Chapter 3 Free at Last

( over the last stories I've written…. I think my titles are starting to make some sense…. But I must warn you, they'll probably soon became really pointless! ^_^)

"a girl? Gez Koenma, I knew you were disparate…. But this desperate…. Gez…." Yusuke says while smirking. "IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!!!!! I'M TALKING ABOUT A GIRL THAT NEEDS SAVING!!!!" Koenma yells at him. "so… *totally ignoring the fact that Koenma just yelled at him* what's the big mission? Who's the girl we need to find?" Yusuke asks Koenma.

"if you'd shut up, I'd be able to tell you." Koenma says whiling holding up a video tape. "I guess we might as well sit for this one, Yusuke." Kurama says while gesturing to the chair. Yusuke sits there while Kurama goes and sits on the couch.

"well… as I see in her files, she is a demon, but before I get to that, I'll show you what she looks like…" Koenma goes and puts the movie into the VCR. It starts to play. "ok, this is the girl that you have to find…" a girl shows up on the screen. "…th--- that looks like… Ve--- Vera!" Yusuke stutters out in astonishment. "that looks like tat girl we were going check on tonight!" Kurama exclaims.

"YOU KNOW HER?!" Koenma asks loudly. "yah, me and her are real good friends…. But… I think there's something wrong with her… she's… been… acting kind of weird lately…" Yusuke says while looking serious and worried at the same time."

"well, as I had said, she is a demon." Koenma starts off again. "what type?" Kurama's asks. "wolf… but… she has powers like a sorceress…. A witch…. But yet… she's a demon…. I think it's because of her heritage… but I will tell that to you after you retrieve her for me…" Koenma says. "…hn… that's stupid…" Hiei says while standing and leaving the room… probably even the house all together. "how come you just suddenly want us to save… or get her for you?" Yusuke asks before Koenma leaves in his pink smoky way. "…I'm close friends with one of her family members and old…. Old friends… they became extremely worried about her suddenly…"

"oh… I see… well then Yusuke, its about 8 now… I guess we should be getting to her house." Kurama says while standing up. "while you guys are doing that… I'll be getting more information on her." Koenma says, then he disappears with the pink smoke of death (don't ask -_-) covering the room.

Kurama and Yusuke leave the house (which was Kurama's… ), and head towards Vera's house.

WITH VERA! ****

Vera was sitting in her room, she had just finished her homework and was sitting on her bed, still in her uniform. `I might as well… get into some other clothes…` she gets up and gets out of her uniform and gets into a shirt that was kinda new, it was dark blue, and had long sleeves. She put on jeans that were also kinda new… but then again had a hole on each knee. Vera stood and looked out of her window, and saw her fathers car role recklessly into the driveway.

`no… why couldn't he… stay where he was for the night…` She slowly backs away from the window and over to her mirror, she puts up her hair into a loose bun. Then she heard the front door open and close. It, by now, was getting kind of dark; the sun, of course, was starting to set.

She heard footsteps coming up the stairs, then, they proceeded down the hallway, and stopped at her door. She was frightened, but stood there, staring at the door. ( I just noticed… this chapter is going to be kinda short…)

She saw the doorknob turn, then the door slowly opening. Her father stepped in, he had an look of yearning in his eyes. He closed the door behind him, and locked it. HE started to walk towards her, she backed up until she couldn't go any further or she'd fall on her bed.

He put his hands on her waist and pulled her closer to him. ` what is he doing?! He's…` She struggled a little, but, since she hadn't had any food the whole week, she was to weak. He smiled evilly. He pushed her onto the bed she landed flat on her back. ` what is he doing… he's…. not even using… birth control pill!`

He gets on top of her, she struggles but, she just couldn't squirm away from him. He rips off her pants… I mean it! He literally ripped off her pants!!! "GET OFF!!!!" She screams loudly enough for the now approaching Yusuke and Kurama to hear. "What the hell was that?" asks Yusuke. "… oh no… Vera!" Kurama says, they start to run towards Vera's house, once they get there, Yusuke bursts threw the door, for it wasn't locked. Vera screams. "she's in her room… come on!!!" Yusuke says while running up the stairs. Once he gets there, he tries to open the door, but it was

locked.

"VERA!" Yusuke yells. "Yusuke?!" Vera says. "what the hell?" her father says while looking over at the door. "no matter, their not getting in here, unless they want you to be killed." Her father says loudly enough for Yusuke and Kurama to hear.

"You'd put your own daughter in danger?!" Kurama says loudly. "now, where were we?" her father looks back at her, he goes in for her shirt. Vera struggles, then lets off another scream.

"VERA!!!" Yusuke says while banging down the door. "that's it… I'm using the spirit gun!" " NO! if you do you might accidentally hitting Vera!" Kurama says before Yusuke was able to ready a spirit gun. "darn it!" Yusuke extremely pissed off. Then an another scream was heard, except this was more manly like. "what's going on in there?!" Kurama says to himself, now even more worried and getting angrier by the second. The door suddenly opens, and a dead body was lying on the ground, and Hiei was the one who had opened the door. The dead body of course belonged to Vera's father.

Yusuke looked over at the bed, and saw Vera in the far corner of her bed, with her arms around her knee's. "Vera!" Yusuke runs over to her. She was in shock, most likely scared out of her mind. "… … … … … ….Y… Yusuke… Suiichi?" she says looking them straight in the eyes. She then looked at her fathers killer, more over her savior, the one who saved her from be raped for probably the thousandth time. "come… lets get you out of here." Yusuke says while grabbing her arm lightly.

"maybe we should find her another pair of jeans…" Kurama suggested while looking over at her dresser. "yah…" Hiei just stood there, staring at Vera. Kurama finds a pair of pants/jeans and hands it to Vera. She takes them and puts them on. (no duh! What was she going to do? Wear them on her head or something?) Vera looks over at Yusuke, who was looking at her mirror.

"Yusuke… where are we going?" Yusuke looked at her. "well, for one thing, you don't need to worry, we are taking you somewhere… well more over either my house or Yusuke's, and from there we will find you a suitable place to live." Kurama says.

"we better get going… toddler breath might get inpatient and throw a temper tantrum." Yusuke mockingly. "uh… *sigh*… I won't even ask…" Vera says while following Yusuke and Kurama out of her room. But before she leaves the room, she looks around for her savior, and since it was to dark in her room, she couldn't really see what he looked like. Not seeing him there anymore, she left the room, then the house, and just followed Yusuke and Kurama. And they were talking to each other, but she couldn't hear what they were saying.

"so, who's house?" Yusuke asks. "your house is closest, so I suppose we can go to yours." Kurama says while looking behind him at Vera. "what ever…" Yusuke says while putting his hands in his pockets, and slowing down so that he was next to you.

`I'm free… he's gone now… no more pain… but… its just another thing I have to repay Yusuke for… I feel soooooo free!!!`

OK!!!!! READ PEOPLE!!!! GEZ!!!! Sorry, at the end Vera was kinda hyper… but you would be to if you just saw your rapest, drunk, lunatic father killed!!!!!
