Chapter 12: Rude Awakening

The Moonlight had began to just shine across the dark sky line, the cold winds of December had just began to sweep across the lands. She stood in the embrace of the shadows watchin them,closely,her Green eyes bored into a certain fire youkai's soul,as if trying to read his every movement. She changed her footing against the tree that closed in close to her back, she could sense the Black dragon Wave, the energy that swelled from its very being had alerted her to the whereabouts of Hiei. She watched ,for the sheer excitement of Blood,but deep down she knew Hiei was about to get the Experience of a lifetime,the Dragon was going to fail.

Kazuki could feel her breath began to burn in her chest, the solid whites of her eyes became bigger then normal.

as she began to dodge every single flame that bounced off the dragon wave,and flew in her direction. Hiei's eyes widened as he watched her,dodge these unbelievably fast flames of hell, she turned her head to the left as she felt her whole body become engulfed in a orange mist, the flames of her own hell licking at her skin. She felt her smirked,feeling the familar evil burn in her body. She slowly let her head fall forth,her long Blood Red hair fall around her eyes,sheilding hiei from what she was up to. She could concentrate on the dragon,its location, its heigth,everything, the Dragon slammed into her body, the explosion erupted all around her,, it seemed as if it had disenegrated through her. Hiei felt his heart drop some, as the ordeal seeped into him, the fact of what he had done. He knew it was the only way to do it,but, she was his world.

Kurama walked to his side, his red locks hung around his eyes,his hands placed deep in his pockets. He carefully laid his hand onto his shoulder,and you could hear the sigh. "Hiei,,,,you did what you had to.....maybe we were fooling ourselves,thinking she could be changed." He felt as Hiei began to sink lower to the ground, his body began to shake with the fits of tears that tried to force itself to the surface, He slung his head to the side, and held back the bittersweet taste of them. He slowly climbed to his feet. " She was asking for it, It had to be done, why should i shed tears over sumthing that,,,,I didnt care for." Kurama cut his eyes to the left, as he felt his body frozen in place, the Mist had began to clear from around her, a sillhoutte of her figure could be seen in the clearing mist.

Hiei stood, his eyes widened, he couldnt believe what he saw before him, there she stood, unscrapped , not a mark or scratch on her, her hair blew around her wildly in the wind, she raised her eye's, and the evil in her eyes radiated with the hint of amusement. "Well Hiei dear,did you forget about my powers and speed already." She removed the cloak that surrounded her shoulders, and let it drop to the ground. Her ears twitched with life. "Kazuki,,You..Wouldnt." Hiei quiestioned her, fear tight in his throat, as he was brought back to reality about her powers. She had the abillity to take someone attacks and turn them around on the person, she had the power to even make it ten times worse then what they had made it. { A/N: Yes,,Yes,,,I took this power from Mukuro, dont kill me.} She Raised her left hand, cupping it. " And why wouldnt i,,,you dared do it to me,,,Your weak now,Hiei." Kurama took a step forward when he felt the sting from his previous fight with her run through his body. Azuka stepped forward,laying her hand to his shoulder and gently tugged him back. "No,,, sit Kurama-san, shes to much for even you,,you should remeber that." He turned his emeraled eyes to the woman they had just met a few minutes ago. "How do you know......about her or us?" She just shook her head as she looked up,back in Kazuki's direction. "Ill explain,later." She felt the emotions stir within her, but, she didnt have time to get into all of that.

Hiei had come to the conclusion that the only thing that could even have a prayer in stopping the blood thirsty demon,known as Kazuki was Fist of Immortal flame, he locked eyes on to her. He knew had time, for just like he, she had to summon the dragon,and,that could take a bit,buying him some time. He channeled the energy around his fist and sprinted forth, his speed always buying him time , before he was able to reach her he heard the words ring out through the air,,,Hiei glanced in the Spirit detectives direction,with a glare that could cut through ice.

" SPIRIT GUN." A blast of pure white light flew past Hiei,barely mising him,slamming into Kazuki's back causing her to fall forth, her body slamming into the ground, her head bouncing of the dirt.

"Yusuke, you Baka, you nearly hit me with that." Hiei sneered, as he suddenly appeared next to the dark haired boy. Thwapping him with his left hand. " And dont you think that could kill your sister?" Yusuke turned solemn eyes down to the still form of his sister and fell to his knees beside her.Running his left hand lightly through her hair. "I know Hiei,but,I had to,,,she was going to............" Yusuke felt the end of Hiei's katana slamming against the back of his skull, his form collapsing ontop of Kazuki's. Kurama couldnt help but chuckle. "Hiei,,was that nesscesary.?" He nodded as he lightly nudged him with the tip of his boot. "Yes.....Fox...it was.He hit me,,almost hit me." He said as he bent down and sweeped Kazuki into his arms bridal style and started back toward the temple.

Kurama felt a small smile form as he watched the lil Koorime dissapear into the distance.he looked over to the other side,to catch a glimpse of the Woman that he had just met,but,it felt like he knew her before, she was staring at him, a soft smile spread across her face...she didnt say anything but she felt her hand gently slid past his hand as she turned and walked toward the temple. He nodded some as if he read her mind, but sumthing made him turn to his left, he had picked up on someone else's energy,,,someone that was hidden from the human eyes. His eyes switched to the honey brown orbs ,,,the blood red locks became mixed with silver white hairs,,,,,when Kuwabara ran up and grabbed his shoulders making him jump. "Hey man,,hows it going,,,,what i miss." Kurama felt his heart soften once more as he turned,looking at the orange goof ball he called a friend."Kuwabara,you missed alot. Now come on,we need to get inside,,theres sumthing out here,,,and i dont like the vibe." Kuwabara slowly turned around, his eyes narrowing a lil. "Yea i got that feeling again,,,the willies." Before he could try and go investigate Kurama threw him over his shoulder, and, turned toward the temple.

The girl still stood in the darkened embrace of the night. her eyes locked on the orange haired goof ball. she crossed her arms over her chest and sneered. "Hn! Baka Ningen."
