Hidden Surprises
Chapter 1: Hidden Signs
A slight Groan escaped from the Silver Kitsune's Mouth as he leaned his head back feeling another contraction hit. He
rolled onto his side hoping the pain would soon go away as his baby slowly began to move around in his belly ready to be
born into the word. The Kitsune stretched uncomfortably as he took deep breaths soon feeling the pain go away.
"Easy my Kit you'll be born soon." He said rubbing his stomach and rolling back onto his back.
"Huh?" A young boy said sitting up, his face covered in sweat as he looked around finding himself in the infirmary of
the school. He looked around confused and brought a hand to his forehead. He hadn't remembered what had happened earlier,
he was just fine the whole day today, Except for when he got to his English class. That's right he had fainted and now he was
here in one of the school beds. He looked up hearing the door click as the nurse and a few of his friends came in.
"Hey there feeling better?" A young black haired boy asked
"Yeah you gave us a scare when you fainted like that." A carrot top haired boy said as he leaned over.
"I'm sorry I've been feeling extremely dizzy as of late, and I'm not sure why." The handsome young redhead said as
he felt another spell come as he fell back on the bed.
The boy woke up later finding himself in his own bed with a bowl of warm soup on his nightstand. He smiled a little
since he was hungry and sat up slowly. Taking the bowl he slowly began to eat enjoying the soup and smiled when he
finished. He looked up hearing a knock on his door followed bye a quiet and gentle voice.
"Shuichi, Are you alright?" Shiori Minamino asked.
"I'm alright mother, the soup helped a little." He called back and st the bowl on the table as he lay down and closed
his eyes as he got lost in his dreams again.
The Silver Kitsune sat down letting a painful groan escape his lips as he rubbed his round and swollen belly. He
made a soft mm sound when he felt the first movements of the kit that grew within him. Smiling he placed both hands to his
stomach as he rubbed it with utmost care.
"Yoko How come your tummy is so big?" A younger Kitsune asked.
"Because, I'm with child." Was the Older Kitsune's reply as he placed the child's hand on his belly.
A few weeks later while Yoko was on his afternoon walk he felt a sharp pain in his stomach and gasped as he
doubled over in pain.
"That's it Yoko, Push down again." A female demon coached.
Yoko bit back a scream as he continued pushing for what seemed like hours. He fell back against his pillows
breathing deeply as he gripped the sheets feeling another strong contraction as he pushed with them. He fell back against
his pillows a little later and breathed,
"Come on you can do it." The demon said.
"I can't..." He said.
"Yes you can come now push the head out." The nurse said as a bright light flashed and Yoko felt his stomach burn
as he grabbed it and screamed.
"No my baby!" He screamed.
Karama woke up screaming as he grabbed his head and his mother and father ran in and went to his side. Karama's
eyes widened a frightened look as he looked around and took his hands from his head as he looked at his hands and
screamed as he buried his face in his hands and cried.
Shuichi...calm down its Okay." Shiori said hugging her son and rocking him.
Karama continued crying on his mothers shoulder as he shook fearful about the dream and what happened. My Kit....
Yoko said in his mind as Karama hugged his mother and let her rock him.
After about two hours Karama seemed to be sleeping peacefully once more and woke up feeling much better as he
slid out of bed. He walked into his bathroom and turned the sink faucet as water began to pour fourth. Splashing some on his
face he sighed as he looked up in his mirror wondering what those dreams were about, and why Yoko was showing them to
him. He knew it was the ancient fox that slept within him showing him these things, after all he didn't just randomly have
dreams like that. He wondered what the elder fox was trying to tell him as he grabbed a towel and wiped his face and the bits
of his hair that had gotten wet.
"Feeling better Fox?"
Karama jumped at the sound of Hiei's voice and looked at him sitting on the window sill, the window behind him
was open meaning the fire demon had decided to use his normal way of getting into the house. Now that really struck him as
surprising. Not Hiei popping up out of the blue, seeing as how he often did that, but it had been months since he had seen his
former partner in crime and teammate. He wondered what he wanted and smiled as the look of surprise faded from his
handsome face.
"A little bit. I think all that rest helped."
"It should have you've been out for a few hours now." Hiei replied.
"Hours?"
Karama looked surprised as he turned his head seeing it was now nighttime outside. He wondered if he had really
been asleep that long and looked at Hiei again. The little fire demon hadn't really grown much since he last saw him, though
the calm and cold attitude was there, he also sense something else in the fire demon. And that was worry, he was probably
worried about him seeing as how the two were lovers, but Hiei's alliance with Mukuro seemed to have kept the two apart for
months on end and when they did get a chance to see each other, it wound up being for a very short time, then they would
share a quick kiss and Hiei would go off and leave for another few months, to come back and repeat the same process.
"Yeah, come on Yuuske wanted us to meet at Genkai's place Koenma informed us of a new mission." Hiei said.
"And you actually want to go?" Karama asked.
"Actually I'm not wanting either of us to go." He said sliding off the window sill as he watched Karama change
Karama put his pants on and looked back at Hiei. Now he knew something was up if Hiei didn't want either of them
at the meeting. Hiei knew something was up even before it would happen, now Karama was starting to become nervous.
"Hiei...why don't you want us going?"
"Because its about the energy growing within you, have you noticed as of late?"
"Hiei I've just been putting on a little weight is all. Nnn." Karama said as he felt another dizzy spell come and
collapsed into his lover's arms.
"And the dizzy spells? Fox the only reason you've been feeling like this is because your Energy is being absorbed."
Hiei explained.
