Serenity the Cat?
I don't own Yu Yu Hakusho.

"You idiots!" Koenma screamed, holding up the small jewel. "This isn't the jewel!"
"What'd you mean?! Kuwabara sliced it straight from her neck! It has to be!" Yusuke yelled back.
"No, this is a....a teargem."

[Flashback]

Serenity dodged with all of her speed. Twisting, turning, and spinning on her heels to avoid all four of the detectives. That's when it happened. She leaned back to avoid a swing from the Spirit Sword when the necklace fell out of her shirt collar. It drifted in front of her face before he cut the string that held it close to her. She reached out for it, but Yusuke fired his Spirit Gun, forcing her to retreat. She ran, and no one followed.

"NO! Damn it! I lost it! I was so careless! It's gone, and I'll never get it back!" The one thing that gace her comfort and hatred at the same time was gone. She felt embarrassed knowing that her father had it now. How would he react when he found that she kept it?
"What the hell are you screaming about?" Tai asked, walking up to her in the clearing. "Don't tell me you lost the jewel!"
"I didn't lose the damn jewel! I lost my necklace!"
"Oh, so what? It's not like it wasn't just one of your gems."
"It wasn't mine."
"Hm? Then whose was it?"
"That's not important." Serenity stood, eyes closed. "I have to go."
"You're not backing out, are you?!"
"No. I have to visit someone tonight."

I sat down by the small lake with the moon reflecting off of the small ripples made in the water. I looked over the stone and stared blankly. The flowers I had planted were a nice touch. Tonight was the anniversery of my mother's death. I made a promise to always visit on this night. My ears perked. Something was behind me. I turned to see the old woman again.
"Oh, it's only you. I don't need your help anymore." I said deadpan.
She laughed lightly at me. "I guess I forgot to tell you that there is a price for my sevices."
"Continue."
She started to wave her hands slowly in front of her face while chanting something that I didn't understand. I cringed when something cracked in my arms and legs. "And until you get back what you lost, you will stay this way!" The pressure continued until I blacked.

~~~~~~~~
I woke up who knows when and where. I got my balance on....Damn it! Something isn't right when you have four legs! I'm a cat! The stupid jewel from the Spirit World was gone, too. She said I had to get back what I lost. Damn it! She meant the teargem! Does she have any idea how I'm supposed to do that?!
"Look, Urameshi! It's a kitten!" I didn't even see who picked me up until he held me to his face. Wasn't this the one who made me lose my necklace in the first place?
"Kuwabara, leave it alone. It's probably afraid of you." Another one came into my view. He was also a detective.
"But it's cute! I'm gonna keep her, Urameshi!"
"Well, hurry up. We're supposed to meet everyone in the park."
"Oh, okay." He held onto me as the two walked to the park, carrying on a small conversation. There more more people when we reached the park. The one with long red hair was also a detective. There was a blue-haired girl and another with brown hair.
"What do you have there, Kuwabara?" the blue-haired one asked.
"It's a kitten! We found it on the way here!" the one named Kuwabara replied.
"Oh, it's so sweet!" the other girl yelled. The two ran up and grabbed me. That's when my nose caught the scent. That teargem I carried always had that scent on it. I tried to wiggle my way free, but they held on. Claws. Cats have very sharp claws. So, I used mine. They dropped me, holding where I scratched each of them. Okay, steer clear of those two. Now, I want to see how the redhead acts. I walked over to the park bench where he sat and jumped up.
"Well, hello there." he greeted. He's alright. He didn't make a grab to try and hold me. I jumped off of the bench an headed for a tree where them smell was. Time to use my claws again. I began to climb until I reached the first branch. He had his back turned to me. I don't think he noticed where I was. Kuwabara was at the trunk, yelling for me to come down. I didn't pay any attention and pounced, knocking my father off balance. He let out a little sound of surprise and fell to the ground. If I could have burst out laughing, I would have! I jumped down after him and circled him, looking for my gem. The pocket! It was in his pocket!
"What the hell is this thing?!" he yelled as I pounced for his pocket. It's mine! Give it back! He grabbed me by the back of the neck a scowled. I didn't move as he turned me around to look into his eyes. He scowled again and set me down. I thought I heard him say something like "Damn ningen creatures." I turned back around and sat down to look up. Kuwabara ran over and picked me up again.
"Don't go near her! You'll set a bad example!" I turned in his grasp and clawed him across his face. He dropped me, and I ran behind my father.
"I don't think it needs it. It already has the right idea of you." I hissed at Kuwabara. I'll claw you again, too!
"But she's mine! I found her!"
I hissed again to say "I don't like you at all! Back off!"
Kuwabara shivered. "Whoa! She's got some kind of weird energy coming off of her. It feels farmiliar....kinda." I turned and climbed up my father's leg and went for his pocket again. I dove in, but he quickly pulled me back out.
"Stay out of there." he ordered. So, he didn't catch on to what I was after. He set me down, and I went for his pocket again.
"Do you have something in there?" the raven-haired teen asked.
"Hn." This time, a curled my claws around the fabric, holding on.
I meowed at him in an angry way. That's it! I haven't tried telepathy yet! **Damn stupid ningen.** I sent Kuwabara the message so only he could hear it.
"Ah! Urameshi! It talked!"
"Get a grip. Cat's can't talk." the raven-haired boy said.
**That's right, you're just going crazy!**
"AH! Tell it to stop!"
**I won't stop until you do something for me.**
"I'll do anything! Just say out of my head!" The others watch the baka make an ass of himself.
**The one you call Hiei has something very imporatant of mine. I want it back.**
"Shrimp! Give the stupid cat what it wants! Stay out of my head!"
**It's in his right pocket! Get it now!**
"NO! STAY OUT!" And the idiot ran off yelling. I shook my head. Kuwabara no baka.
"Guys, I don't think that's an ordinary cat." Urameshi said. I turned back to my father and let out a cute "Meow!"
