It was a cold night in the middle of December. As usual everyone was there; they were decorating the house for Christmas. Everyone was laughing including Genkai whose most of the time quiet and grumpy. No one neither even felt nor heard the heated battle outside, 3 kilometers away…

[Hiei's POV]

~Kuso. If he keeps this up I've got no choice but to run…~

Out came the roar of the hideous youkai charging at Hiei as if it gained determination to shred the other to pieces...

~Fine, you want it that way?!~

Hiei whirled slicing 3 of its 5 remaining arms1, spilling blood everywhere, and turning snow into red ice. The youkai, will not failing, threw itself again at Hiei, this time inflicting damage to the hi-koorime. Blood splattered again this time from Hiei. Growling in frustration, Hiei attacked again, but missed allowing the demon to thrust its dagger-like claws in his back almost hitting the spine.

~no... this can't be happening…~

Weak and frustrated the hi-koorime ran but the demon was still at him. He was slowing down, ki and blood was being drained from him. He had no choice. He ran towards the light, collapsing in front of them…

ROAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REI-GUN!!!!!!!!!!!

The demon charged but a beam of light stopped it, leaving a burnt hole across its torso.

"Yusuke, thank god…" gasped Yukina, absolutely shocked of what just happened. Genkai broke the silence, "The demon was chasing something. It has to be that boy that just destroyed my door…" Everyone looked at the unconscious bleeding demon.

Immediately everyone started cleaning up, Yukina, Botan and Genkai (with the help of Kuwabara) hauled the black clad demon into one of the rooms.

[2 hours past]

Two tired crimson eyes opened sighting the room he once been in; Genkai's temple.

1: the demon was an A-class with such endurance. It originally has 10 arms…

so how'd I do? First and stinky I guess… oh well! Wait for the next chapters!!!
