Michelle trudged down the empty street feeling awkward. The hot July sun beat down upon her mercilessly. She jumped when she heard a crash to her left. A can rolled out of an alley and stopped at her feet. The mascot on the can seemed to be glowering at her. The once cute penguin now seemed menacing. She reluctantly turned into the alleyway and the sun immediately ceased its reign over the sky. It was dark and damp in the alley and Michelle sighed, as she was happy to be out of the merciless sun. An ominous feeling enveloped and overtook her as she walked deeper into the dank alley. A coppery scent met her nostrils and she followed it to a dumpster. She circled it and found nothing, but the scent was still there. Then it struck her, the smell was coming from inside the dumpster! She hesitated, then flung open the dumpster lid… only to find nothing. She sighed and looked up… and screamed. There, hanging by her neck, was Michelle's own bloodied body.

Michelle's POV

I woke up in a cold sweat. The dream was so real… so scary. Wait… where am I? Who am I? Who is that man on the chair?

Out of Michelle's POV

Hiei looked at Michelle confusedly. "Michelle?" he asked tentatively. "W-who are you? Who am I? Where am I? Why am I here? And why can't I remember anything?" "Michelle, don't you remember me?" "I'm sorry, but no." Michelle was worried by the anxious look on his face. "It's me, Hiei." Michelle's face was totally blank of all recognition. "Please, don't you remember me? Me, Hiei, your mate?"
