Tree's and sores

The house was small, from the door we cam threw all I could see was the living room. But what a sight it was a small TV in the corner was carelessly left on to a strange channel I had never seen before it looked like the news so I forgot about it and looked around. First I saw Hiei he was less then pleased to meet us.

"Back so soon Koenma" Hiei said coldly

"Botan will you take Ashley, Alex, Melissa and Hailey to there rooms" koenma said just as cold as Hiei.

Botan lead us away from the living room to a pink and green room "Melissa, Hailey this will be your room" Botan said cheerful as she could manage. Then she led me and Alex to a half black half purple door "your rooms have bean color coded by your favorite colors. Ashley, your stuff is black and Alex, your stuff is purple." Then she left, I pushed open the door and was greeted by a pool of black and purple. There was a Black dresser to the left side of the room and a purple one right next to it, there was a purple bed with purple pillows and a purple night stand next to it my bed mimicked it on the other side of the room only my bed was of cores black. There was one wind for each right over there beads and a black and purple light on each night stand.

"We might as well unpack" I said as happy as I could manage.

"It's definitely dark enough in this room for you Ashley, you all ways liked the dark" Alex said then detecting the sadness in my voice asked "what's wrong?"

"If our parents back in Douglas aren't our real parents then who is?" I said sadly looking up at Alex (I was always much shorter then Alex but my small form gave me speed)

"I asked Botan the same question in the car but she said `after our parents lost us they where never seen again'" Alex said adding to the heavy weight already resting on my shoulders.

"Then that steles the deal it, I will get a Jaganshi in planted to find our parents once the training is done" I said solemnly I didn't want a Jaganshi but it was the only way to find them. After we unpacked our bags in to our color coded rooms Koenma's head popped threw the door

"Are you two ready for diner I ordered pizza but before you go down fetch your friends" then he left quick as he came through the door.

"Let's go I'm starved" Alex said

"Yep we haven't eaten since thin afternoon if you count cafeteria lunches as `food'" snickering I lead the way to Missy's and Hailey's room.

"It's time for diner you guy's lets go they got pizza!" Alex called to Hailey and Missy, before missy and Hailey left I caught a quick glance at there room it was the same exact thing only Missy's side of her room was covered with pitchers of singers and actors she liked. (Witch practically covered the hole room) even her dresser was cram packed with photos of people she thought to be `hot'

<How will Hailey sleep with all thoughts eyes watching her every move?> I thought glad to be in a room with Alex rather then missy. We all walked down the hall way to great the inhabitants of this home for empty chairs where prepared for use and 6 boxes of pizza where sitting on the table. Kuwabara was eying the pizza anxiously waiting for use to sit. Once we where all seated missy and Kuwabara lunged for a box of pizza devouring it the instant it touched there plates before I could touch the pizza two more boxes where already gone there where only two boxes left, Missy and Kuwabara lunged for the last boxes but before they could get to them I yelled

"Touch it and die" Missy listened to me knowing I meant it but Kuwabara was too stupid to listen so he paid the price before he could snatch both boxes I grabbed his arm and twisted as hard as I could since I caught him of guard he was easily to inflicted pain to.

"What did you do that for?" he muttered

"You do not want to be on my bad side Kuwabara you do not" I watched his stunned face and slowly apologized for my rudeness to koenma. Not wishing to abandon the chance of being a spirit detective and Hiei's apprentice.

Alex was the first one to eat. Since she knew me best she knew that I was in a bad mood so she cheered me up. "Missy and Kuwabara have more in common then I thought, they both have a VEARY big appetite and cant stop tacking about there crushes looks like Hailey isn't going to get mush sleep tonight!" she whispered in my ear as I reached for a slice of plane pizza.

"And there both foolishly in love with someone" I added to the dirt we had gathered on Kurama and Missy. I ate very little because after seeing Missy and Kurama eat so fast that I had lost my appetite.

That night I didn't slept, I woke in the middle of the night drenched in cold sweet. I needed to be some where, where I couldn't hear Missy snoring from across the hall! I stood up and got dressed then I looked at the clock It was midnight I looked out the window to watch the wind rustle the leaves on the trees, TREES that was it! I gathered up my sketch book, pencil and flash light and jumped out the window the night was cold and dark but enough light can from the moon to see for instants me in the tree! So I chose a tree where I could see the house but they couldn't see me. I climbed up to the highest branch and looked out at the moon. Replacing my flash light into my pocket I picked up my pencil and sketch book, a small black book with crinkled off-Wight pages. I found a blank page and began to draw, I don't know how long I sat there sketching before I heard the birds chirping to great the rising sun but my 157 page sketch book was more then half full by the time I heard Alex, Hiei, Botan, Missy, and Hailey calling my name but I ignored them wanting to be found rather then for me to seam like a helpless lost girl that hear there pleas asking for me to come. No, I wasn't running away more or less escaping finding a quiet place to cool of (and in my case get away from missy's and Kuwabara's symphony of snoring!) then I saw the black blur followed close by a more colorful one Alexandra and Hiei had found me in my tree. Though I was not startled I had always managed to keep my cool under the toughest of times. Hiei landed on my branch and waited for Alex to catch up.

"I thought I'd find you hear, Ashley you and trees always went together" Alex said more perky then normal.

"What are you doing up hear" Hiei asked me coldly If he was to make the choice of to come looking for me or not he would have left me hear.

"I thought a fray train was going by, listening to Missy's and Kuwabara's symphony of snores so I decided to get one moment of quiet outside" I told him staring him in the eye as if to stare down a black bear.

Gust then Alex cracked up with a laugh that threatened to shake use all out of the small tree branch `I thought I was going def listening to those two god thing we all don't snore or the house would fall apart and we would haft to live with my friends the squirrels"

"Stop" I said harshly my vice rang out like the clang of the dong then I jumped from the tree.

"What the hell do you think your doing?" Hiei said alarmed but I landed cat like and shouted up at them

"Jump down the tree branch is breaking it cant hold use all!" I screamed up at them. Hiei followed me and jumped of the branch and landing like a cat. But Alex was much larger then use (NOT FAT just taller) climbed down. Once we where all of the tree and one the solid ground Hiei lead us to the house I hade a trouble keeping up with him but some how stayed just ahead of Alex .
