Chapter 7: A Firey Past.

Monique had been laying in bed now for at least 25 minutes before she felt the tug of sleep at her eyelids.The room was cast in pitch dark, her curtains were shut tight around her window, she rolled over and snuggled under her covers. She was asleep for what seemed a hour. Her eyelids softly began to flicker as she was drifting into a deep dream.

~A young woman,a Demon, stood not to far from the blazing inferno, the fire licked at the night sky like a snake. She was at least 5"5 with long black hair ,with red streiks that painted through her hair. Her eyes were a crimson red, with silver orbs.Her body seemed to be a slender tone, long pinty ears aligned her head,she also had a Scaly tail. Her body was athletic, she had about her head a Jagan eye,and,a black Harou, the bottom was Black but the top and sleeves were white. On her left hip was a sheath,holding a Katana,with skulls aligning the hilt. Her eyes flashed with pure evil as she walked out into the middle of the fire,the villagers were running through the village frantically, she smiled as she watched there horror on there faces,watching humans suffer always made her happy. She stopped and ran her fingers along the Hilt of her katana, her entire body slowly became engulfed in a black energy,flames licking at her skin as she walked passed it, she heard a voice ring out and turned and saw as a black shadow darted by her, her ears perked up as she took off with amazing speed, clutching sumthing close in her arms. Her assailant stopped not to far ahead of her and grabbed ahold of her arm, jerking her close to him as she passed by, She quickly changed to her human form. She stood not far from a black Presence. "Did you get it?"

The Figure asked. She nodded and opened her arms showing off a glowing white orb that laid in her arms. "Yes i did." She smiled as she looked into the figured eyes. They heard as the sounds of approaching army coming close by. she took this glowing white orb and carefully placed it inside what seemed to be a sack, a gold one,and tied it to her back securely,, her and the figure took off at amazing speed, they were to fast for any human to catch.~

Monique woke up, her breathing was coming in gasps as she looked around the darkened room, her eyes not quite adjusting yet. She realized she was alone as she pushed her hand inside her hair and took a deep breath. "What was that about?" She asked noone impaticular, as she heard muffled voices outside her door. The door flew open and a frantic and scared Yusuke came running in, taking his sisters side. "Woah,Sis what is all the screaming about." She looked up and sighed as she nodded. "It was just a dream, sorry if i startled you." She said as she could steal feel the affects of sleep strong throug out her body. "Sis, its ok, weve all been there." She nodded and hugged Yusuke tight to her, the dream still playing through her mind, sumthing told her that that was her past,but who was the Black Figure? Was it My Partner in crime back then? She thought as she realized Yusuke had let go of her by that time.

He looked into her eyes as she began to lay back down. "Monique, what did you dream about?If you dont mind me asking?" She smiled reassuringly at Yusuke, and leaned her head back onto the pillow. "I Think it was my past, and i believe i had a partner back then." She said,confusion crossed her face as she heard someone approach the door. "You did have a Partner." Kurama said from the door, his eyes were solemn, serious as he spoke. She sat up and glanced toward the red headed boy. "Kurama, you sound like you know sumthing?" He nodded,his red locks spilling across his bare muscular chest as he spoke. Sumthing in his eyes didnt seem like the Kurama she was used to.

Kurama walked completely in the room, he was in his pajama pants, and that was all, he looked down into Moniques eyes and seemed to be trying to read her , as if was searching for sumthing. She looked slowly up and Threw the covers back from her body as she swung her feet to the floor, she ran her hand up onto her neck and leaned her head forth. "Look, i am now so confused, this isnt the first dream,ive had,theres been others." She spoke softly, not meaning for the others to hear her,but Kurama had, he slowly sat down on the bed. "Were they simmilar to this one?" She nodded,and, pushed her hands onto his,trying to get a reading off him,the instant she touched Kuramas hands she felt a jolt rush through out her body, like sumthing was being awoken on the inside.

"My Demon..Its awake." She said as she froze up, feeling the burning passion encircle her.

She soon awoke again and found the sunlight as it shined in,stinging her eyes. She slowly looked around and reckonized right away she wasnt in her room. She heard the creak of footsteps as she glanced toward the door.

"Your Awake,,, i was starting to wonder when you were going to get up?" She reckonized the voice,she glanced up and found Hiei standing over her. "Yes,, What happened." He slowly sat down next to her and rested his red orbs on her face, his expression was blank. "You said sumthing about your Demon awakening and then you went out....you tried to attack Kuwabara,if i hadnt intervened when i did." She sat up, worry wore tight across her features. "Oh My God, Is he ok." He nodded, a amused smile slid across his face. "Yes, the bafoon is ok, almost deserved it,trying to act macho for you again." She couldnt help but laugh as she propped herself up on her elbows. "Do you know. if Kurama has any idea about me,or if he knows who my Partner is?" She asked, she felt him tighten next to her. "Im not sure,but i knew you were just like me,,when i saw you come through those doors at the airport,,and,,dont worry ,,this orb you held in the dream,that was a powerful weapon,it conatins the power to encrease someones spirit power, the power to steal others spirit powers and not to mention, it can steal your soul." She looked up into Hiei's eyes with shock. "Howd you know about the orb."

He turned around and crossed his arms over his chest. " You were talking about it in your sleep,now you need yo get breakfast before the training begins." He turned and walked to her side trying to help her up.
