark tournament. 'There's nothing but demons on this boat,' you say in disgust. 'Be careful,' kurama warned, 'it'll get dangerous on this boat. Only one team here is going to make it to the tournament.' (if you've seen the show, you know what i'm talking about) Sure enough, brutal battles broke out and Team Uremeshi(your team) was the last one standing. You reach the island and go to your hotel suite. Exhausted from the boat ride, you head straight for your room and fall asleep.You're woken up the next day by a knock on the door. You open it to see Yusuke there. 'We have to be at the arena in an hour.' he says before walking away. 'Good morning to you too,' you say sarcastically before closing the door and changing.(it doesn't matter what, as long as you can fight in it) You walk out to see Kurama waiting for you. 'What are you still doing here?' you ask. 'Do you know the way to the stadium?' 'No...' 'Then that's why I'm here.' You walk out together with him leading the way. For awhile neither of you say anything. To break the silence, you ask, 'Do you trust me?' He seems surprised by your question. 'I'm not sure. I've only known you two months, and there's not much I know about you.' 'So, it has nothing to do with that day you were all eavesdropping and heard koenma say he couldn't trust me?' 'Well...um...I,' he stutttered. 'that's what I thought,' you say bitterly, a hint of anger in your voice, and you stay quiet for the rest of the walk. You can tell you've troubled Kurama by what you said, but you don't care. you join the rest of the team at the stadium and you walk out with them into the arena and you're greeted by deafening jeers, but you ignore them. You're finally at the Dark Tournament.
