Kurama: Have you ever heard of tact?

WFW: Like it really matters, I am a mean person.

Hiei: You are a pain in the ass. You know that don't you?

WFW: Of course I know that. It's my job and I am very good at it.

Black Roses

Chapter One: Unexpected Visitor

It was 9:30 pm, and the late, stormy night found a red haired boy sitting at a desk in his room. He was writing in a notebook when his head snapped up and he looked out the window into the gray abyss of rain and agony. He walked to the window and rested his head against the cold glass. There was something in the air that was so familiar. He closed his eyes and thought about the sent that was plaguing his mind; it was one that he knew so well, he longed for that sent for so long. The sent that belonged to the Forbidden Child.

"Hiei…." Kurama mumbled. Kurama felt a Ki spike angrily and his emerald eyes snapped open instantaneously, and he found himself staring into the face of the person that captivated his thoughts and dreams. He unbolted the windows and threw them open. "Hiei? What are you doing out there? Get in here before you catch a cold!!" Kurama snapped impatiently, stepping away from the window to allow his guest access to his room. In a blur of black, a soaking Hiei stood inside Kurama's immaculate room, dripping water on the freshly vacuumed carpet.

"Fox." Stated Hiei monotonously. "You are incredibly slow, I've been out there for a while." Hiei continued.

"I'm not at all slow Hiei, I just figured you would come around when you were ready. No sooner and no later." Kurama stated with a small shrug. "Would you like some fresh clothes?" He asked as he walked towards the closet.

"Hn." Hiei stayed where he stood and waited for the kitsune to return with the garments. Kurama came back with a gray short-sleeved shirt, and a pair of black sweat pants folded neatly in his arms.

"You are first going to go take a shower, because you really need one." Kurama said with a small smile playing gracefully across his lips, "And I am going to go make you some food." He motioned for Hiei to follow, and follow he did. Kurama led him to the bathroom and placed his clothes on the counter in a neat pile by the sink, walked out and returned again with a towel in his hands. "Hiei? Have you ever taken a real shower before?" Kurama asked, and was not surprised when Hiei shook his head `no'. Kurama placed the towel on top of the clean clothes and went to the stall and turned the cold and hot water knobs on. "All you have to do now is take off your clothes and step in." He smiled politely and walked past Hiei, leaving a faint sent of roses in the air.

"Yeah right, it will probably try and kill me." Hiei grumbled as Kurama closed the door and wandered down the hall to make Hiei his dinner.

"He doesn't trust anything." Kurama said as he walked down the hallway, making his way to the kitchen. "I'm surprised that he even came to me…" Kurama's words trailed off as his mind continued to think about Hiei. He pulled out a pot and filled it with water. While he waited for the water to come to a boil, he cut up come chicken that was left over from the dinner last night. Just as the water was coming to a boil, an almighty bellow came from the bathroom where Hiei was located.

"I AM GOING TO KILL YOU, FOX!!!!!!!!!" Hiei's angry yells came closer and closer as he made his way to the kitchen to yell at Kurama face to face.

"Umm, Hiei? What happened?" The kitsune asked, trying to suppress a laugh.

"The damn water just went all cold!!! I told you it was going to try and kill me, I just didn't imagine that it would go about trying to freeze me!!!!!" Hiei snapped angrily as he finished tying the towel around his slender waist. Leaving the well-built abs, chest, and shoulders exposed. Kurama turned away, a light blush gracing his pale cheeks.

"Hiei, that's what happens when all the hot water runs out. It is replaced by the cold water." Kurama said gently.

"Well fix it." Hiei hissed.

"Hiei, stop being mean. The only way to `fix it' is to let it set and heat more water up. Until then, you can eat your dinner." Kurama lead Hiei out of the kitchen and into the dinning room. Kurama sat with a smile plastered onto his face; he had never seen anybody eat the way Hiei was eating now. It was amusing to watch the demon eat as though he hadn't eaten in a month. "You should slow down, I can always make you more." Kurama stated politely. Hiei glared at him, but slowed down all the same. "Hiei, I have to go upstairs and finish my homework. You know where my room is, just be up there before my `kassan gets home." Kurama said as he excused himself from the table and walked upstairs.

"Hey, Fox?" Hiei asked as he put the bowl of ramen down.

"Yes, Hiei?" Kurama turned on the stairs to stare at his friend.

"Where should I put this?" He asked as he held up the empty bowl.

"In the sink." Kurama said, then continued walking up the stairs and down the hall to his room. He felt Hiei's presence behind him and that pale blush found it's way back onto his cheeks, and he silently cursed himself.

WFW: Well, the lemon will be in the second chapter. Please leave me a review, and I will give you a chapter.

Kurama: It isn't nice to manipulate people to get what you want. Did you know that?

WFW: Of course I know that, but I don't really care. I do what I'm good at, and I'm good at this.

Hiei: Anyways, what about all the times Youko did this just to get what he wanted?

Kurama: That is totally different.

WFW: I don't see how.

Kurama: It just is.

Hiei: Leave a review, because I think that these two will be at it for a while…..*Watches the ongoing battle*
