Kieko let the sound of the falling rain calm her mind. She had just come from talking with Botan. The ferry girl had been asked by Yusuke to check on her, it was to say the least unexpected and it took all of her strength not to throw the blue haired deity out.

Sighing she lifted the clay cup to her lips letting the soothing liquid pass through to her throat. The warmth radiating out into her body as it went down. She smirked when she thought of how the other girl would have reacted had she actually done some of the things floating around in her head.

However, she didn't she had to keep those kinds of thoughts, those dark images from her mind. If anyone found out they might question her sanity, even Yusuke and the gang might question her.

Glancing out the window, she noted the rain was letting up, the clouds breaking and showing the clear night sky above. Her lips curved into a seductive smirk while her eyes began to glow with an unfulfilled desire. One she was sure was going to be sated very soon.

While she gazed out at the night sky she let her mind wander, let the darker thoughts bleed through the barrier she had created years ago. She couldn't tell you when it had started, it might have always been there lying dormant hidden with in the deepest darkest reassess of her mind, waiting for something to trigger it.

Funny that something was actually a someone. They had opened up a door that she had thought forgotten. It was where all her bad thoughts were, where all the naughty things, all the darker things lay hidden. He let them out, with one look, one second of eye contact was all it took to release the lock and let it all come tumbling out.

Coming out of her thoughts she glanced over towards the far wall, it was already 3 a.m. time to getting going. Shifting slightly she stood up not making the slightest of noise. After all when your friends with demons you pick up the most interesting and useful talents. Placing the money on the table, she disappeared out the door, the chime tinkling overhead as she passed through.

Those things never worked.

It was actually warm for it being late autumn; the leaves were still hanging on the trees. A collection of reds, yellows, and oranges smattered the barren branches of the trees that dotted the sidewalk. A soft wind freeing a few strands of hair causing them to tickle her face as she made her way down the street.

She loved the night. Always had but it wasn't until a few years ago that she knew why. It was why she was first attracted to Yusuke. The danger he presented the darkness that surrounded him but as they grew up she found out that his darkness was fading. Ironic that it was because of her, she chuckled the husky sound causing a few of the males around her to glance her way.

She tucked a stray strand behind her ear before glancing their way. Rounding the corner, she slipped into an ally her footfalls hardly echoing in the empty tunnel.
Darting quickly to the left she cut down a narrow path before coming out and heading to the right.

The night's shadow growing larger as she left the safety of the city and its lights behind. She never really liked feeling safe anyway look who she hung out with. Now where's the safety in that?

Coming to the end, she took a quick left heading down a flight of stairs her fingers just barely touching the cool metal railing as she made her way down. Just as her foot touched the bottom, she glanced up in time to see the light flicker on above the sign. She was at the entrance to the city park, the same park where she got her first taste of real darkness. She could feel her blood heat as the images flashed through her mind making her lips part in a silent gasp.

Closing her eyes she slipped through the gates, the rusty metal groaning in protest as she pushed it aside, the chain lying broken and forgotten on the ground. She knew this path; she had taken it many times before. Even when the danger had slipped away, something darker seemed to still linger and it had called to her.

It seemed to be getting cooler the further in she walked, the shadows dancing around her as the clouds flew by overhead blocking out the moon every now and then. Rubbing her arms she quickened her pace feeling her heart beat speed up with it. She could feel it; something was going to happen tonight.

As she came to the bend in the path she veered off into the woods, the leaves rustling overhead as the wind circled around. The constant beating of her heart gave her cause to pause in her step. A small part of her was demanding she turn and head back to the way she always went, however the voice was drowned out as her desire rose up.

Ducking under a branch she could feel the anticipation welling up inside her, she was getting closer. As she slipped through the trees, a few drops of water slipped down and hit her shoulder. Wetting her lips, she took the last few steps forwards only to halt as the sound of a twig snapping reached her ears. The tattoo was getting louder the longer she stood there listening. A few feet to the right another twig broke, with out giving thought she broke into a run, her body tingling with fear and excitement as she made her way through the forest.

She came stumbling back out onto a path her hands scraping against the dirt and gravel as she tried to right herself, the feeling of being hunted coursing through her veins fueling her body. A gasp was torn from her lips when cool fingers brushed up against her neck.

Digging her heels into the ground, she forced her body to move. Only when it was too late did she realize it was a dead end. The large cement wall blocking off her escape route. Whirling around to face her stalker, she found the area around her empty. Confused sienna eyes darted around before glancing back towards the wall, her shadow blinking in and out, as the streetlamp flickered overhead.

Disappointment settled over her as some part of her sighed in relief. Chewing on her lower lip, she turned to leave only to suddenly jerk back her mouth opening in a silent scream. Large sienna eyes watched in fascination as a tall dark figure emerged from the darkness to stand before her. His body literally melting out of the shadows around them, his moonlit kissed skin a stark contrast to his dark clothing and hair.

“Don't look so disappointed songbird. I'm here aren't I? Came the dark voice

Keiko literally felt her heart stop her lungs no longer able to supply oxygen as she stood their like a deer caught in headlights. She could feel it snaking through her body as he moved closer to her. His glittering black eyes holding her to the spot just as a wave of heat seemed to settle in the air around them.

Her whole body trembled whether from fear or excitement she wasn't able to tell. Wasn't sure if she was ever able to tell because so far nothing could compare to the feeling he was getting out of her from just looking at her. When cool fingers glided over her cheek and down to her lips only to ghost over them did she react. Her brain kick starting her body making her gasp to pull in the air she so desperately needed.

While she took in the much-needed oxygen the dark stranger let his thumb move over her parted lips, watching as her eyes cleared and looked to his. He could see the dark aura swirling around her, so much, so it caused him to grin in anticipation. She would be sweet.

Grin still in place he tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, his fingers sliding down the silky strand before gliding across her jaw line. He could feel the heat radiating off her body along with the most enticing scent. Stepping back, he placed his hands carefully in his pockets his eyes never leaving her own.

“Not afraid are you? You did call after all and I never leave a lady's call unanswered.”

He watched as her eyes darkened and her body shivered as his words washed over her. He was going to enjoy this one very much. When she shifted and took a step back he let his grin widen glad that she wanted to play.

“Going to run?” he asked as he ran his fingers through his hair

He could feel it the exact moment when she chose to run, her heart skipped before she whirled around and raced back into the trees, the only sound reaching his ears was the irregular tattoo of her heart. Smirking up at the moon, he melted back into the shadows.

Keiko raced through the trees, the wet leaves, and branches slapping against her exposed skin as she tried to find a way out. She knew he was close the feeling of being stalked coursed up her spine just as the darkness seemed to swallow her. She stopped suddenly straining her eyes before catching a glimpse of him, a fleeting shadow if that as it passed in the branches overhead.

Darting to the right she made for the narrow pathway leading to the forgotten atrium she knew was there. As she came closer to it her fingers just scant inches from the glass doors was when she felt a hand circle around her waist. The primitive urge to fight awoke inside her and she twisted around her hand whipping through the air to strike him only to feel herself falling forwards.

He watched as she hit the ground a sound of pained surprise escaping her mouth when she realized he wasn't there. Staying in the shadows, he watched as she climbed to her feet, dark eyes moving around before she turned back towards the glass building. Her slender figure disappearing inside the darkness around her pulling him in.

Smirking he slipped through the shadows watching as she moved cautiously through the old building. Glass crunching with every step she made, her body trembling at every little noise, at every shifting shadow. He could hear the soft panting noise she made as she cornered herself in the center of the room, the only spot cast in light.

`How fitting' was his only thought before he let the shadows slip away revealing his form to her. It seemed as though she hadn't been expecting that for her body trembled even more and she took a step back only to jerk away as a tendril of darkness snaked out to caress her ankle.

“How?” came the breathy question

Taking a few measured steps towards her he shrugged his shoulders with fluid grace as he continued to stalk towards her.

“I am darkness, shadows follow me where ever I go.”

He stopped at the rim of light just a few inches away from the girl herself. He watched amused as she once more licked her lips, her large dark eyes taking in his form again before stopping on his face. He noticed her eyes lingered a little bit longer on his mask before going back to his eyes.

“Curiosity killed the cat you know.” He whispered as he leaned in towards her his face so close to hers that their breaths intermingled. “ But then you aren't a cat are you my little songbird.”

Keiko watched mesmerized by his gaze as slender fingers slid up his neck and rested on the dark metal cage hiding his face from her. His eyes glittered with mocking laughter as he slowly pulled the mask away revealing a pair of smirking red lips. She felt the blood pounding in her veins as the fire raged through her.

Still smirking he leaned in his lips brushing up against her own before moving over her cheek, his warm breath feathering against her skin. His fingers brushing against her collarbone before ghosting down her arm.

“Not going to sing for me?” came the husky whisper

She felt as his fingers grazed her arm before sliding down to trace her curves twisting around to the small of her back to pull her forward, her hips slamming into his own. A small cry fell from her lips at the friction the contact caused, he could feel his lips against the hallow of her throat brushing kisses there before letting his tongue snake out to lick a trail up to her ear. She shuddered at the feeling pushing her hips into his her fingers digging into his shoulders as he nipped at her skin, his teeth scrapping against the sensitive flesh.

When he bit down, she moaned her head lolling back to give him better access. She felt him grind against her his hand locking her in place while the other traveled up her back slipping into her silky chestnut locks. When something brushed against the inside of her thigh did she open her eyes.

Half lidded she glanced down to find a shadowy tendril snaking up her leg, she gasped when it brushed against her core. Her eyes slipping shut as it passed over it once more. She wanted to ask `how' but her voice was lost to her.

“I told you songbird. I am a shadow.” Where the whispered words before his mouth finally claimed her own stifling a cry as the tendril spilt and began to spread.

The shadows slipped over her heated flesh, sliding over her most secret spots pulling moans and cries from her lips only to have them swallowed by the man above her. She could feel herself sinking further into the darkness her mind cloudy with desire as another stroke caused her to arch into him her nails biting into his flesh.

`Flesh?'

Opening lust-dazed eyes she noticed they were lying down, the moon above casting him in utter darkness as he loomed above her. His long black hair forming a curtain around her as he leaned down to capture her lips in another kiss, hips pushing her down into the floor.

Ripping her mouth away, she screamed as the glass tore into her flesh the more he pushed against her, those shadowy tendrils ghosting over her bruised skin turning the screams of pain into ones of pleasure. She could feel his hands as they moved over every inch of her body, stopping at her hips to push her roughly into the glass below them, his mouth closing over one breast at the same time.

Her head whipped back and forth, mouth speaking in silent words as he lavished her with his talented mouth and tongue biting down sharply only to soothe leaving large marks and lines behind. Shifting her legs further apart in a silent call, she let her hands roam over his back, tracing the muscle there before gliding around to the front and moving down his chest to his stomach until they reached their destination.

A sharp intake of breath was the only reaction she received. Smirking she let her fingers trace over the soft skin before squeezing silently. She watched as his head dipped forwards to rest on her stomach his hands gripping tightly at her hips. As she continued her assault, she felt the shadowy tendrils move languidly along her body snaking down her arms before wrapping around her wrists and yanking them back.

She could feel his breath against her skin, his tongue as it slipped out to trace the shell of her ear. Shivering she stopped her struggling and let him move against her. A deep cry was pulled from her throat when he entered her, his hips grinding into her own while the glass pierced her backside.

She felt her body being shifted, her legs lifted. Automatically she locked her ankles around his waist as he roughly pounded into her. She could feel it now even more so than before, the darkness was consuming her, and she didn't care. A particular stroke caused her to cry out and arch up the bits of bloodied glass embedding themselves in her shoulder blades.

She could feel his gaze on her and it only made the desire grow. With every ounce of will she possessed she opened her eyes. Their gazes locking as he pounded into her, his mouth twisted in a wicked smirk. She watched dazed as he leaned down his mouth ravishing hers before traveling to her ear.

“Sing for me.” Came the dark command

That was what broke her, those growled words as he pulled out to the tip before slamming back into her. She did cry out her body convulsing around him, pulling him in further and causing him to find his own release a few moments after her.

When the fog cleared and her eyes refocused did she notice he was still inside her and ready for more. Reaching out she brushed the hair from his face before trailing around to trace his lips, stained dark red a few drops dotting his face and chest. Confusion clouded her eyes as she stared up at him, he only smirked down at her his fingers touching her own skin to come up bloodied.

“Stay with me.” Came the whisper as his fingers brushed against her lips

Pulling the digits into her mouth, she sucked them clean before pulling him down for a kiss, her tongue sweeping through his mouth warring with his own. Pulling away, she nipped at him before moving down his chest. Her answer drifting up to him as he shuddered from the pleasure she was causing.

“Always.”
