Ballad to HB
I've danced with the devil, a spirited beat
He dances so well, never stepped on my feet
So I twirled in the night with the moon on my face
Knowing, at dawn, we'll still be in this place.
His hair black as raven, eyes red like hot coals,
He's known to steal lives and young maidens' souls.
I know this quite well so I tell all who live
Be he needn't have stolen for it's my heart I give
My heart's filled with love where there used to be fear.
Who'd have thought what I hated is now what is dear?
How'd it all change, so strange and so drastic?
If someone'd said this before I'd have said they were spastic!
But, I suppose, opposites do attract
And what would we be if not only that.
Him short and angry, me tall, bubbly, and bright
Come to think of it now, we must make quite a sight.
The others will laugh, and get hit with my bat!
Heh. I'm sure Hiei will mostly like that.
But I don't care what they think, or anyone either
I love him, he loves me, and they can go eat a beaver!!
Looking back on our romance, I smile, just a smidge,
This whole big thing started with a trip to the fridge.
But let's not think of it now, not on this special night.
When I'm feeling so happy my heart might take flight.
I just want to hold him, and him to hold me
And to wonder how cute all our children will be.
Oh dear that was bad, very bad to be sure
Yet I wonder if, like me, they'll have hair all azure.
