Chapter 13 Slave or Mate… or Both?

Vera stirred in her sleep, and moved her head to the side. She felt a soft velvet piece of something against her cheek. She opens her eyes and sees that her head was laying on a dark blue pillow with a red rose in the middle. She looks at her surroundings and finds that she's in a room that was supposedly a bedroom. The walls were a light red; there was a big window next to a door. It had no curtains.

The bed she was laying on a soft fluffy dark red blanket. There of course was a dresser, that was black and was a type of wood Vera had never seen in her life. On the dresser was a mirror. I had a vine like decoration on the sides. She stood and walked over to the dresser, and looks at herself in the mirror.

"whoa…"

She wasn't wearing the jeans and long sleeve shirt that she was wearing before. She was now wearing a long rose red dress. It had sleeves that went to the elbows then fluttered out so that they hung from her arm. The bottom of the dress was embroidered with sparkling clear diamonds. Though, she wasn't wearing in shoes.

Her hair was also different. 2 strands were braided and pulled back and made into a bun, while the rest laid neatly brushed on her back.

She also had diamond earrings in her ears that sparkled at every movement. A necklace made out of ruby red gems was around her neck.

And her eyes seemed to of gone back to their bright green color.

Then the door to the room suddenly opened and the boy from earlier walked in and closed the door behind him. He looked over at Vera was looking over at him, and got himself caught in a daze.

"…who are you?" she asks trying not to show any fear in her voice. But failing just a little bit.

"Trako…" he says looking down at the ground.

"where am I?" Vera asks while sitting on the bed, while feeling a little bit more confident.

"in a mansion… which is in the Makai…" he answers walking over and stopping right in front of Vera.

"the Makai? Why am I here?" she asks.

"… cuz my boss wanted you…" he says not looking at Vera.

"are you a bad guy?" he asks with question in the expression on her face.

"*an expression like "What do you mean"* uh… no…"

"how's about your boss?"

"…I dunno… I guess it all depends on what's he's going to do with you."

"did he tell you why he wanted me?" she asks.

"no… all he said was to capture you and bring you here…" he says in response.

"oooookkkkk…" she says getting for some reason really comfortable with Trako's presence.

"why do you work for him?" she asks while getting in a laying position on her stomach.

"cuz I'm in dept to him for what he did for me."

"you not half bad Trako… just don't kill me and your pretty cool… how long of have you been… in dept with this guy?" she asks looking up at him.

"a long while now…" he says in a sad tone.

"oh…"

Then another guy walks in, he was around 5'11', he had slightly pointy ears, and had long dark blue hair. His eyes were a very dark shade of red. He had a dragon tail… and of course, dragon wings. He had a large sword tied to his back.

"hm… I see your finally awake." He says.

Vera quickly stands up and faces the guy and steps back so that she was right beside Trako. The man walks up to her and looks her up and down. But his attention always went from her chest, to her eyes which shown with fear at the moment.

"there is no need to be afraid, I'm not going to hurt… as long as you cooperate with me." he says in a soft voice.

"who are you?" she asks.

"hm… if you must know, I am Kuno, I am the one who sent Trako after you."

Trako looks at Kuno with no emotion. Vera was starting to wonder if he could even smile. Vera looked at the ground, wondering if the others had even found out that she was gone. And if Hiei heard her, but just didn't come to her rescue and instead went and found help. But she knew so little about Hiei because he was never around, she has no idea if he even cared about her.

Kuno put his hand under Vera's chin, and lifted her head up.

"no need to feel sad or anything… such a beautiful face shouldn't be wasted on frowning." He says looking her straight in the eyes.

Vera looked away and saw that Trako had left.

"oh, don't worry, Trako is just going on guard duty, making sure there are no intruders."

`I hope there are intruders and I hope the intruders will be Hiei and others…`

"come with me, I will show you to a more comfortable area where you can truly relax."

At first Vera just stands there, but when he grabs her hand, she had no choice but to go. As they walked down the hallways, which were bare except for a few torches and paintings, Vera felt as if she was being watched. Once they finally got to the room, Vera was tired and could just fall asleep anywhere.

When she walks into the room, it had a huge fireplace that had a shelf over it, that had music boxes, little statues made out of pearl, gems, diamonds, rubies… so on and so forth.

The fireplace was the only light in the room. And right in front of it was a long couch that had a curve in it. Its covering looked like polar bear fur. And there was a mini table right next to it that you could place little things like drinks.

"Trako comes in here once and a while to be alone, so if he comes in here and completely ignores you, don't be offended by it." Kuno informs her as she takes a seat on the couch.

"I have to tend to some business, if you need anything, ask one of the maids." He says while bowing slightly and leaving the room.

`he's acting as if I'm going to be living here or something… and as if I'm some sorta princess................. maybe its because I am a princess… or maybe its cuz this guys a pervert and wants me to start to like him so he can get it on with me… which is never going to happen.`

She sighs and leans back on the couch. `the fireplace is pretty comforting and warm.` She slowly closes her eyes, and drifts off to sleep.

WITH THE OTHERS!!!!!!!!!!

They had stepped through a portal, and, unlike what Koenma and Boton had said, they weren't at a mountain, they were more like 9 miles away from one.

"wait till I get my hands on the pacifier sucking toddler!" Yusuke says pretending that he was strangling someone or something.

"if we keep standing around like this we're not going to get anywhere." Genkai says looking into the distance.

They might have been far away from one, but they could still see a huge mountain in the distance.

"so we should go now if we want to get there by dark." She says turning to Kurama and Hiei.

Kurama looks over at Hiei who was just standing and looking at the mountain.

"whats wrong Hiei?" he asks.

"I think there's more than one person involved in this." He says not taking his eyes off the mountain.

"who else do you think might be involved?" Erin asks.

"hn" is all he says before looking over at Erin.

"Mukuro…"

yes, *evil laugh* Mukuro has something to do with Vera's capture! MUWAHAHA!!!!! She will play a big part in the story later on.
