Yu Yu Hakusho Fan Fiction ❯ Delicia the Electric ❯ Two ( Chapter 2 )
This time there is only Teshi, Bunny and Jeff in the comfy room. Bunny is curled up on some throw pillows and reading `The Forgotten Beasts of Eld', Jeff is sprawled out on the couch and for all appearances sleeping, and the authoress, Teshi, is typing away on her laptop. Then the door creeps open and a person dressed up as a squirrel tiptoes into the room. At the sound of the door opening, Bunny and Jeff look over towards the door.
"…I don't wanna know…"Bunny whispered as the guy walked passed them and stood behind Teshi.
The guy leans forward a little bit and taps her on the shoulder. Teshi Turns her head and looks at the squirrel person. They stared at each other for a good 3 seconds before Teshi screamed and jumped up. The squirrel person chased Teshi around the room while both Jeff and Bunny looked at each other wondering what was going on. The squirrel person could be heard making a noise as he chased her.
"Chikoo, Chikoo, Chikoo…"
Jeff, being a bit tired of hearing Teshi's screams, stuck his foot out and tripped the squirrel person. As the squirrel person falls his mask goes flying, revealing short brown hair, blue eyes and fair skin. Teshi stops running and looks at the culprit that scared her.
"Jake?!" Teshi cried as she recognized him.
"Hehehe, hey Teshi…" Jake replied.
Before the scene could escalate any further Bunny looks at the readers.
"Standard disclaimer applies."

After Delicia walked out of sight from the group she began to run. She didn't really care where she went as long as she was able to get away from them. They where always around, never giving her any time to herself. It seemed as if they didn't trust her to not get in trouble or to not be able to protect herself. Which they had no reason to believe that she was incapable of protecting herself. Delicia was deadly with a staff, glaive or spear; not to mention hand-to-hand combat.
Delicia was so caught up in her own thoughts that she did not notice that she was being followed, which surprised Iqi. Delicia was not usually so preoccupied with her own thoughts as to not notice that she was trailing her. So as Delicia ran towards the forest Iqi followed.
Without knowing exactly how she got there, Delicia stopped running only to find herself in the park. So she walked over to a near by tree and began to sit down in the shade when she noticed a shadow moving just beyond the tree line.
`By the Gods! Why can't they leave me alone!' Delicia thought as she straightened out and turned towards the shadow. It was easy to tell it was Iqi. She at least stayed back enough to give me some `room' to think, Aubrey would have walked right out and have demanded an answer for the way I had acted.
"Iqi-san, I know that you are there. So there is no reason to stay hidden." Delicia said as she leaned back on the tree.
At that the sleek black jaguar slowly padded out into view, but she didn't stay in that shape for long. As she walked she slowly transformed into her human form. The black fur turned into skin that looked like it reflected moonlight, even in the daylight. She stood to her full 5'0" ` s of her height. She had the milky green eyes of jade and long creamed colored hair that fell to her waist. She was as delicately featured as a cat, and just as agile.
"I was wondering how long it would take you to notice me." She replied. "So, do you wanna talk about what has you grumpy, Delicia?"
Delicia just shrugged her shoulders and turned her head towards a tree not four feet to her right.
"Alright, but I'm here if you want to." With that said she laid down on the ground and did a very cat - like stretch, then closed her eyes.
`I wish I could explain to Iqi that I can feel his presence here, and that I can feel he has become the very thing that we have been fighting against ever since we began looking for him. A demon…'
~ ~ ~ Flash back ~ ~ ~
In Delicia's mind she saw the old country styled living room that her grandmother used to entertain them in when she and Mikel visited her. It had light tan walls with a dark brown couch, brown over - stuffed chair, a dark brown love seat, and throw pillows every where. At this particular visit six-year-old Delicia was curled up on one of the throw pillows and an eleven-year-old Mikel was stretched out on the love seat. They where listening to Grandma Oranus tell them about their heritage.
"…and your great-great-great grandma Doris Chandelling married the demon Boris Oranus…"
At that Mikel shot up and looked extremely startled while Delicia just curled up into herself even more. Demons where bad creatures that had killed mommy and keep trying to kill them.
"We have demon blood in us?!" exclaimed Mikel. That got Delicia's attention even more than the talk of a demon.
Grandma Oranus nodded and said in a quiet voice, "We do, but it has been dormant in both your father and you two. Although it seems that the both of you have a very powerful dormant power within you that, should it be awakened, would put your natural witch powers to shame. An it is the fear of that power that has the demon's trying to kill you two. For they know that should your dormant powers be awakened that they will not be able to withstand one of you, let alone both of you, should you decide to get revenge on them for your mother's death. Your father will protect you two for as long as you can, but when he dies it will be up to you, Mikel, to protect your sister."
"I will, Nana. I give you my word." Mikel answered with his hand over his heart.
"Good, now remember. `A witch is as good as his word.' So don't you go back on it."
"I wont, Nana."
"What kind of demon powers do we have, Nana?" asked Delicia in her small child voice.
Grandma Oranus just smiled and shook her head. "That is something to be talked about on another day."
But that was to never be. That night demons attacked her and killed her. Darrin's demon assassins killed our only living grandparent.
~ ~ ~ End of flashback ~ ~ ~
Delicia closed her eyes and shed a tear in memory of her dead grandmother. `May she be free of torment and danger in her next life. So mote it be.'
After about an hour of just relaxing in the park both Iqi and Delicia returned to the flat that they shred with the group.

"Well that is it for the second chapter." Said Teshi happily. "I know, I know. I said I would not post anymore chapters until I got four more reviews, but I couldn't help it. Oh! And I thank all my reviewers that did review. Especially Nenagh24, being that she is the only reviewer that I do not know personally. Well that's it. Please review!"
