Chapter 8 Friendship of Gold

(ok…. This title makes little since…. You'll get it as the chapter goes on)

As I said in the last chapter, a girl came bursting through the doorway. "GENKAI!!!!! I GOT THOSE HERBS YOU WERE ASKING FOR!!! AND ON THE WAY I BOUGHT CHOCOLATE!!!!!^______^" Genkai was twitching. "it took you 5 months…. Just to do that?"

"well… like I said… I bought some chocolate on the way."

The girl had long blackish brown wavy hair. Her eyes were a dark brown. Her skin was a light tan, and she had some freckles on her face. She looked about (Alyssa, I used all… well… almost all of your true features, except of your height, you will be taller) 16 (same age as Vera), and about 5'7 (also the same height as Vera). She was wearing camouflage jeans with a red tank top that said "stupidity does not run in the family." And on the back "its just me thats gots it."

"uwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Hey!!!! Who's this Genkai?"

Genkai turns to Vera who was now staring at the now sleeping Felix, totally ignoring the presence of the girl that had just rammed threw the doorway holding up a bag of herbs.

"this is Vera, she will be staying here." Genkai says snatching the herbs out of the girls hands.

"hello… what's your name?"

Vera asks while standing up and giving a half smart stance and a half smart smile, the other half was stupid ness.

" I'm Alyssa! But you can call me Kiori if you like!" Vera just stares. She had just smelt chocolate from the girl.

"*thinking* chocolate… senses…. Tingling…" she smiles mischievously and tackles the girl. "GI MEH D CHOCOLATE!!!" she yells out.

"NEVER!!!" Alyssa had totally forgotten to say hello to the other people and persons in the room. Alyssa holds up the bag in the air so Vera couldn't grab it. But, as all this was happening, some people got pretty annoyed. Suddenly, the chocolate was gone. "*Alyssa and Vera* WHERE'D THE CHOCOLATE GO???!!!" They searched franticly for the lost chocolate. But then they stopped when they heard snickering coming from Kuwabara and Yusuke. They were holding, the oh so powerful, beautiful bag of chocolate. "*both of them pointing an accusing finger* YOU!!!" They only pointed at Kuwabara, for Yusuke had thrown the bag to him, and he now had a stupid expression on his face.

"RUN KUWABARA!!! RUN!!!" Yusuke yells out at him while pushing him towards a door. He only started to run when he saw Alyssa and Vera running towards him. They both stop for a second. "you go that'da way, and I'll go this a'way." Alyssa says to her. Vera nods and goes the way other way.

MOMENTS LATER BACK IN THE LIVING ROOM!!!!

"WE'VE SLAIN THE FIEND AND NOW… WE FEAST!!!" Alyssa yells out as she starts to eat the chocolate. "want some?" Everyone falls anime style. "baka's…" "ohhhhh! HI HIEI!!!!! I DIDN'T SEE YOU THERE!!!! HOW YA DOIN BRO!!!!" Hiei twitched. "*mouth stuffed with chocolate* you welated to wim?" Vera asked kinda surprised, but to busy eating her chocolate. "yup!!!" Alyssa replies whiling also stuffing her mouth with the rich chocolate.

"hey… Vera… I want some!" Yusuke whines. "well… you should'a thought about that before you decided to steal the chocolate!!! That's like…" Vera pauses and thinks.

"KILLING US!!!" Alyssa yells out. "MURDER!!!" Vera also yells out. "AGAINST THE LAW!!!" "JUST PLAIN WRONG!!!!!!" "MESSED UP!!!!!" "DESERVES THE DEATH SENTENCE!!!!"

"WE GET THE IDEA!!!!" Koenma finally yells out. "oh… you're here too?" Alyssa says while smiling sheepishly. "are you his younger sister?" Yusuke asks realizing what Alyssa said. "yup."

"And Yukina is my…" She was cut of by Hiei banging her on the head. "OW!!! WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?!

"*thinking telepathically* you know not to tell them." Is all he said/thought to her. Then Felix growled at Alyssa because she had attempted to stuff Felix's mouth with chocolate.

"your fox is possessed!" she says to Vera while eating the chocolate herself.

"no… its just that when you tried stuffing his mouth, he thought you were trying to harm him. He has to get used to you first."

Yusuke jumps up and points a finger at the fox. "its been around us longer and it doesn't even seem to trust us what so ever!" Vera just laughs. "would you to stop bickering." Genkai says to Yusuke and Vera. "*mumbling* we weren't bickering…"

"I suggest you start finding a place to sleep, you'll be going to bed soon." Genkai says while walking out of the room. "haha! You have a bed time!" Alyssa says while laughing and pointing a finger at Vera. "shut up…" Vera stands up and walks out of the room. There was silence in the room. Vera had suddenly had a sad tone to her voice.

Vera was walking out of the door when she heard the clashing of swords. She was slightly amazed that no one else heard it. It was coming from in the forest. She hesitated…but her senses got the best of her and she walked towards the forest.

It took her a couple of minutes, but she was there. She was at the moment hiding behind a tree. She moved her head so that she could see who were fighting.

What she saw, shocked her, and also slightly scared her. 2 demons were fighting. 1 had long red hair that spiked at the end. Its ears were slightly pointed. It had huge claws. Its skin was a tinted mixture of blue and red. It had fangs that were a bright white; obviously they were really sharp. It looked about 6'1.

The other demon on the other hand, looked a little more human, and very young. He looked around Vera's age. And he was very handsome.

His hair was short and spiked and was a dark brown. And he had radiant blue eyes. But, what amazed Vera, was the huge eagle wings that were on his back. He had a bow and arrow thing on his back. He had claws, and looked about 6'4. His wings were also, like his hair, a dark brown; but the tips were black, and at the very end sliver. HE also looked very muscular.

They were both fighting with swords. Vera knew, from her view, that the winged boy could easily take out the other demon, but he was just playing with it; she could tell this from the smirk on his face.

"for the last time!!! Give me the girl!!! I know she's here!!! And I know that old hag Genkai sent you to kill me!!!" the demon yells out, the boy just keeps the smirk glued to his face. "you know a lot. But, I can't just hand her over to you."

`are theses guys talking about me` Vera was slightly confused by this whole thing. And again, there swords met, and the clashing metal sound was heard. But suddenly, the demon stood up straight, and looked at Vera's direction. Vera quickly pulled her head away, and stood as silent as possible.

"*smirk* I see instead of I having to go and get her, she has come to me." Vera breathed in sharply and her heart skipped a beat. "what?!" the boy looked shockingly over at the tree Vera was hidden behind.

`I haven't even seen her yet… I haven't seen her for a very long time… maybe its not her…` he thought to himself. Then, the demon charged at the tree. `I can't take any chances!!!`

I'm sorry that its taken me forever to update. The truth is, school is killing me…. I hate homework… it's the sickness no one can get rid of!!!!!
