Chapter Two
Encounters ...

Kazuma Kuwabara officially hated Yusuke's car. It was very small for a four-door and it was painfully obvious from his constant complaining that Kuwabara could not drive standard very well.
“Stupid Urameshi getting kidnapped by that thing. What the hell does he think we're supposed to do going to some stupid shrine?” Something in the car started making a grinding noise, “stupid car, why the hell did he get this stupid thing anyway his bike was good enough.”
“Maybe he got it because he knew you wouldnt drive it,” quiped the short, spiky-haired, demon in the back seat.
“Why don't you just shut up, shorty,” Kuwabara shot back.
“Now, now you two,” said a red haired man from next to Kuwabara, “according to the map, we are almost there. Do you think you can be civil for a few more minutes at least?”
“I could have gotten here faster on my own,” Hiei stated.
“Yeah, if you knew where it was,” Kuwabara said, turning into the shrine.
“I don't need directions from a blockhead like you.”
“Who are you callin a blockhead!?” he exclaimed defencively.
“The idiot who's driving, youre so thick you cant even sence that fox demon.”
“What fox dem...” Kuwabara's breaks screached as he narrowly missed hitting a man covered in red fur. “Where the hell...”
Before he could finish, Kuwabara found himself outside of the car, on his back, staring into the growling face of, what he could only describe as, a dog man.
“Who the hell do you think you are, coming here in that thing and chasing down my son?” The man demanded.
“He is not your son, half-breed,” Hiei said from the back seat.
“You got a problem with me and who I call family, devil, then you can wait till I get done with this piece of trash.”
“Why would a full blooded fox-demon ever call a thing like you, 'father?' “
“Because he is my father,” the fox-demon proclaimed.
“Look, I'm sure all of this is a misunderstanding, I came here because Urameshi told me too, I didn't come here hunting demons. Heck, I came here with demons,” Kuwabara said from the ground.
“Yusuke Urameshi? You know him? You must know Keiko too.”
“Yeah, he told me to come here when he Keiko and that other chick with the long hair, got snatched by that tenticle thing.”
“Long hair? Tell me what happened.”
“Keiko had just got done shopping when some tentacle thing popped out of the ground and snatched 'em. Then some chick with long hair shot it with an arrow and it grabbed her too. Then they all faded out and Urameshi told me to come here. This is the Higurashi Shrine, right?”
The half-demon let loose a line of curses that would make any sailor faint on the spot from embarrassment. He let Kuwabara go and ran off towards the house.
The fox-demon rubbed the back of his head, “you'll have to forgive my father, he doesn't have any manners.”
Kurama smiled, “no worries, none of these boys do either.”
The fox's tail twiched, “you smell ... odd, are you a fox demon in a human body?”
“You have a very sharp nose.”
“A little too sharp sometimes, my dad says.”
“Why's that?”
“I can always smell when he's doing things with momma.”
An old man wondered up to them, “visitors eh, try not to scare them off.”
“Grandfather, they aren't here to visit the shrine.”
“Are you friends of Kagome's then?”
Just then the half-dog-demon called for them and the detectives were lead to the house by the fox-demon.
