Chapter 3: A Reawakening

"___________? Wake up!" Hiei said forcefully, lightly patting your cheek. You remain silent and still, so he picked you up again and ran at light speed towards the portal to the Reikai Palace. You are still unconscious when you arrive at the palace.

++++ Reikai Palace ++++

"You stupid, fucking drool-bucket, what in the seven hells are you doing?" A very angry Hiei spat quietly as he kicked the door of Koenma's office in. He set your limp body down on the plush couch, then went to the toddler's desk and slammed his fists down on the hard surface.

"Hiei, what are you talking about?" The toddler's voice wavered slightly as the Fire Demon stared him down

"I mean, what the FUCK do you think you were doing letting a Tengu chase ________, she's not normal!" He shouted, loosing his tolerance for the child with a pacifier in front of him.

"We know she's not normal, we just can't figure out what it is about her." Koenma snapped. You started to stir on the couch, causing the two arguing to stop, and Hiei rushed over to help you sit up, while Koenma yelled at the nearest ogre to get you a glass of water. You stare around the room, while the ogre came back with the water and Hiei took it. You were having a hard time breathing because of the assault on your ribs.

"Where the fuck am I? I want…" your words were cut of by a spiky haired young man that looked at you as if he had known you for an eternity.

"Here, drink this." He said, placing the cool glass to your parched lips, you take it from his hands and drink it greedily. Hiei gave a small phantom smile at you. You finish the water and bring the glass from your lips, gasping slightly.

"Thanks, now I want answers." You were gaining back your snappish behavior, you were tired of being clueless to the fact that everything that was going on. "Where the FUCK am I, and because you look like your important, I want you to give me the answer straight up." You spat as you got up and stalked to the large desk with the toddler behind it.

You are a trapped demon." The spiky haired person said calmly from behind you. "You were a rare demon, like me, you are of fire and ice." He continued as he got up and walked to the wall, and leaned against it casually.

"What do you mean trapped? Fire and ice?" You ask turning around to face the person behind you. "I don't get it."

"You are a Forbidden Child." He stated plainly, he was not one to repeat himself, and you could tell. "You were, are a powerful demon that is being chased and hunted down because you are connected to me." It was a simple statement that wasn't meant to confuse, but to you, it did the job successfully.

"What the hell are you going on about you estranged whack-job? How am I connected to you?" You stalk up to him and put your face very close to his. Koenma watched this, intrigued that you did not remember your past.

"You helped me when I was left to die by the one person I trusted. You took me to your home and helped me. I had a great loss of blood and you gave me some of your blood to help. About four years later, you turned up asking for my help, and you too had lost a lot of blood. I helped you the same way you helped my, we are bound by blood." He was so calm that it startled you, you were still having issues comprehending the words flowing into your head.

"I remember……….." You started, but trailed off.

CD69: What do you remember? Wouldn't you like to know? Hehehehehe….*Giggles manically.*

Kaii: *Sigh* What are you doing?

Hiei: She is giggling manically, you should know she does this when she wants reviews.

Kaii: Yeah, yeah, I know….

Hiei: Ohhhhh, just review this so we can get this over with and I can go sleep!

CD69: Thank you Hiei, I didn't have to do any thing this time, Kawaii!! Hehehehe, how much fun… *stares off into space*

Kaii: *shakes head* You are so easily distracted.
