BFK: Wow, the chapter's been up for what, less than a day, and a review already! Oh yeah, and an update. :)
May: Wunnerful. -glomps Kuronue-
BFK: You're only serving to further aggravate Angel Bat, you realize. And I can't go loosing a reviewer because of you.
May: Screw you pal! Kuronue is MY man! =P I called dibs! (May I mention that May herself wrote that..?)
BFK: Ummmmm....... shehadhimfirst?
May: Who cares?
BFK: If I loose a reviewer because of you, you are a DEAD girl. CLEAR?!

Disclaimer: I don't own it. Never have, never will. I can pray, though!

Terra and May exchanged quick glances. This is too freakin' soon! Terra screamed telepathically. It is!!!!! We don't even know our powers! May replied. You don't. I have a fair idea.

Oh. Terra cut off the mental conversation with that final note from May.

“We'll head back to change, then.” The violet-haired kitsune said. She gave both boys a quick smile. Five minutes later, she was back in her room changing. She had found tight-fitting black leather pants, which she jumped on-yay leather- a white tank top, and a very, very nice leather biker-chick jacket, and tugged on a pair of leather biker boots she'd found. She grabbed her staff, the only non-modernish thing in her outfit. Her violet hair was braided back, allowing her bangs to hang free, and her eyes of a similar shade sparkled with excitement. She walked out, meeting May, who was dressed in a simple white tee and jeans.

“What's with the biker-chickness?” May asked. Terra smirked.

“Isn't it awesome?” She asked. “I loove it! The punkness just speaks to me, y'know?”

“Whatever.” May shrugged, and they walked down the hall. The boys met them halfway, and May couldn't help notice the looks that kept flitting Terra's way-mainly from Youko. It has to be the pants. She thought. Nevertheless, the four thieves made their way to the exit. Terra looked quickly at Youko.

“How far, exactly, are we from this `Palace of Makai'?” She asked.

“Fairly far. I do believe that the Jagan gives you the power to teleport, though correct?” The thief resplonded with a question. Terra nodded.

“Right. So you want me to teleport us there.” She responded flatly. “You do realize that we can't work that on the way back, though. Teleportation leaves a youki trail that could be followed straight back to the hideout.” She said quietly. Youko nodded.

“I know.” He replied.

“Just making sure.” And the violet-haired kitsune untied the bandanna she was wearing over the Jagan, closing her two normal eyes. The third eye on her forehead opened, and glowed with a deep blue light that could only be her youki. “I have a lock on the destination.” May put a hand on her friend's shoulder, as did Kuronue, but Youko grabbed her hand. A slight pink tinge colored her face, but it faded as the deep blue glow enveloped all four of them and seconds later they were in front of the “palace”.

“Some `palace.'” Terra stated, shaking her head. “It's not that impressive.” She muttered. “Oh well, let's go.” She said, quietly sliding to the tunnel-like opening that led to the doors of the mansion. “No guards.” She reported, after a quick scan with her Jagan. The three other thieves moved up behind her, and all four silently walked down the corridor to the doors of the palace. Youko picked the lock quickly, muttering something to the effect of “overconfident youkai lords, don't expect us to break in, what idiots...” The four got in, and silently slipped through the hallways to the vault. Terra placed a hand against the vault and called up the fire energy she somehow, subconsciously, knew she had, placing the blame on Hanshou for probably telling her it just as she needed it. The door melted under the extreme heat she radiated, and Youko clapped quietly. He found what they had come for-a gold-framed mirror. “It's called the Mirror of Truth. Ask it a question, and it can only answer with the truth, never a lie.” Kuronue explained. Terra nodded, seeing it's value.

“Let's go.” Terra muttered. “Bad feeling...”

“Always trust a Jagan bearer's bad feelings.” Youko said, and the four exited the safe. Youko paused for a second to drop a single blood-red rose, and Terra, smirking slightly, added a single black rose next to it. Youko couldn't help but smirk as well. “Excellent and original.” He commended her. She smiled in return, and the four took off for the exit. Once they reached there, and were heading up the hallway, Terra froze.

“Ambush!” She shouted, just as the guards showed up. “They must have had wards up...” She said quietly. She then swung her staff around in front of her, as it shifted into a katana. Etched into the silver blade of the katana was a gold phoenix. She held the sword in front of her, shifting her feet into a position she had seen Hiei use on the show. “PHOENIX BLADE!” The blade became engulfed in flames, and several of the guards scampered, leaving an opening wide enough for the thieves to get through. The four ran, until they reached a clearing all too familiar to Terra and May. Just then, there was the sound of a snap. Kuronue's amulet had broken. The bat demon spun around, racing for it.

“No, Kuronue!” Youko shouted to his partner-in-crime.

“I need it!” Kuronue called back. He grabbed the amulet, springing the trap. As the bamboo stated to fall, Terra's aura shifted from deep blue to what amounted to flames crackling around her body and connecting with those on the sword she held. Instinctively, she swung the sword upwards, and fire leapt off it to incinerate the falling bamboo spikes.

“C'mon! We have to keep going!” May called, as Terra's aura returned to normal. Kuronue, holding his pendant, raced back and the four took off again. They finally escaped the bamboo forest, but kept running until they found a likely place to camp for the night-an empty cave. Terra and May gathered firewood, while Youko and Kuronue hunted. Once the boys got back, Terra had set a merry fire crackling. The rabbits that Youko and Kuronue had caught were immediately set upon it to cook, and the two boys faced the girls across the fire.

“Now, let's talk.”

BFK: Yet another cliffhanger-ish thing. Ne. I made a Harry Potter/Yu Yu RPG, if anyone's interested in joining, the link can be found in my profile. Thank you. also, Angel Bat, I apologize for May's rudeness earlier in the chapter. She herself typed that, not me.
