Anyway on with the story, and once more please review if you read it.~

Exploding Anger Rising Passion

“Let's take a different road,” Hinageshi said looking to the fog covering the ground and how steep the drop was. There was no way they should go down there, besides who knew what was waiting beneath that fog.

“No, it makes no difference…” Kurama whispered as he stared out at the fog, something wasn't quite right here, and they hadn't even made it that close to the actual site where the enemy had taken Botan and the orb in which she had hidden, but if they actually managed to find it he knew the entire world would end as they know it.

“You are correct…” a shadowed figure spoke before making his way out into the open appearing before team Urameshi causing everyone to stare in surprise.

“Kuronue!” Kurama gasped staring into the face of his former partner, lover, and friend. He had fought him earlier, and had ended up injured as he refused to actually fight and spent most of his time dodging blows, but had gotten careless trying to talk Kuronue out of this madness.

“You know him?” Yusuke asked his eyes looking over to Kurama in surprise, along with everyone else especially Hiei.

“He was a partner of mine back when I was a thief…” Kurama answered leaving out the part about them having been lovers… he hadn't exactly lied… just left a lot of the truth out. Sighing he stepped forward out of the back, where he had stood behind the others.

“Let me take care of it.”

Kuronue smirked, his old partner had become so predictable… it would figure he would want to fight him himself to keep the others safe, or was it more than that?

“Kurama… are you still against your old partner?”

Kurama flinched openly and refused to meet Kuronue's gaze, whatever had happened to his friend, he was no longer the demon he once knew.

“His old partner? Is he okay?” Kuwabara asked looking over at Hiei who didn't answer, but just stared at Kurama in his normal silence.

Kuronue wasted no time jumping from the scaffold where he was standing into the fog beneath him, issuing a challenge and a dare out to the fox he had once loved and befriended.

“Come Kurama.”

Kurama ran forward looking around; he didn't want to take a risk jumping down into the mist not knowing what was beneath him. Finally spotting an elevator he ran toward it and got in. Looking up he pushed the button allowing it to take him down into the battle he knew he wouldn't be able to avoid any longer.

“Kurama!”

Kurama sighed hearing Yusuke call his name and the look of worry that flickered in Hiei's eyes. Frowning he forced his gaze away looking down to the fog in pained silence. I am sorry guys… you can't help me now. As the elevator came to a stop he stepped out looking around in silence through the fog. Damn. He couldn't see a thing!

A sudden gasp tore from his lips as a humming sound whispered past his ear sending his hair flowing about him, causing him to turn around to look over his shoulder to find the source only to see another swinging blade hum past him again. Moving into a fighting stance he cursed under his breath. This wasn't good.

Kuronue watched Kurama with narrowed eyes hidden in the shadowed fog his pendant swaying back and forth between clasped fingers. He till couldn't sense him and he shook his head truly disgusted. Kurama had grown weak.

“You are truly despicable.”

Kurama froze and felt a chill of fear roll down his spine, his eyes widening slightly even as Kuronue appeared behind him. Turning around he faced his former partner watching him spin his pendant to wrap it around his hand.

“In the past you fled and left me to die.”

Kurama winched as if slapped; his words hurting him deeply, much more than anything else ever could. He still felt guilty that he had not been able to save Kuronue that day. He hadn't left him to die though had he? He was so confused.

“Now you are trying to destroy our dream.”

Kurama didn't get a chance to speak as Kuronue launched his blade allowing it to slide through the air while attached to a rope. Sighing Kurama leapt back out of the way of the attack clenching his fists to keep from fighting, and watched as the blade receded, his lips parting to speak, his heart heavy with sorrow.

“Kuronue, it is true that I could not rescue you that day… but please believe this, I…”

“Silence!” Kuronue had heard enough and sent his blades out again, three this time, he was toying with Kurama he knew, but he deserved it after what he did!

Kurama focused and began to dodge the deadly blades doing various jumps and flips with a swan-like grace, so that the movements looked like he was dancing instead of saving his own neck. Landing on the ground his step faltered and he fell to his knees, his wound from their earlier confrontation reopening, the pain fresh, blood seeping through the top he wore staining the garment.

“Kurama! Damn! We can't do anything in this fog!” Kuwabara swore looking around trying to catch a glimpse of their friend.

“Hn. This is his problem. He has to resolve it himself.” Hiei knew his tone appeared uncaring, but in truth he was worried about the fox. Kurama was not as ruthless in this form, and he was a softy for people he believed he had done wrong or hurt deeply. Surely it has nothing to do with the fact that the fox had managed to get under his skin and he was beginning to care for him.

Kurama was still on his knees when he heard yet another blade, sighing he grabbed his rose and leapt back his eyes narrowing slightly.

“Rose Whip!” The flower he had once been holding lashed out in the form of a long thorn covered whip and went straight for the blade cutting right through the rope. With a long chime of metal hitting concrete the blade fell, now lifeless.

“Mwahahahaha… What's wrong? You're not fighting back?” Kuronue tempted while stepping forward out of the fog once more watching Kurama fall to his knees again.

“Kuronue, what you are trying to do now is wrong.”

Kuronue couldn't keep his temper in check as those words fell from Kurama's lips. How dare he?!

“You say it's wrong? How dare you say that!” Yanking his blade back from its imbedded position in the concrete he yanked his arm up watching the deadly weapon launch into the air the chord glowing red. He was going to kill him, worthless traitor!

“Listen to me, Kuronue!” Kurama pleaded his pain written clearly on his face. He didn't want to fight him damn it!

“Shut up!” Kuronue yelled appearing out of the mists above Kurama falling toward him in an attempt to end this quickly, but only able to get his arm as Kurama rolled away. Getting up he glared at the pathetic sight before him.

“You still haven't remembered, have you? Your dirty act…”

Kurama let a small whimper of pain escape him as he looked up to see Kuronue swinging his pendant, and couldn't help but to become entranced by it. That sound? A swishing through the air… what was it? He wanted to know and yet he couldn't turn his gaze from the pendant that at one time he thought had been Kuronue's death.

“Traitor… Traitor… Traitor… Traitor… Traitor!”

Yusuke and the others stood still waiting for some sign of the battle below when they too began to hear the swishing sound echoing through the air.

“What's that eerie noise?” Kuwabara asked looking around nervously as his eyes narrowed slightly trying to focus on the sound.

No one said anything or barely breathed trying to find the source of the sound. Hiei too had begun to focus on it, when suddenly his hearing picked up on it and his eyes cut to the side suddenly. Wasting no time he pulled his blade and took a step to the side and threw it shocking Kuwabara who had thought for a moment it was a random attack on him, his arms opened wide in shock. Hiei ignored him listening when he heard his blade hit something and took off running toward it as the others finally got over their shock and followed.

A large curved blade with a crystal hanging from the handle was imbedded into the ground. Picking it up Hiei studied it in silence, a frown playing on his lips, as his eyes narrowed in anger.

“I thought so.”

“What it is?” Yusuke asked staring with the others at Hiei.

“He is causing many scythes like this to resonate and create a shield. Inside it, he is able to create evil hallucinations.”

“So Kurama's been tricked….” Hinageshi whimpered, her hand rising to her lips in horror. Why hadn't she caught this before? Now Kurama was in danger and it was her fault.

Meanwhile Kurama once more found himself under attack, his focus off, as he felt the blade slice through his flesh, a cry of pain falling from his lips as his body met the pavement.

“Now you can make up for your ugly past!”

“I…”

“What's wrong Kurama?” Kuronue sneered while he spun his pendant, a pleased and self-satisfying smile playing upon his lips.

“You want to kill me to save yourself again? Huhuhahahaha,” his laughter was cold, heartless, and completely at Kurama's expense. Oh how sweet revenge could be.

“No you're wrong. That time, your pendant…” Kurama whispered pushing himself up with his hands as Kuronue caught his pendant.

“I will use this scythe to cleanse off your ugly soul!” Kuronue yelled throwing his pendant at Kurama shocking the redhead.

“What?!” Kurama watched the pendant glide through the air as if in slow motion, his memories taking him back to the night Kuronue died. His pendant had fallen, and he had tried to get him to stop from going after it, but he hadn't listened and Kurama had watched in horror as the bamboo attack was launched impaling his partner's body. Kurama had screamed his name and had been about to go after him when Kuronue told him to forget about him and run.

“Now … the final blow…” Kuronue announced as the winds began to swirl around him and Kurama.

Kurama moved into the center of the fog swirling around him while on his knees. Reaching within his hair behind him he pulls a small leaf plant out, his eyes narrowing slightly in anger, and yet a deep sadness lurked within those emerald depths as he waited on the inevitable. It didn't take long for Kuronue to appear from above him again and about to strike, but the bat demon's breath suddenly caught, his scythe fell from his hands and down to the ground. A long branch pierced his stomach and Kuronue found himself in shock.

“You…”

“The one with the ugly rotten soul is you,” Kurama said his voice void of all emotion, cold, heartless, uncalculating. It was as if all good in him had died.

“You are not my old friend Kuronue!” Kurama's voice choked up for a moment before he shoved the being off his branch.

“Show me your true form!”

Kuronue held his stomach backing up with gasps of pain, before his image distorted and changed to that of a demon with reddish orange skin, bones decorating its form like armor and jewelry, and bright orange hair.

“How did you discover my trick?”

Kurama finally stood his eyes narrowed in disgust as he faced the being that used his memories against him, holding up the pendant he frowned finding himself completely disgusted.

“I could tell. First, Kuronue always carried this with him. He would never throw it away.”

Kurama became breathless as his anger soared highly, his ki rising, a yellow light surrounding him as for the first time Kurama lost complete control over his emotions. He never hated anyone, but right now in his boiling rage he hated this being before him, and for once he allowed the murderous rage to consume him, as he approached the demon.

“What's more, no matter the circumstances, he would never….” Kurama paused knowing he had lost all control, but he couldn't contain it, and as the anger and murderous thoughts ran through him it ignited a burning sexual lust that almost stole his breath from him.

“… attack an enemy from the rear!”

The demon yelled his anger and frustration at the sudden change of his plan and the fact that he was no longer in control of the situation.

“Take this!” he threw the scythe at Kurama only to watch in horror as it bounced right off of him not even leaving a scratch and still the boy approached!

“Kuronue risked his own life, telling me to run away, you twisted the friendship between me and Kuronue to your advantage! Haaaah!” The light surrounding Kurama turned blood red as his eyes shone white in an explosion of his rage not even noticing the demon stepping back with a look of sheer terror.

Vines lashed out from beneath Kurama sliding through the ground like scissors through paper, to impale the demon raising him up through the fog taking the form of a lush forest.

“What's this?” Kuwabara asked suddenly watching as the trees launched into the air.

Kurama… Hiei didn't even bother to answer Kuwabara before he moved with the speed he was known for away from the others leaving them to stare at Kurama's carnage in shock a bright yellow ball of light lighting up the sky above the newly formed trees.

Kurama stood alone in the mists of falling leaves his fury disappeared and yet it left behind a burning hunger, one that had him panting with desire and his need for release. Everything around him sent him shivering, the wind crushing against his face sending his hair dancing about him, the leaves caressing his skin as they fell from the sky. There he stood alone, taking deep breaths to calm the lust threatening to overwhelm him, his eyes closed to his surroundings, his entire being focused on the need eating away at him.

“So, even someone like you who is so cool, occasionally gets angry.”

Kurama's eyes opened as that deep masculine voice washed over him only furthering the hunger inside of him, his visage greeted by the fire koorime he desired. God Hiei… why you…

“Hn.” Hiei half laughed unable to help himself. He could sense Kurama's need, smell it upon the air like an aphrodisiac calling to him. So the fox had worked himself into a sexual frenzy… how interesting.

“That is good to know.”

Kurama watched as Hiei began to move towards him and forced himself to look away lest his friend see the hunger in him.

“Not being able to rescue Kuronue that day…”

“Kurama…”

The fox paused as a shiver rocked him from the way Hiei alone said his name. It rolled from his lips weaving a web of seduction unbeknownst he figured to the fire koorime. Sighing shakily he raised his green gaze to meet the red gaze of Hiei.

“There is no one who does not have scars on his heart,” Hiei paused in a slight turn before rethinking it and moved right up to the fox his body pressing against his as his voice danced out causing his lips to brush against Kurama's lips as he pulled the red head by his hair down to look him in the eye.

“If there were someone like that, he would be a shallow bastard.” Nothing more needed to be said as his lips captured the fox's in a kiss of passionate hunger.

Kurama felt his breath escape in a gasp of surprise as Hiei's lips took his own sending a fierce desire running through his body in the form of a shiver, his legs buckling.

Hiei smirked within the kiss and supported Kurama as his legs buckled. Crazy fox. Slowly he ran his tongue over Kurama's lips sweeping his tongue within as the fox opened a moan falling from both their lips. He's so sweet… Hiei felt his own desires rise quickly with each stroke of his tongue within the fox's mouth. Slowly though he broke the kiss to let the both of them breathe.

Kurama sucked in air despite the whisper that fell from his lips as Hiei broke the kiss, and yet he knew they must stop, the others would be coming soon. Though to his surprise Hiei pushed him back against one of the trees his smaller frame pressing into him.

“Hiei… wait… we…we can't…”

“We can…”

“W-we can't… the others will… be coming soon…”

“Cover us fox… you need this as much as I do…”

Kurama felt Hiei's now hard length press into him and knew he wouldn't be able to continue to fight Hiei on this. Reaching up as the koorime pressed into him Kurama pulled a single bud from his hair and threw it to the ground in front of them and forced some of the little ki he had left into it, once that was done the flower bloomed up large obscuring them from view as easily as a mask of illusion could have.

Hiei smirked and didn't waste anytime in undressing the fox allowing his clothing to fall in a small circle around them. He felt a smile twitch at his lips when he heard Kurama gasp from the sensitivity of his body as the wind brushed against it, while he himself worked on untying his belts and removed his cloak for the time being immediately pressing his body against Kurama's with a low groan.

Kurama whimpered his body on fire. He didn't know how much of this he was going to be able to take it was bad enough that he was in a sexual frenzy, but the way Hiei was rubbing against him like a feline in heat was about to undo him. Switching positions quickly he pressed Hiei back against the wall of the tree before kissing down his body until he came face to face with what it was he wanted to possess. Holding back his hair with one hand he took Hiei's entire length into his mouth, using his ability to deep throat loving the groan that fell from his lover's lips. God, but was Hiei ever hot in the throes of his pleasure.

Hiei sighed contentedly before allowing his hands to glide into Kurama's hair and grip even as he slightly began to move his hips in time with the movements of the fox's mouth. It was heavenly; Kurama's mouth, the slick moisture of the insides, his tongue flicking back and forth along the head of his cock. He felt himself twitch in warning and knew he had to stop.

“Kurama…you have to stop…”

Kurama slowly drew back and looked up at Hiei with soft emerald green eyes filled with confusion. He was quickly answered though when Hiei finally pulled him up off of his feet and into his arms immediately kissing him breathless, tearing a moan of pleasure and need from his lips that he hadn't even realized he could pull off, only to be followed by a gasp when he felt slick fingers slide into his body.

“Oh god Hiei…”

Hiei grinned slyly. Kurama hadn't been paying attention when he was busy with a mouthful and he had already wet his fingers, waiting for the perfect opportunity to use them, which was exactly right now. He couldn't wait much longer to have him and he knew they didn't have much time. He could actually hear the others looking for them even through the wall of the flower that locked in the sounds they made together, him and Kurama.

“Hieiiiiiiiii….” Kurama half groaned half screamed as fingers penetrated deeply to brush against that spot deep inside of his body, a spot that hadn't been stimulated in a long time now, was getting seriously worked. Kurama could feel a scream of hunger rising in the back of his throat, and dug his nails into Hiei's shoulders to warn him.

“Stoop a little low fox…” Hiei commanded watching as Kurama followed his order with his beautiful eyes closed, the fox was completely lost in his own desire, and Hiei couldn't help but to feel conceited that he was the one getting to see him like this, but the thought was short lived as Kurama sank down onto his throbbing length surrounding him immediately by the heat and tightness of his body.

Neither of them wasted no time their movements immediately beginning at the same time, hurried, desperate, there would be time for sensuality and long foreplay later, but in a moment of serious hunger they were dying for release. Kurama's hips jerked with each thrust put forth by Hiei, each time he drew deep within to strike that spot deep inside of him tearing screams from his lips, that he didn't care who heard, if anyone.

Hiei grunted and groaned softly, not a vocal lover by any means, but the shaking of his body told of the pleasure he found in Kurama. Wrapping his bandaged hand around Kurama's length while the other supported the fox in his slightly elevated position, he began to stroke him in time with their frenzied movements. The sight of Kurama's eyes opening wide, just as his mouth fell open in a low cry, was immediately burned into memory, sparkling, dazed, passionate, alluring, all this was Kurama at that moment and Hiei came undone, crying out just as Kurama's body began a series of spasms as he rolled through his orgasm, the sight of his release, the tightness of his body, all contributed to Hiei's undoing as a low groan fell from his lips as he emptied himself inside of Kurama branding the fox as his own.

“HIEIIIII” Kurama felt his head spinning as he felt the last of his strength slowly ebbing away from him as the force after his explosive temper was finally ebbed. He whimpered softly laying his head on that of Hiei's shoulder as the two slumped to the ground in sweet bliss and release.

Neither said anything for a few moments, the only sounds heard within the flower was both of their harsh breathing their eyes closed, their bodies still locked together, still holding one another, with Kurama shivering as Hiei stroked his back trying to calm the spasms still rocking him. Eventually the two found themselves calming down into a peaceful state and Kurama was almost disappointed that they would have to leave soon. Sighing he pulls a water flower from his hair and forces a little of his ki into it so that he may clean himself and Hiei up, but he didn't bother in deeper places within his own body, wanting to know that Hiei had branded him there.

Finally the two stood and began to get dressed and Hiei simply watched Kurama in silence, his red gaze focused on the face of the red head causing Kurama to blush. Shaking his head Hiei finished dressing before moving close to Kurama to brush his hair out of his face.

“Hn. We will discuss this later fox.”

Kurama said nothing but shivered even as the flower fell back to a seed and Hiei disappeared in a flash of black that Kurama almost didn't catch. He shook his head and looked over to his right in time to see Yusuke and the others walk up.

“You okay Kurama?”

“Yes… I am now…” Kurama whispered nodding his head to Yusuke, but his eyes were on Hiei now standing behind the others as if he had never left the group. Neither said anything but there was a promise in Hiei's gaze that spoke of words that needed to come, words that needed to be said, and yet neither knew how to come about it.

“Okay then, let's go.” Yusuke turned and began to walk off again the others lining up once more to follow his lead.

Hiei moved right next to Kurama and allowed his hand to brush against his for a moment, letting the fox know in his own sly way, that nothing between them had changed that much, but they did need to talk, and would in their own time… but for now… a battle still needed to be won to bring back the Spirit World and to protect the Human world… The Ningenkai ever knew what hit them, and in the end wouldn't even realize they were in danger… nor would they realize demons again… saved their pathetic existence. No they would go on once again as if nothing happened if they succeeded in this mission, never the wiser of the dangers their own hatred and evil brought into the world… Stupid Ningens…
